Good morning and Happy Sabbath. 00:00:31.48\00:00:33.97 We just want to welcome everyone who's tuning in 00:00:34.07\00:00:36.86 from around the world to 3ABN's Spring Camp Meeting 00:00:37.07\00:00:41.23 2013. We're coming to you live from the 3ABN Worship Center. 00:00:41.43\00:00:46.71 And we have a beautiful live audience with us here 00:00:46.91\00:00:50.38 and they're very lively this morning. Happy Sabbath! 00:00:50.41\00:00:53.50 Happy Sabbath. 00:00:53.80\00:00:55.41 Oh I love it! You know what? 00:00:55.51\00:00:57.63 It is not only a day that memorializes God as Creator 00:00:57.93\00:01:02.39 but as the One who's re-creating us in the image 00:01:02.69\00:01:05.42 of Jesus Christ. My favorite scripture on the Sabbath 00:01:05.52\00:01:09.00 is Exodus 31:13. 00:01:09.20\00:01:11.10 That it is God who sanctifies us. 00:01:11.40\00:01:14.87 That's His will for us. 00:01:14.97\00:01:16.38 And I just want to as I'm getting ready to introduce 00:01:16.58\00:01:19.36 a song here I want to read a scripture to you. 00:01:19.56\00:01:22.44 Comes from John chapter 10 00:01:22.64\00:01:24.68 and I'm going to read... begin in verse 27. 00:01:24.88\00:01:27.36 This is Jesus speaking and He said: 00:01:27.76\00:01:29.80 "My sheep hear My voice 00:01:30.10\00:01:32.31 and I know them and they follow Me. 00:01:32.51\00:01:34.60 And I give them eternal life 00:01:34.90\00:01:38.10 and they shall never perish. 00:01:38.30\00:01:40.43 Neither shall anyone else 00:01:40.74\00:01:44.08 snatch them from out of My hand. 00:01:44.28\00:01:45.99 My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all 00:01:46.29\00:01:49.56 and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. 00:01:49.70\00:01:53.32 I and My Father are One. " 00:01:53.62\00:01:55.78 I've heard what doesn't kill us makes us strong. 00:02:12.29\00:02:17.43 And I've heard it's always darkest before the dawn. 00:02:19.23\00:02:25.19 But all I know is that God's promises 00:02:26.39\00:02:31.23 are true 00:02:31.43\00:02:34.11 and He only wants what's best for you. 00:02:34.31\00:02:40.16 We have this hope 00:02:40.56\00:02:42.92 that all hurting will be gone. 00:02:43.22\00:02:47.17 We have this hope 00:02:47.57\00:02:50.27 that all tears will be left behind. 00:02:50.47\00:02:54.57 I know down here life is hard 00:02:56.08\00:02:59.80 and the world is so unkind 00:03:00.00\00:03:03.41 but hold on because 00:03:03.61\00:03:06.10 we have this hope. 00:03:06.40\00:03:11.12 Every one of us has heartaches and trials. 00:03:14.16\00:03:20.08 Just remember we're only here 00:03:21.28\00:03:24.23 for a short while. 00:03:24.34\00:03:28.20 Sometimes I feel I've had more 00:03:29.26\00:03:33.00 than my share 00:03:33.21\00:03:36.24 but He won't give us more 00:03:36.54\00:03:39.60 than we can bear. 00:03:39.80\00:03:42.53 We have this hope 00:03:42.83\00:03:45.31 that all hurting will be gone. 00:03:45.61\00:03:49.67 We have this hope 00:03:49.97\00:03:52.62 that all tears will be left behind. 00:03:52.92\00:03:56.92 I know down here life is hard 00:03:58.38\00:04:02.16 and the world is so unkind 00:04:02.46\00:04:05.78 but hold on because 00:04:06.08\00:04:08.67 we have this hope. 00:04:08.98\00:04:12.38 And this hope for us 00:04:12.78\00:04:16.70 is Jesus. 00:04:17.00\00:04:22.96 So hold on because 00:04:26.02\00:04:29.01 we have this hope. 00:04:29.32\00:04:35.21 Amen! 00:04:44.91\00:04:46.72 I have the great pleasure of introducing you to someone 00:04:49.61\00:04:54.44 who's very special to me. This is Shannon Knight, 00:04:54.64\00:04:57.60 and she and her husband Derek have become members of the 00:04:57.81\00:05:00.20 Seventh-day Adventist Church. 00:05:00.30\00:05:01.96 And they have two beautiful children. 00:05:02.26\00:05:04.91 And they're such a special addition to our church 00:05:05.11\00:05:07.73 because they've just jumped in 00:05:07.83\00:05:09.47 and really done many wonderful things. 00:05:09.67\00:05:12.42 But Shannon, first of all thank you for being here. 00:05:12.72\00:05:15.61 Don't be nervous. Thank you for having me. 00:05:15.81\00:05:18.31 OK, let me ask you... We want you to tell 00:05:18.41\00:05:21.70 your story. You had a relationship with the Lord 00:05:21.90\00:05:25.87 for a long time - right - before you learned 00:05:26.07\00:05:29.00 additional truths, right? Right. 00:05:29.10\00:05:31.05 Tell me about it. We were deeply rooted in the Baptist 00:05:31.35\00:05:34.79 faith... it was over 30 years. 00:05:34.89\00:05:38.07 And just one day driving to work I was changing the radio 00:05:38.47\00:05:42.54 stations and I came across a sermon. 00:05:42.75\00:05:45.25 And it was very powerful and convicting. 00:05:45.66\00:05:48.71 What radio station was this? 00:05:50.25\00:05:52.49 It was 95.9- 3ABN Radio. 00:05:52.89\00:05:56.73 So you were watching... You know, there's a lot of folk 00:05:57.03\00:05:59.63 who listed to our local radio station. 00:05:59.66\00:06:02.39 But you said it was "moving and convicting. " 00:06:02.69\00:06:06.10 Was it different than what you'd heard before? 00:06:06.31\00:06:08.25 Yes. The sermon was on the importance of keeping 00:06:08.55\00:06:11.52 the Sabbath and also how much paganism is wrapped up 00:06:11.62\00:06:15.49 in Christianity. All right. So when you... 00:06:15.59\00:06:18.99 Did you just hear this sermon once? Or did you tune in to this 00:06:19.30\00:06:22.24 radio station frequently? 00:06:22.44\00:06:24.26 Every time I got in my car after that I would keep it 00:06:24.47\00:06:27.10 on that same radio station. 00:06:27.20\00:06:28.87 All right. Now when you came home 00:06:29.17\00:06:31.87 and you started learning some of these truths 00:06:32.27\00:06:35.33 what did you say to Derek your husband? 00:06:35.63\00:06:38.94 I said: "Honey, we're doing a lot of things wrong. " 00:06:39.18\00:06:42.07 Just love to hear that, don't you? 00:06:44.35\00:06:46.80 And you hear it all the time, don't you? 00:06:47.10\00:06:49.04 All right. Now you were really becoming convicted 00:06:50.06\00:06:53.33 because you were having the opportunity to listen 00:06:53.53\00:06:55.57 in the car. What did... How did Derek react when you 00:06:55.67\00:06:58.66 first told him you were doing a lot of things wrong? 00:06:58.76\00:07:01.01 Well, at first he thought I was crazy. 00:07:01.41\00:07:03.86 But the more I told him the more interested he became. 00:07:05.24\00:07:08.23 And we got rid of our satellite television at home 00:07:08.73\00:07:12.72 because of all the negative influences that were coming in. 00:07:12.82\00:07:16.39 How old are your children now? 00:07:16.69\00:07:18.54 Ten and twelve. 00:07:19.04\00:07:20.07 You know, what she just said is a good thing to follow. 00:07:20.16\00:07:23.19 That there is so much negative things on some of the regular 00:07:23.39\00:07:27.22 secular television and it has an impact on those young minds. 00:07:27.32\00:07:31.36 So you got rid of that and then what'd you do? 00:07:31.56\00:07:35.13 My husband put up a digital antenna 00:07:35.33\00:07:38.24 and we could get all of the 3ABN channels very clearly. 00:07:38.44\00:07:43.46 And so he started watching 00:07:43.86\00:07:46.13 and he would call me at work and say: "Ahh, guess what 00:07:46.43\00:07:49.58 I just heard? " 00:07:49.68\00:07:51.29 All right. But you know something? These folk had been 00:07:52.14\00:07:54.60 Christians for 30 years. They were Baptist Christians 00:07:54.80\00:07:57.95 and they were very serious. They even were helping 00:07:58.25\00:08:00.97 plant a church in this area. 00:08:01.17\00:08:03.08 That's what brought you to the area, wasn't it? Um-hmm. 00:08:03.18\00:08:05.50 So they were very serious about their commitment 00:08:05.70\00:08:08.86 to the Lord. But now when you hear these truths 00:08:09.06\00:08:13.06 did that mean that you just immediately hopped in the car 00:08:13.26\00:08:15.85 and went to a Seventh-day Adventist church? 00:08:16.05\00:08:18.09 No. We researched for 4 years. 00:08:18.39\00:08:22.33 Praise the Lord! Amen! Praise the Lord! 00:08:24.40\00:08:28.23 They investigated scripture. 00:08:28.44\00:08:30.75 You got in... you dug in the scripture 00:08:30.95\00:08:33.80 because you didn't want to be deceived. 00:08:34.10\00:08:36.37 You mentioned to me something about truth. 00:08:36.57\00:08:39.21 You said... "We know there's only one truth 00:08:39.41\00:08:42.13 and that it's found in the scripture. " 00:08:42.33\00:08:43.95 Amen! Amen! 00:08:44.25\00:08:46.26 So you weren't just going to let somebody that was talking 00:08:46.56\00:08:48.85 in the pulpit say something that was moving to you. 00:08:48.95\00:08:51.51 You were going to prove it from scripture that it was correct. 00:08:51.81\00:08:54.49 Yes. So obviously your four years paid off. 00:08:54.79\00:08:57.55 Now how did you feel about first coming to the 00:08:57.95\00:09:03.18 Thompsonville Seventh-day Adventist Church? 00:09:03.28\00:09:05.24 Well we were a little nervous about changing churches 00:09:05.64\00:09:09.21 'cause that is a big step and changing faith. 00:09:09.41\00:09:11.84 We were concerned that everyone would treat us as outsiders... 00:09:14.22\00:09:19.56 that we would be the only ones that weren't born and raised 00:09:19.76\00:09:23.90 Adventist and that people would just think we were different. 00:09:24.00\00:09:27.66 And what was your experience, Shannon? 00:09:28.06\00:09:30.36 Oh it's such a loving church. 00:09:30.56\00:09:32.99 Praise God! Praise God! 00:09:33.29\00:09:35.19 And I have to tell you: these precious people 00:09:35.49\00:09:38.65 have been such a wonderful addition because 00:09:38.95\00:09:43.68 they're doers of the Word. 00:09:43.88\00:09:45.69 And they are a wonderful addition 00:09:45.79\00:09:47.70 and I'm just so glad that they walked into a loving church 00:09:47.90\00:09:50.81 and I hope all Adventist churches are loving. 00:09:51.01\00:09:52.91 But you also said something else to me 00:09:53.01\00:09:55.32 that I just think is precious. 00:09:55.53\00:09:57.07 You said since you started keeping the Sabbath 00:09:57.10\00:09:59.97 that something has happened as far as what God is 00:10:00.38\00:10:05.15 doing by the power of His Holy Spirit. Tell us about that. 00:10:05.35\00:10:08.47 The only thing we can attribute it to is keeping the Sabbath 00:10:08.87\00:10:12.47 because we've always read our Bible 00:10:12.67\00:10:15.34 and, you know, stayed in the Word. 00:10:15.54\00:10:17.61 But it is such a deeper understanding of scripture. 00:10:17.91\00:10:23.29 She told me backstage and I didn't know... 00:10:23.42\00:10:26.86 You know, I've known them for some time but I didn't realize 00:10:27.06\00:10:29.08 it took four years of investigation to make sure. 00:10:29.18\00:10:32.71 But aren't you glad that she's sure? 00:10:32.91\00:10:34.78 Amen! And she told me backstage... 00:10:34.99\00:10:37.35 She said: "Our growth in understanding of the Word 00:10:37.55\00:10:41.33 has been exponential since they've begun keeping 00:10:41.53\00:10:46.16 the Sabbath. " And it hasn't been without its struggles. 00:10:46.26\00:10:49.96 There's been some... Your husband's in business 00:10:50.27\00:10:52.11 for himself. Um-hmm. There's been some challenges 00:10:52.31\00:10:55.27 but all in all God is blessing. 00:10:55.47\00:10:57.29 And your children are going to school here now? 00:10:57.39\00:10:59.53 Yes. And they love it. It just have to tell you 00:10:59.73\00:11:02.67 we love this precious family. 00:11:02.87\00:11:04.85 And we're so grateful that 3ABN, and I hear this everywhere I go, 00:11:05.05\00:11:09.05 3ABN is the greatest tool for evangelism 00:11:09.25\00:11:13.28 in the hands of the Lord today. 00:11:13.38\00:11:15.30 And we're reaching millions around the world 00:11:15.50\00:11:18.46 and even in our own back yard. Thank you very much. Thank you. 00:11:18.66\00:11:22.01 Now we have a gentleman here who has a shirt on. 00:11:25.83\00:11:29.31 What does that say on your shirt? I think it says 3ABN. 00:11:29.51\00:11:33.01 Praise God! We've all got shirts on but... 00:11:33.11\00:11:34.71 I mean... well the ladies don't - but.. 00:11:34.74\00:11:36.73 3ABN and Bob, you are a full-time volunteer. 00:11:37.52\00:11:42.16 That's correct. God brought me and Alice here, my sweetheart - 00:11:42.46\00:11:45.11 all right - just a little over a year ago. 00:11:45.31\00:11:47.01 OK. We've been here ever since and plan to stay her till 00:11:47.21\00:11:49.54 the Lord moves us on to a hole in the ground. 00:11:49.64\00:11:52.11 All right. 00:11:52.31\00:11:53.57 Well... well... 00:11:53.87\00:11:56.43 I mean you got me going there. I'm laughing. 00:11:56.63\00:11:58.95 Now Bob, your background is a little bit different 00:12:02.76\00:12:05.61 than Shannon's. Shannon was a Christian 00:12:05.81\00:12:07.70 and she took 4 years in study and so forth. 00:12:07.90\00:12:11.76 You had one of those big-dish satellites. 00:12:12.06\00:12:15.59 Yes, that's correct. It was the Fall of 1997. 00:12:15.69\00:12:18.33 Bored to death. Addicted to pornography 00:12:18.73\00:12:21.13 and many other things in my life. 00:12:21.33\00:12:22.42 There was nothing I wanted to watch on TV 00:12:22.52\00:12:24.18 so I started surfing the satellites 00:12:24.38\00:12:26.40 and I came across Doug Batchelor. 00:12:26.70\00:12:28.50 And in '97 3ABN and Doug Batchelor 00:12:28.71\00:12:31.64 collaborated together and they put on what was called 00:12:31.74\00:12:34.29 the Satellite Seminar. It was not a Net 00:12:34.39\00:12:36.63 like most of us are used to like Net '99. 00:12:36.84\00:12:38.56 I watched that. I was fascinated with it 00:12:39.56\00:12:41.75 and two weeks into that program I was a born-again Seventh-day 00:12:41.95\00:12:45.12 Adventist Christian. Amen! 00:12:45.22\00:12:46.84 How am I going to pay tithe? I'm getting pork out of my freezer. 00:12:46.94\00:12:49.54 The rest of it, just... What am I? God help me with this! 00:12:49.74\00:12:53.25 Yeah. Now you had started out in life with... 00:12:53.45\00:12:56.97 You were smoking the time you were what? Seven years old? 00:12:57.10\00:12:59.90 Seven years old. Older children introduced my sister and myself 00:13:00.10\00:13:02.90 to nicotine. I became addicted and smoked for over 20 years. 00:13:03.10\00:13:06.79 My sister took one drag, got sick, and never smoked 00:13:06.99\00:13:09.25 another day in her life. 00:13:09.35\00:13:10.89 Well listen, then alcohol came into your life? 00:13:11.96\00:13:15.81 Yes. Back in the '50s, '60s, the families would gather together 00:13:16.01\00:13:20.27 from the neighborhood. They would sit around and play 00:13:20.48\00:13:21.81 their penny ante poker and their canasta and different card games 00:13:21.91\00:13:24.66 and they always had their alcohol - their liquor, 00:13:24.96\00:13:27.22 their beer, their whiskey, whatever - and of course 00:13:27.32\00:13:29.03 we would pester mom and dad: "Can we have a sip? 00:13:29.13\00:13:30.82 Can we have a sip? " And they finally would break down 00:13:30.92\00:13:33.36 and give us a sip. And therefore for over 30 years 00:13:33.46\00:13:36.38 I was addicted to alcohol. 00:13:36.58\00:13:37.85 All right. And you were always thin like this, right? 00:13:38.05\00:13:41.79 Yeah, except for the time when I weighed 200 pounds. 00:13:41.89\00:13:43.83 Right. 00:13:44.03\00:13:45.25 That was shortly after the Fall of '97 when I came 00:13:46.56\00:13:50.01 to the health message. 00:13:50.11\00:13:51.28 And I would like to clarify one thing. 00:13:51.48\00:13:53.31 We hear and we speak many times of the Seventh-day Adventist 00:13:53.41\00:13:56.44 health message. The Seventh-day Adventists 00:13:56.64\00:13:59.06 do not have a health message, God does. 00:13:59.16\00:14:01.36 He has asked us as a people to preach that message 00:14:01.56\00:14:04.12 and to teach people. 00:14:04.22\00:14:05.51 That's how much I weighed when I came to 3ABN, 00:14:06.52\00:14:09.62 when I came to God through 3ABN and Doug Batchelor 00:14:09.92\00:14:12.19 in 1997. Amen! Baptized in 1998. 00:14:12.30\00:14:15.40 My pastor in the little town I was in would not baptize me 00:14:15.50\00:14:18.44 because I had to study what at that time was the 27 Fundamental 00:14:18.54\00:14:22.43 Beliefs. And I walked in the door and said: 00:14:22.53\00:14:25.21 "Baptize me... I'm ready. " 00:14:25.31\00:14:26.76 And I had to go through the studies so it was '98 00:14:26.96\00:14:29.18 before I got baptized. All right. 00:14:29.29\00:14:31.80 Well they wanted to make sure, Bob, because... You know... 00:14:32.00\00:14:34.28 Yes. But we have this happen over and over again. 00:14:34.48\00:14:39.13 People walk through the door and they know as much 00:14:39.33\00:14:42.56 about this message as they possibly can. 00:14:42.76\00:14:45.42 And some of the pastors immediately baptize them 00:14:45.72\00:14:49.05 and some want to go ahead and take them through studies. 00:14:49.15\00:14:52.31 Well listen, you're now... you're a volunteer here. 00:14:52.51\00:14:54.94 Yes, praise God! What do you do here? 00:14:55.14\00:14:57.39 From 1:30 this afternoon on - that's why I'm wearing my work 00:14:57.79\00:15:00.43 clothes - I will be behind one of the cameras that... 00:15:00.53\00:15:02.61 that are filming or taping us at this time. 00:15:02.81\00:15:05.54 Tear down; set up studios for the various programs 00:15:06.37\00:15:09.05 that are put on. Shuttle runs. 00:15:09.15\00:15:11.28 I also do the shuttle for the Camp Meeting. 00:15:11.38\00:15:13.35 St. Louis airport: people that need to be picked up and taken 00:15:14.55\00:15:17.71 back and forth. Pretty much anything that 3ABN needs 00:15:17.81\00:15:20.41 if I have any qualification at all 00:15:20.61\00:15:22.28 all they have to do is call on me and I'm ready. 00:15:22.48\00:15:24.33 And you and Alice actually moved here, right? 00:15:24.73\00:15:27.64 Yes we did. We came here for the intent... 00:15:27.74\00:15:29.69 We came originally for both of us to volunteer. 00:15:29.99\00:15:32.59 That was our plan. God had other plans. 00:15:32.79\00:15:35.66 During the interview process they actually offered Alice 00:15:35.76\00:15:38.37 a full-time position - paid position - here at 3ABN. 00:15:38.47\00:15:41.03 All right. Which at the time we didn't know we needed. God did, 00:15:41.33\00:15:43.63 and He fulfilled that need for us as He always will. 00:15:43.83\00:15:46.19 And by the way, we are always looking 00:15:46.49\00:15:48.85 for qualified volunteers. So if you'd like to be a part 00:15:48.95\00:15:52.34 of that you can be. You just contact Mollie 00:15:52.45\00:15:56.29 and she begins the process. We go through a process 00:15:56.49\00:16:01.07 of looking at all the different requirements 00:16:01.27\00:16:05.88 that you have and the ability you have. 00:16:06.08\00:16:07.82 But also your references 00:16:08.02\00:16:10.45 and just like we would hiring somebody. Yeah. 00:16:10.65\00:16:13.14 We don't just let somebody drive in and volunteer 00:16:13.27\00:16:17.34 without going through that. So it is important 00:16:17.44\00:16:20.29 and we appreciate all that you're doing, Bob... 00:16:20.49\00:16:22.94 you and Alice both. God bless you. 00:16:23.14\00:16:25.47 Thank you so much. 00:16:25.77\00:16:27.01 I'm here with Eric Zottel and I think I want to start 00:16:28.93\00:16:31.95 with a punch line first. Eric, where are you from? 00:16:32.15\00:16:35.36 West Branch, Michigan. 00:16:35.66\00:16:37.57 In Michigan. How far away is that? 00:16:37.87\00:16:39.48 It's according to the GPS 618 miles. 00:16:39.88\00:16:43.98 All right. Eric showed up here one Wednesday afternoon 00:16:44.28\00:16:48.12 just about closing time. Everybody was gone. 00:16:48.22\00:16:51.59 And what was your request when you came? 00:16:51.83\00:16:53.72 Well, I wanted to talk with a pastor and I wanted to be 00:16:54.76\00:16:58.40 baptized. He came with a request. He said: "I want to be 00:16:58.50\00:17:01.67 baptized and I want to be baptized now! " 00:17:01.77\00:17:05.57 So guess what we did... we baptized him. 00:17:07.96\00:17:11.25 We surely did. He is now a baptized member 00:17:11.45\00:17:14.04 of the Seventh-day Adventist church. Amen? 00:17:14.24\00:17:16.13 Amen. All right, now let's back up a little bit. 00:17:16.33\00:17:18.37 How did you first hear about the Adventist church 00:17:20.24\00:17:22.86 and about 3ABN? Well, I faced a little bit of trauma 00:17:22.89\00:17:28.20 with my dad when he had some heart trouble. 00:17:28.31\00:17:31.40 I stopped by one day to see my dad 00:17:31.50\00:17:33.95 and he said he wasn't feeling well. 00:17:34.25\00:17:37.19 And when I looked at him he was real green in the face. 00:17:37.49\00:17:40.01 And so we had to take him to the hospital. 00:17:40.91\00:17:43.50 And it got me started on something that 00:17:43.80\00:17:46.45 had come up in my life before. Most people have faced it: 00:17:46.65\00:17:49.64 the seriousness of "What are we here for? " 00:17:49.84\00:17:52.74 and "What about death? " and "What's this all about? " 00:17:52.94\00:17:55.48 So I started reading my Bible. 00:17:55.78\00:17:58.09 And as I read and was learning on my own 00:17:58.49\00:18:01.53 I also... soon after, I don't know exactly when... 00:18:01.73\00:18:05.08 I started listening to 3ABN on the radio. 00:18:05.18\00:18:07.63 A local radio station there by the Adventist church... 00:18:08.04\00:18:11.13 the local church's re-broadcast of 3ABN. 00:18:11.33\00:18:14.58 So... When you began listening to 3ABN 00:18:14.88\00:18:18.68 did the truths... the things that you were hearing... 00:18:18.88\00:18:22.25 did they sound strange to you? New to you? 00:18:22.45\00:18:24.31 Different to you? Was it a change in your life? 00:18:24.52\00:18:26.41 Very new to me. The amazing thing is that 00:18:26.81\00:18:30.03 because I had grown up as a Catholic 00:18:30.23\00:18:33.78 and was raised by very devout Catholic Christian parents - 00:18:33.98\00:18:37.85 a wonderful family - that I had never read the Bible. 00:18:38.05\00:18:41.61 I had it with me and I went to Catholic school 00:18:42.01\00:18:46.89 and I never read it for myself until I was an adult. 00:18:47.09\00:18:49.74 So when I read it for the first time 00:18:50.04\00:18:52.50 and then soon after found the radio station 00:18:52.70\00:18:55.28 it became easier for me to accept because I would read 00:18:55.58\00:18:58.64 and study and I would hear things that were consistent 00:18:58.74\00:19:01.71 with what I was learning. Amen. 00:19:01.91\00:19:04.15 What was it like the first time you stepped into a SDA church? 00:19:04.29\00:19:08.36 Well, that was interesting. It's a very small church. 00:19:09.42\00:19:12.33 A very loving church... wonderful people. 00:19:12.53\00:19:15.33 But only about 5-7 people, 00:19:15.73\00:19:18.84 so very small from what I'm used to. 00:19:18.94\00:19:21.40 And there was no pastor there. We have a pastor that has 00:19:21.90\00:19:25.15 three churches and can only be there every other week. 00:19:25.26\00:19:27.52 So it was a bit of a shock. 00:19:27.82\00:19:29.76 The church I heard about on 3ABN on the radio 00:19:29.96\00:19:32.56 when you walk into that it was shocking to me. 00:19:33.99\00:19:38.03 This is where I'm going to go to church? 00:19:38.33\00:19:42.03 Here then is the 64 million dollar question I should think: 00:19:43.80\00:19:47.42 why the 7-9 hour drive all the way down here to be baptized? 00:19:47.62\00:19:52.39 Well, believe it or not I faced some struggles 00:19:53.07\00:19:56.82 with being baptized. Just circumstances kept coming up 00:19:57.02\00:20:02.60 that seemed to stop that... 00:20:02.80\00:20:04.36 both for myself - a little hesitation - and... 00:20:04.66\00:20:07.06 and just amazing things that had happened. 00:20:07.46\00:20:10.58 And I finally got to the point where I was grieved by this. 00:20:10.78\00:20:13.63 And I decided that, you know... The Lord impressed me 00:20:13.93\00:20:17.85 that I need to step out in faith and do something. 00:20:17.96\00:20:20.61 I didn't understand what exactly, but this is where I got 00:20:20.81\00:20:24.01 my spiritual food. A big source of it was from that little 00:20:24.12\00:20:28.42 radio station and 3ABN. 00:20:28.52\00:20:30.81 So I knew that there were people here that were following 00:20:31.01\00:20:34.25 the Spirit, and I came here. 00:20:34.35\00:20:37.42 You came down. It's 5:30 PM. 00:20:37.62\00:20:40.16 I grabbed Dee, grabbed Larry McLucas. 00:20:40.36\00:20:42.58 I said: "Run some water. We don't care whether it's 00:20:42.68\00:20:44.83 cold or hot. Just get some water in a tank. " 00:20:44.93\00:20:47.59 We came over here. I gave him a quick 30-second 00:20:47.79\00:20:50.22 Bible study. He sounded good; he answered the questions 00:20:50.32\00:20:52.35 all the right way and we baptized him in the 00:20:52.45\00:20:54.37 name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. 00:20:54.47\00:20:56.61 And he is a baptized member even now. 00:20:56.81\00:20:58.59 Last question very quickly in the last few seconds: 00:21:02.89\00:21:04.62 how does it feel now to be a member of the world-wide 00:21:04.72\00:21:07.04 family of God? It is... it's a big relief 00:21:07.14\00:21:11.90 to have the truth and not have to worry about 00:21:12.10\00:21:15.02 someone breaking that apart on me. 00:21:15.22\00:21:17.75 To actually have something where I can come in and... 00:21:17.95\00:21:20.06 and bring my mind and my intellect and be a whole person. 00:21:20.36\00:21:24.27 That's something that's new to me, 00:21:25.68\00:21:27.54 and I'm looking forward to sharing that with others. 00:21:27.64\00:21:29.86 Amen; amen; amen. 00:21:30.16\00:21:31.83 The cherry on the sundae: he's young; he's Adventist; 00:21:32.03\00:21:36.11 he has his own business; and he's single! 00:21:36.41\00:21:39.96 I'm going to sit down here next to Brenda. Hi Brenda. 00:21:44.39\00:21:47.47 Hi, how you doing? Brenda Keifer, right? Yeah. 00:21:47.57\00:21:50.05 And you've probably been going to Adventist churches 00:21:50.36\00:21:53.60 all your life? Nope! No? No. 00:21:53.71\00:21:56.71 Is this your first time? Yes, sir. 00:21:56.81\00:21:58.69 All right. Everybody glad she's here today? 00:21:58.89\00:22:00.97 Amen! All right! 00:22:01.17\00:22:02.93 Thank you. I understand that you... you 00:22:03.13\00:22:06.61 are from Benton. You live over in Benton. 00:22:06.81\00:22:09.50 Originally from St. Genevieve, Missouri, but 00:22:09.70\00:22:11.63 I've lived in Benton now about, I guess it's been about 00:22:11.83\00:22:16.30 20-25 years... so I'm a Bentonite. 00:22:16.50\00:22:19.35 All right, so you're from Benton now. 00:22:19.55\00:22:21.07 And you've been listening. Today's like we always talk 00:22:21.18\00:22:23.34 about 3ABN television... today's a 3ABN Radio day. 00:22:23.44\00:22:26.71 Yes. So you were listening, switching channels 00:22:26.91\00:22:29.53 or listening to radio and you heard somebody laugh. 00:22:29.73\00:22:31.95 Yes. Tell us about it. Yeah. 00:22:32.05\00:22:34.70 Reverend Murray. I had gotten a new radio 00:22:34.90\00:22:38.22 and I was trying it out and seeing what it could do 00:22:38.42\00:22:43.03 and so forth, and I happened to run across 00:22:43.13\00:22:46.79 the dial and all of a sudden I heard this... 00:22:46.99\00:22:50.15 There was some conversation going on and I didn't know 00:22:50.35\00:22:53.35 what it was about or who it was or anything. 00:22:53.45\00:22:55.17 And someone said something and he laughed, 00:22:55.57\00:22:59.68 and when he laughed it seemed like he just... 00:22:59.82\00:23:02.26 he laughed all over. You know, it was amazing. 00:23:02.57\00:23:06.50 I thought: "Well I don't know what that fellow finds so funny 00:23:06.90\00:23:09.68 but I'm laughing now and I don't know why! " 00:23:09.98\00:23:12.77 A friend of mine came in the room and she said: 00:23:14.93\00:23:16.88 "What's so funny? " And I said: "I haven't the fainted idea... 00:23:17.08\00:23:19.48 not the foggiest. " And she said: "You're laughing 00:23:20.76\00:23:23.68 but you're... " I said: "I don't know why but... " 00:23:23.79\00:23:25.20 I said "this guy I'm listening to, he must be one of the 00:23:25.40\00:23:30.19 happiest people on earth because boy he's really laughing. " 00:23:30.29\00:23:33.97 And his laugh was infectious. 00:23:34.37\00:23:36.75 OK, good. And so I started listening, you know, 00:23:37.05\00:23:39.59 once in a while here and there. 00:23:39.89\00:23:41.52 And then the more I listened the more I realized 00:23:41.72\00:23:45.53 that there was something going on more than just 00:23:45.73\00:23:47.70 listening to his laughter - um-hmm - because 00:23:47.80\00:23:50.07 I've been born and raised Catholic like this gentleman 00:23:50.27\00:23:53.50 here who just spoke. Um-hmm. My whole family's Catholic. 00:23:53.60\00:23:56.94 And I was baptized, of course, in the Catholic church. 00:23:57.14\00:24:01.41 As a matter of fact, I was baptized twice 00:24:01.81\00:24:03.73 because when I moved from St. Louis to St. Genevieve 00:24:03.93\00:24:06.10 the priest down there didn't know that I'd been baptized 00:24:06.31\00:24:09.73 for sure, so he asked me to come down at 11 years old - 00:24:09.93\00:24:12.19 OK - to be baptized again. So I'm the only person 00:24:12.49\00:24:14.87 in Missouri I guess that's been baptized twice. 00:24:14.97\00:24:17.10 But anyway, the more I... All my friends were Protestant. 00:24:17.60\00:24:21.76 And I began reading the Protestant version of the Bible, 00:24:22.16\00:24:26.10 and the more I read it the more it made much more sense 00:24:26.30\00:24:28.31 than what I was reading. Um-hmm. 00:24:28.61\00:24:30.06 What I was hearing. So were you a member of any church? 00:24:30.26\00:24:33.70 Yeah, I was a member of the Catholic church. 00:24:33.91\00:24:36.24 And then after that... did you become... join any - no - 00:24:36.34\00:24:38.81 other churches? No. Right now I guess I can't really say 00:24:39.01\00:24:42.66 that I'm a member of any church because I've stopped going 00:24:42.87\00:24:47.74 to the Catholic church. Except well... There was a situation 00:24:47.94\00:24:51.84 where I went with my family because of a funeral situation. 00:24:51.94\00:24:56.80 I know a church that'd be really happy to have you. 00:24:56.93\00:24:59.26 Oh you do? Yeah, I do. I could... I wonder who that 00:24:59.46\00:25:01.86 would be? Yeah, I don't... I can't imagine. 00:25:01.97\00:25:04.01 Probably... probably right here in this church. 00:25:04.11\00:25:06.17 Yeah, I could be part of it. 00:25:06.27\00:25:07.34 Absolutely. Tell us about C.A. 00:25:07.59\00:25:11.34 Then you heard another sermon by him. 00:25:11.54\00:25:13.37 Oh yeah. Then I turned it on again because I was intrigued 00:25:13.48\00:25:17.01 and remembered what the call letters were and so forth. 00:25:17.21\00:25:20.15 So I turned it on again and I just kept listening. 00:25:20.29\00:25:23.60 Was intrigued by what I was hearing... different people... 00:25:23.90\00:25:26.40 and found out who the gentleman was with the infectious laughter 00:25:26.70\00:25:32.53 and heard him give a sermon. Um-hmm. 00:25:32.73\00:25:36.09 One of the first ones was when he was teaching people 00:25:36.59\00:25:39.76 how to roller skate. Roller skate? And he walked in... 00:25:39.86\00:25:42.57 He sounds like a different kind of preacher. 00:25:42.67\00:25:44.33 He's laughing and roller skating. 00:25:44.53\00:25:46.04 Yeah... that's exactly what I thought. 00:25:46.24\00:25:48.22 The ones that I know walked around like they were half dead 00:25:48.42\00:25:50.78 and I couldn't get that, you know? 00:25:52.54\00:25:56.65 Uh-huh. And so one of the first sermons I heard 00:25:56.96\00:26:00.34 like I said was the one that he talked about 00:26:00.44\00:26:01.97 he would teach people to roller skate and then 00:26:02.17\00:26:05.14 in the evening they'd get together and have a Bible study. 00:26:05.44\00:26:09.28 And I thought: "Boy, that's a clever way to get people 00:26:09.58\00:26:11.41 in... the kids... interested. You know that's good. " 00:26:11.61\00:26:13.97 Um-hmm. And so I kept listening and the more I listened 00:26:14.27\00:26:16.92 the more I liked it. And that's been about two years ago. 00:26:17.02\00:26:22.45 Two years. How did you get in contact with C.A.? 00:26:22.75\00:26:24.70 We only have a couple minutes left. 00:26:24.80\00:26:26.25 I just called 3ABN - 00:26:26.65\00:26:30.06 um-hmm - and I thought: "Well this is ridiculous. 00:26:30.26\00:26:32.65 He doesn't know me from Doodery. " 00:26:32.85\00:26:35.23 You know, and I asked if there was any way I could contact him. 00:26:35.43\00:26:39.06 And they gave me a telephone number 00:26:39.36\00:26:41.91 and I called it. Didn't get any answer. 00:26:42.11\00:26:44.78 And called it again, and he answered this time. 00:26:45.18\00:26:49.67 OK. And we talked a little bit. 00:26:49.97\00:26:51.56 At the time I was going through an extremely serious 00:26:51.76\00:26:54.78 cancer scare - um-hmm - which turned out to be just fine, 00:26:54.88\00:26:57.78 thank God. So did he actually come and see you? 00:26:57.98\00:27:02.76 Yeah, he did about three days ago for the first time. 00:27:02.96\00:27:05.48 All right. Yeah. All right. 00:27:05.58\00:27:07.21 And so what do you hope? 00:27:07.41\00:27:09.08 What's your plans for the future? What do you think is 00:27:09.18\00:27:11.35 gonna happen through all of this? 00:27:11.45\00:27:12.68 You think this is accident or divine providence? 00:27:12.78\00:27:15.93 Oh no, I don't believe anything was accident. No. 00:27:16.03\00:27:17.84 Yeah... God has His hand in this right? Oh yeah! 00:27:18.04\00:27:20.88 Yeah. 'Cause I can tell the progression what's happened 00:27:21.08\00:27:23.60 and so forth, you know. All right. 00:27:23.70\00:27:25.01 Brenda, you're a blessing. We want to welcome you today 00:27:25.31\00:27:28.88 for being here... your first time in church. 00:27:29.08\00:27:30.88 Thank you. You're learning a lot of new truths. 00:27:31.08\00:27:32.93 Yes sir, yes sir... I sure am! 00:27:33.04\00:27:35.11 It's making a change in your life? Um-hmm! 00:27:35.31\00:27:37.26 Um-hmm. Absolutely. Yeah. Even my best friend said... 00:27:37.56\00:27:40.97 She said: "I can see it. " 00:27:41.18\00:27:42.99 All right. She sees me all the time. 00:27:43.19\00:27:45.41 She knows me I guess better than anyone does 00:27:45.61\00:27:47.73 and she said: "Yeah, I can really see it. " 00:27:47.93\00:27:49.39 All right. I'm going to ask for our folks a show of hands. 00:27:49.70\00:27:53.31 How many of your will promise to pray for Brenda? 00:27:53.41\00:27:56.06 All right. Now look at all these hands. Oh. 00:27:56.26\00:27:58.19 See the monitors up here or the screen? 00:27:58.29\00:28:00.39 See all these hands going up? 00:28:00.59\00:28:02.15 See, I need all the help I can get, so that's good. 00:28:02.25\00:28:04.14 Some of them had two hands up. 00:28:04.54\00:28:06.62 Did you see that? Two hands up! 00:28:06.82\00:28:08.90 Like I said, I need all the help I can get so that's fine. 00:28:09.10\00:28:11.35 Well listen, your future? You know you have a church 00:28:11.49\00:28:14.88 here - yes sir - and you're a sister in the Lord already. 00:28:15.08\00:28:18.33 You're no longer a visitor. This is your first time here. 00:28:18.43\00:28:20.35 We let you be a visitor today. OK. 00:28:20.56\00:28:22.56 After this you're just family, OK? OK, and I'm thinking about 00:28:22.66\00:28:26.53 very strongly about baptism. 00:28:26.73\00:28:28.61 Really? Praise... Can anybody say "Praise the Lord" 00:28:28.81\00:28:31.19 on that one? Praise the Lord! All right. 00:28:31.39\00:28:32.90 And now I wonder who would do it? 00:28:33.10\00:28:34.78 Oh I can't imagine. I think his name is Murray. 00:28:34.99\00:28:36.88 C.A. Murray... OK! 00:28:37.08\00:28:38.49 Yes. You know what? I think he'll be very happy to do it! 00:28:38.70\00:28:41.18 I hope so 'cause he's the one I wanted to do it. 00:28:41.38\00:28:43.03 Thank you, Brenda. God bless. 00:28:43.23\00:28:45.44 Just before Magna Parks comes to give us our study for the 00:28:47.04\00:28:50.48 morning we're going to ask Tammy Chance to come and... 00:28:50.58\00:28:53.43 and sing "Through the Years. " 00:28:53.64\00:28:55.58 And we're so thankful for Tammy: her beautiful voice 00:28:55.68\00:28:57.45 and her beautiful spirit. And then after she shall have sung 00:28:57.55\00:29:00.67 the next voice will be Magna Parks - Dr. Magna Parks - 00:29:00.87\00:29:03.85 who will give us the study for this morning. 00:29:04.15\00:29:07.44 "Don't waste your time in lookin' back" 00:29:17.76\00:29:21.08 I've heard a lot of people say. 00:29:21.39\00:29:24.80 "Just keep your eyes on the future... 00:29:25.20\00:29:28.62 forget the things you did yesterday. " 00:29:28.72\00:29:32.54 But every now and then I like to look back 00:29:32.84\00:29:35.94 and reminisce how good it's been 00:29:36.34\00:29:39.94 walkin' on this Christian journey 00:29:40.34\00:29:44.08 and havin' Jesus as my friend. 00:29:44.29\00:29:47.13 Through the years He's blessed me, 00:29:47.33\00:29:50.76 through the years He's kept me. 00:29:50.96\00:29:54.51 The good times and the bad 00:29:54.71\00:29:58.20 He's been the best friend I've ever had. 00:29:58.41\00:30:02.07 Through the years I'll love Him; 00:30:02.37\00:30:05.95 through the years I'll serve Him 00:30:06.15\00:30:09.96 till I reign with Him forever 00:30:10.09\00:30:13.63 through the years. 00:30:13.83\00:30:18.57 Beautiful memories He's given me 00:30:29.55\00:30:33.33 along with blessings by the score. 00:30:33.63\00:30:36.73 Love like I thought could never be 00:30:37.14\00:30:40.77 got sweeter than each day before. 00:30:41.07\00:30:44.34 Oh, I know that I could never explain it: 00:30:44.65\00:30:47.87 the joy His love and goodness brings. 00:30:48.27\00:30:52.01 And if He's been just as good to you 00:30:52.41\00:30:56.03 why don't you join in and sing? 00:30:56.33\00:30:58.92 Through the years He's blessed me; 00:30:59.16\00:31:02.87 through the years He's kept me. 00:31:03.17\00:31:06.59 Through the good times and the bad 00:31:06.89\00:31:10.38 He's been the best friend I've ever had. 00:31:10.58\00:31:14.20 Through the years I'll love Him; 00:31:14.50\00:31:18.09 through the years I'll serve Him 00:31:18.29\00:31:22.36 till I reign with Him forever 00:31:22.67\00:31:25.58 through the years. 00:31:25.88\00:31:30.81 He's been a strong and a mighty tower. 00:31:31.03\00:31:34.54 He's never left me in my darkest hour. 00:31:34.75\00:31:38.34 I know He won't fail me now 00:31:38.55\00:31:41.67 or through the years. 00:31:41.98\00:31:44.82 Through the years He's blessed me; 00:31:45.12\00:31:48.38 through the years He's kept me. 00:31:48.68\00:31:52.17 Through the good times and the bad 00:31:52.48\00:31:55.85 He's been the best friend I've ever had. 00:31:56.05\00:31:59.72 Through the years I'll love Him; 00:31:59.92\00:32:03.55 through the years I'll serve Him 00:32:03.85\00:32:07.66 till I reign with Him forever 00:32:08.06\00:32:11.19 through the years. 00:32:11.50\00:32:16.74 Through the years. 00:32:18.95\00:32:24.92 Through the 00:32:26.72\00:32:28.84 years. 00:32:29.04\00:32:33.81 Amen! 00:32:35.29\00:32:36.34 Good morning everyone. Good morning! 00:32:40.05\00:32:43.00 Now I've been accused of talking fast 00:32:43.14\00:32:45.06 and I tried to slow down yesterday. But today I only have 00:32:45.36\00:32:48.37 35 minutes so I'm going to be talking fast, OK? 00:32:48.47\00:32:50.95 Let's bow for prayer. 00:32:51.35\00:32:53.04 Father, we thank you so much for this privilege of being able 00:32:53.54\00:32:56.36 to come before You on this beautiful Sabbath day. 00:32:56.46\00:32:58.89 We thank you for the testimonies and the songs, 00:32:59.09\00:33:01.12 and as we approach this delicate topic I pray that 00:33:01.22\00:33:03.58 Your Holy Spirit may be with me, 00:33:03.68\00:33:05.07 may be with those who are listening here today 00:33:05.37\00:33:08.21 and by television and radio. 00:33:08.31\00:33:10.01 Thank you for this opportunity and we just praise Your name. 00:33:10.11\00:33:12.78 In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. 00:33:12.98\00:33:14.84 The story is told by Dr. Karl Menninger, 00:33:15.34\00:33:18.36 a psychiatrist, of a man stand- ing on a busy Chicago street. 00:33:18.46\00:33:23.16 He stood there solemnly and as people would walk by 00:33:23.46\00:33:26.24 the person nearest to him he would point to them and say: 00:33:26.44\00:33:28.63 "Guilty. " Then he would put his hand back down. 00:33:28.83\00:33:31.04 This is a true story. He would stand there for a little while 00:33:31.24\00:33:33.71 longer and another person would walk by near to him 00:33:33.91\00:33:35.85 and he would point and say: "Guilty. " 00:33:35.95\00:33:37.63 The people would look at him, 00:33:37.93\00:33:40.15 they'd look at other people, they'd look away, 00:33:40.25\00:33:42.30 and then they'd scurry along. 00:33:42.40\00:33:43.57 Finally one man said: "But how did he know? " 00:33:43.87\00:33:48.32 We laugh, but every single one of us sitting here today 00:33:50.04\00:33:54.25 are guilty. Do you know what we're guilty of? 00:33:54.35\00:33:57.39 Sin. Lying, cheating, 00:33:58.08\00:34:02.27 gossiping, criticizing, 00:34:02.48\00:34:05.79 backbiting, killing with our tongue. 00:34:06.73\00:34:10.03 We're guilty of sin, brothers and sisters. 00:34:10.33\00:34:12.34 I read a book probably about two months ago... 00:34:12.64\00:34:15.82 no it was more than that, maybe six months ago... 00:34:16.02\00:34:17.72 written by a psychiatrist who I don't think is a Christian 00:34:18.02\00:34:22.44 at all. And the title of the book was 00:34:22.54\00:34:25.50 "Whatever Became of Sin? " 00:34:25.80\00:34:28.18 I want to share this quote that Dr. Menninger 00:34:30.23\00:34:32.80 mentioned in his book. You'll be reading it on the screen. 00:34:32.90\00:34:35.21 And it says: 00:34:35.32\00:34:36.43 We don't like to talk about sin. 00:35:14.14\00:35:16.12 We may mention it here and there 00:35:16.32\00:35:17.50 even though the Bible says we've all sinned and done what? 00:35:17.60\00:35:19.85 You know, we throw that phrase around 00:35:21.37\00:35:23.13 and we say it, but do we really realize that? 00:35:23.33\00:35:25.85 I wonder. 00:35:26.25\00:35:27.53 And we look through the Bible we see that God wasn't 00:35:27.93\00:35:30.06 afraid of sin. He would address sin in different ways 00:35:30.16\00:35:33.12 and He would ask questions like in the Garden of Eden. 00:35:33.32\00:35:35.21 After Adam and Eve took the fruit He came and asked 00:35:35.51\00:35:38.49 questions, did He not? 00:35:38.60\00:35:39.85 We have Nathan appearing to David 00:35:40.16\00:35:42.67 giving him the parable and David realizing 00:35:42.77\00:35:45.13 was incriminating himself. 00:35:45.23\00:35:46.49 Even Jesus... we talk about how loving Jesus was 00:35:46.69\00:35:49.22 and compassionate. But even Jesus didn't stay away from 00:35:49.42\00:35:51.98 talking about sin. The woman who was almost stoned. 00:35:52.09\00:35:54.60 He was gracious and compassionate with her, 00:35:54.80\00:35:56.52 but then He said what? "Go and sin no more. " 00:35:56.72\00:35:59.40 And then the man that He healed at the pool. 00:35:59.60\00:36:01.46 And then afterwards He saw him later. He said: 00:36:01.66\00:36:03.66 "Sin no more lest a worst thing come upon you. " 00:36:03.86\00:36:07.00 So God was not afraid of dealing with sin... but we are. 00:36:07.20\00:36:10.44 And we know the general definition for sin. 00:36:10.54\00:36:13.97 It is what? We as Adventists really know this. 00:36:14.17\00:36:15.88 Sin is the transgression of the law. I John 3:4. 00:36:16.08\00:36:20.04 And I'm not making fun of that but we know that. 00:36:20.18\00:36:22.66 We can quote that. But sin is also other things. 00:36:22.76\00:36:25.20 James 4:17 says that he that knoweth to do good 00:36:25.40\00:36:28.40 and doeth it not... It is what? Sin. 00:36:28.50\00:36:30.12 And not only is sin doing bad things... 00:36:30.32\00:36:33.20 sin is also when we don't do the things we should do. 00:36:33.60\00:36:36.37 Isaiah talks about "Cease to do evil and learn to do good. " 00:36:36.57\00:36:41.18 When we don't do good, when we don't help our brothers 00:36:41.39\00:36:43.98 and sisters that are less fortunate, 00:36:44.09\00:36:45.78 we are committing sin. 00:36:45.88\00:36:47.33 These are the things that we are staying away from 00:36:47.53\00:36:49.61 and Dr. Menninger was concerned about that. 00:36:49.71\00:36:52.02 Now there are a few things that I think have contributed 00:36:52.42\00:36:55.25 to us getting to this point where we don't want to talk 00:36:55.35\00:36:58.05 about sin. The enemy #1 doesn't want us to talk 00:36:58.15\00:37:01.55 about it. He wants to keep us deceived because 00:37:01.65\00:37:04.01 if he can keep us deceived and we don't talk about sin, 00:37:04.11\00:37:06.16 we won't go to the Savior looking for help. 00:37:06.26\00:37:08.39 This is a quote. You will read it with me on the verse... 00:37:08.59\00:37:10.46 on the screen... that the enemy talks about... 00:37:10.66\00:37:12.99 that's focused on when we talk about sin. 00:37:13.39\00:37:16.81 That's his plan. 00:37:27.81\00:37:29.01 And if he makes it attractive, we won't talk about it as sin 00:37:29.11\00:37:32.54 brothers and sisters. 00:37:32.64\00:37:33.91 The other thing that I see happening 00:37:34.21\00:37:36.44 is that we are fearful of offending people. 00:37:36.64\00:37:39.89 Now I am not saying and encouraging us to offend people 00:37:40.86\00:37:44.05 on purpose. But sometimes this fear of offending 00:37:44.15\00:37:47.82 makes us careful of pointing things out. 00:37:48.02\00:37:52.23 And this is happening even in our dear church... 00:37:53.18\00:37:56.04 Christian church and the Seventh-day Adventist church. 00:37:56.35\00:37:59.47 But this woman who was actually a Catholic I don't know 00:37:59.77\00:38:04.94 what exactly... a theologian or something. 00:38:05.15\00:38:07.31 She wrote a book called Speaking of Sin. 00:38:07.51\00:38:10.27 I thought it was real interesting. 00:38:10.37\00:38:11.65 And this is what she said in regards to offending. 00:38:11.75\00:38:14.07 It's on the screen... read it: 00:38:14.17\00:38:15.46 Is grace and forgiveness important? 00:38:38.47\00:38:40.28 But we need both brothers and sisters. 00:38:40.58\00:38:43.24 Not just grace and forgiveness but also sin and repentance. 00:38:43.54\00:38:48.88 We also are hesitant in talking about sin 00:38:49.18\00:38:52.46 because we feel we're going to make the wrong judgments 00:38:52.66\00:38:55.26 about people. And we should be hesitant about that. 00:38:55.36\00:38:57.84 But sometimes in our fear of making the wrong judgments 00:38:58.04\00:39:03.06 we may miss something. 00:39:03.26\00:39:04.93 Mohammad Atta... I don't know if I'm pronouncing his name well 00:39:05.23\00:39:07.97 but he was the mastermind behind September 11, 2001. 00:39:08.17\00:39:11.91 He came into an office in Florida 00:39:12.11\00:39:14.79 and he wanted a loan to buy these cropdusters. 00:39:15.09\00:39:18.43 He got angry at the woman and said: "What about if 00:39:18.73\00:39:22.03 I went behind the desk and slit your throat? " 00:39:22.13\00:39:24.41 Then she had an aerial picture of Washington 00:39:25.52\00:39:28.54 and he started asking her questions about the security 00:39:28.85\00:39:31.92 with Washington and he also did some other things. 00:39:32.12\00:39:35.52 And she didn't... She was so nice to him 00:39:35.82\00:39:38.52 and didn't say much. 00:39:38.62\00:39:39.93 She was interviewed on one of these programs - I think 00:39:40.03\00:39:41.80 ABC News Tonight or one of the others. 00:39:41.90\00:39:44.31 This book I mentioned earlier about... Remember I mentioned 00:39:44.51\00:39:47.20 the book One Nation Under Therapy? 00:39:47.31\00:39:49.97 The psychiatrist talks about in there about how Americans 00:39:50.17\00:39:52.44 have gotten so nice and don't want to talk about and point out 00:39:52.54\00:39:54.90 what's wrong. And the woman said on the show: 00:39:55.00\00:39:58.08 "Why didn't you address this thing? " 00:39:58.28\00:40:00.00 And she said: "Oh, he was a foreigner from out of town 00:40:00.10\00:40:02.96 and so I thought he was trying to adjust to coming 00:40:03.06\00:40:05.00 into the American culture. " 00:40:05.10\00:40:06.63 You say that, brothers and sisters, but we do the same 00:40:07.80\00:40:10.36 thing sometimes. Someone is doing something wrong 00:40:10.46\00:40:13.50 but we're fearful of making the wrong judgment. 00:40:13.61\00:40:15.51 And sometimes we NEED to say something and do something 00:40:15.61\00:40:18.73 and we don't know what we can PREVENT 00:40:18.93\00:40:21.21 by saying or doing something. 00:40:21.41\00:40:22.56 Am I saying we should go around walking, acting as judges? 00:40:22.76\00:40:25.49 No, but there are some things... I heard C.D. Brooks say 00:40:25.69\00:40:28.40 "We're not judges... we're just fruit inspectors. " 00:40:28.60\00:40:31.83 Amen? And when you see the fruit, you can call the fruit 00:40:33.62\00:40:36.89 for what it is. 00:40:36.99\00:40:38.32 The other thing that I think has affected us with sin 00:40:38.42\00:40:40.72 is my dear colleagues... psychologists. 00:40:40.82\00:40:43.48 You know what Dr. Menninger talks about in his book: 00:40:44.04\00:40:46.87 he says: "Certain things that we used to call sin 00:40:47.07\00:40:50.36 now has a diagnostic label. " 00:40:50.56\00:40:52.78 We have a diagnosis for everything. 00:40:54.29\00:40:56.44 Lord help me as I say this, but I see this happening 00:40:56.64\00:40:58.74 in our pulpits too. 00:40:58.94\00:41:00.40 I see our pastors sometimes turning into counselors 00:41:00.71\00:41:04.11 in our pulpits as opposed to pointing out what's right 00:41:04.31\00:41:07.39 and wrong. Now there's a way to do that, 00:41:07.50\00:41:09.34 and I'm going to mention that. 00:41:09.44\00:41:10.77 But this quote shows it real well on the screen 00:41:10.97\00:41:13.13 if you read it with me. 00:41:13.23\00:41:14.68 The quote goes on: 00:41:33.42\00:41:35.11 I see this happening more and more brothers and sisters. 00:41:54.24\00:41:56.82 I have a burden because I see as a psychologist 00:41:57.02\00:42:01.37 and I hear the stories that are resulting 00:42:01.57\00:42:05.04 from us not pointing out what's right and wrong. 00:42:05.24\00:42:07.24 That's why this is a burden for me: 00:42:07.87\00:42:09.90 'cause I see the end results. 00:42:10.20\00:42:11.56 In society and in the church we are moving away from this. 00:42:11.86\00:42:15.16 And what happens is that instead of calling out sin 00:42:15.36\00:42:18.44 we start to place the blame for sin on external factors. 00:42:18.64\00:42:22.75 There was once an American university professor 00:42:23.05\00:42:26.25 who was caught making obscene phone calls. 00:42:26.45\00:42:29.48 You know what he ended up doing? 00:42:29.68\00:42:31.14 He ended up checking himself in for treatment 00:42:31.44\00:42:34.68 and he blamed it on his past childhood abuse. 00:42:34.88\00:42:37.86 External factors. 00:42:39.04\00:42:40.44 We've heard of stories of priests being found 00:42:40.74\00:42:43.07 molesting children, correct? 00:42:43.27\00:42:44.95 On particular priest went to therapy for two years 00:42:45.15\00:42:48.32 and at the end they asked: "What did you learn from this? " 00:42:48.62\00:42:51.32 He says: "Well, I think my childhood was fixated at 00:42:51.52\00:42:56.09 age 7 or 8 and that's why I was molesting these children. " 00:42:56.29\00:42:59.65 The sad part is that might have been related to it. 00:43:00.60\00:43:02.85 They put him back into the parish and guess what he 00:43:03.05\00:43:05.21 continued to do? Molest children. 00:43:05.31\00:43:08.16 It helps to call it sin brothers and sisters 00:43:09.11\00:43:12.01 and to deal with it. 00:43:12.21\00:43:13.24 Not only is this affecting us in this way. 00:43:13.52\00:43:15.71 When we don't deal with sin 00:43:16.01\00:43:18.01 it has an impact on other people. 00:43:18.21\00:43:20.54 Do you remember the story of Joshua and Achan? 00:43:20.84\00:43:23.65 Now if Joshua was a different kind of leader 00:43:24.81\00:43:26.95 what do you think would have happened to Israel? 00:43:27.05\00:43:28.91 After they were defeated and Joshua went before the Lord 00:43:29.31\00:43:32.70 falling on his face and saying: "What's happened? " 00:43:32.90\00:43:34.64 The Lord said: "There's sin in the camp. " 00:43:34.84\00:43:36.48 Thank God Joshua pointed it out, 00:43:37.50\00:43:39.66 was able to follow, and Achan confessed sadly. 00:43:39.86\00:43:42.13 Was sad what happened to Achan's family 00:43:42.43\00:43:44.67 but the point is it was because of sin in the camp 00:43:44.87\00:43:47.80 that they were not able to overcome this particular nation 00:43:47.91\00:43:51.55 that they were fighting. 00:43:51.75\00:43:52.89 Could that be happening in our camps today, 00:43:53.09\00:43:55.03 brothers and sisters? 00:43:55.13\00:43:56.46 I'm getting more and more calls from people who have been 00:43:56.56\00:43:58.90 mistreated by leaders, taken advantage of. 00:43:59.00\00:44:02.38 And they're leaving the churches; they're in despair. 00:44:02.58\00:44:05.66 They're distraught because nothing has been done 00:44:05.76\00:44:08.44 with the leader. 00:44:08.54\00:44:09.93 I'm saying it 'cause I'm frustrated with it. 00:44:10.33\00:44:13.53 I'm going to be honest with you. 00:44:13.63\00:44:14.73 We're not dealing with sin. 00:44:14.83\00:44:16.27 We're transferring them from one church to the other, 00:44:16.47\00:44:18.63 we're doing other things, and we're not dealing with sin. 00:44:18.93\00:44:21.64 And people are hurting and dying as a result of this. 00:44:22.04\00:44:25.06 And this is bothersome to me. 00:44:25.26\00:44:26.75 And then I'm not going to just talk about the leaders. 00:44:27.05\00:44:29.03 There are many of us sitting in here today 00:44:29.23\00:44:31.22 who have secret sins that no one knows about. 00:44:31.25\00:44:33.74 And it's eating us like a cancer brothers and sisters. 00:44:34.65\00:44:38.06 We need to address these things. 00:44:38.46\00:44:40.55 Listen to Dr. Menninger... what he says. 00:44:40.85\00:44:42.60 This is what led him to write the book. He says: 00:44:42.80\00:44:44.58 "As a psychiatrist he was seeing more and more individuals 00:44:44.78\00:44:49.80 who were displaying symptoms of physical sickness 00:44:50.00\00:44:53.19 which were rooted in a sense of guilt... 00:44:53.39\00:44:56.50 both false and real guilt. 00:44:56.80\00:44:58.99 He observed that when he was able to get the individuals 00:44:59.29\00:45:02.83 with whom he dealt to open up through confession 00:45:03.03\00:45:08.25 they experienced great relief. " 00:45:08.45\00:45:10.65 Remember... this is a secular psychiatrist. 00:45:10.86\00:45:12.78 Dr. Menninger wondered why more was not being said about 00:45:13.08\00:45:18.06 sin and the need for confession and repentance 00:45:18.16\00:45:21.18 in our churches. 00:45:21.38\00:45:23.02 He wondered why sin was not being taken seriously 00:45:23.22\00:45:27.09 in our churches and wondered at whatever became of sin. 00:45:27.19\00:45:31.62 Consider the situation of David. 00:45:33.67\00:45:35.78 In Psalm 32:3-4... you'll read it on the screen... 00:45:36.08\00:45:39.37 he says: 00:45:39.47\00:45:40.50 This is a clear example of what happens to some people 00:45:56.61\00:46:00.65 when sin is not called out. It says: 00:46:00.75\00:46:03.24 "Oh, nobody knows what I've done... I'm fine. 00:46:15.97\00:46:18.00 You know, I've covered it up with the death of Uriah. 00:46:18.20\00:46:20.20 I'm just fine. " 00:46:20.40\00:46:21.43 So during that time when nobody - he thought - 00:46:27.88\00:46:30.92 knew about the sin and he's going along 00:46:31.02\00:46:33.20 he's suffering not only mentally but physically. 00:46:33.40\00:46:38.33 Do you know that some people are suffering from physical 00:46:38.63\00:46:41.42 illnesses because of guilt and not dealing with sin? 00:46:41.62\00:46:46.31 I've seen it time and time again as I've spoken with people. 00:46:46.61\00:46:49.62 This guilt can really weigh down on us 00:46:49.92\00:46:52.22 because we're not calling out sin in our own lives. 00:46:52.42\00:46:55.82 David experienced peace, a sense of relief 00:46:56.12\00:46:59.90 after confessing his sin due to Nathan's calling it out. 00:47:00.10\00:47:03.86 This is another aspect of calling out sin. 00:47:04.16\00:47:07.29 We need to be doing it in our own lives. 00:47:07.39\00:47:09.75 That little white lie that you told the other day? 00:47:09.95\00:47:12.48 It's a sin brothers and sisters. 00:47:12.68\00:47:14.51 When that woman walked by and you said something about her 00:47:15.76\00:47:19.40 that she knows nothing about? It's a sin brothers and sisters. 00:47:19.50\00:47:22.66 When you made that little number change on your tax form 00:47:23.61\00:47:28.06 that's a sin brothers and sisters. 00:47:28.26\00:47:30.00 The list goes on and on and on. 00:47:30.40\00:47:33.00 Sin is something that we need to call out. 00:47:33.50\00:47:36.24 And pastors as with Nathan... they have the role of helping 00:47:36.54\00:47:40.76 ministers to see the sin. 00:47:40.86\00:47:42.58 Listen to what Dr. Menninger says 00:47:42.78\00:47:44.45 as we show it on the screen. 00:47:44.55\00:47:46.34 Do you all understand what that's saying? 00:48:15.66\00:48:17.50 Some people are sitting there and the guilt is just there. 00:48:17.80\00:48:19.94 And we can talk about His goodness and His expectations 00:48:20.04\00:48:23.66 of mankind to forgive and all of that. 00:48:23.76\00:48:25.28 But they're sitting there and the roar of guilt is just 00:48:25.38\00:48:27.50 affecting their mind. He goes on to say with the quote: 00:48:27.60\00:48:31.38 Now notice what he says here. 00:48:54.10\00:48:56.18 Not only should you point out the sin but you should also 00:48:56.38\00:48:58.63 point out the what? 00:48:58.73\00:48:59.91 So it's not only about getting up and blaming people on 00:49:00.92\00:49:03.75 the head with all the things they've done wrong. 00:49:03.86\00:49:05.72 People must also know there is a solution as well. 00:49:05.92\00:49:09.81 Understanding this concept helps me to better understand 00:49:10.21\00:49:14.16 some of the quotes I've read in Spirit of Prophecy about this. 00:49:14.26\00:49:16.89 It's like Menninger almost picks up Spirit of Prophecy. 00:49:17.13\00:49:19.74 Some point when I was reading his book I was saying: "Hmmm, 00:49:19.94\00:49:21.78 she must have read some of this. " 00:49:21.98\00:49:23.41 Listen to this quote... Or "He must have read some of this. " 00:49:23.61\00:49:25.42 Listen to this quote. You'll see it on the screen. 00:49:25.52\00:49:27.09 She said this way before Menninger wrote this thing 00:49:54.56\00:49:59.55 about sin. But as I went through Spirit of Prophecy 00:49:59.65\00:50:01.55 there are a lot of quotes that she mentioned - 00:50:01.75\00:50:03.03 I couldn't put them all up - where she talks about the need 00:50:03.13\00:50:05.85 to talk about sin. And if Menninger could read this 00:50:05.96\00:50:08.77 he would be exited to know that there is a church 00:50:08.87\00:50:11.08 who has a messenger who tells us that we should deal with sin. 00:50:11.28\00:50:14.43 Some people don't like the idea of talking about sin 00:50:14.73\00:50:18.10 and when we bring this up they say: "You know, 00:50:18.41\00:50:20.44 we shouldn't get into sin. " And there are consequences 00:50:20.64\00:50:23.24 for this. Look at the quote on the screen 00:50:23.34\00:50:26.64 from Testimonies 3 page 328. 00:50:26.74\00:50:29.43 So when you decide that you want to talk about sin 00:50:50.50\00:50:53.05 be prepared for the consequence. OK? However, 00:50:53.15\00:50:57.12 we must point out sin in the manner that Christ did it. 00:50:57.36\00:51:02.64 Very important. In I Timothy 4:2 00:51:02.95\00:51:06.95 the apostle Timothy says: "Preach the Word. 00:51:07.25\00:51:10.99 Be instant in season, out of season. 00:51:11.20\00:51:14.66 Reprove, rebuke, exhort 00:51:14.86\00:51:17.66 with all longsuffering and doctrine. " 00:51:17.87\00:51:21.79 That last part is really important. 00:51:22.09\00:51:24.12 Notice he says "with all longsuffering. " 00:51:24.32\00:51:26.93 The servant of the Lord in Acts of the Apostles 00:51:27.23\00:51:29.50 says that this has to do with revealing the patience 00:51:29.60\00:51:32.64 and the love of Christ. 00:51:32.94\00:51:35.07 If you're not going to use or ask God for His patience 00:51:35.27\00:51:39.26 and His love, do not call out sin, brothers and sisters, 00:51:39.36\00:51:42.00 'cause you will do more harm than good. 00:51:42.30\00:51:44.48 She goes on to say in Acts of the Apostles... 00:51:44.88\00:51:46.96 you will read the quote on the screen: 00:51:47.16\00:51:48.42 Can we do this on our own, brothers and sisters? 00:52:17.01\00:52:19.23 It's a balanced walk that we need to have. 00:52:19.53\00:52:21.93 Only the Holy Spirit can give us that balance 00:52:22.14\00:52:24.97 where we love the sinner but we lovingly go to them 00:52:25.27\00:52:29.17 and talk to them... when the Holy Spirit leads us... 00:52:29.37\00:52:31.68 to talk to them and share about what they're doing wrong. 00:52:31.98\00:52:34.82 In fact, I believe I've read in one of the Testimonies 00:52:34.85\00:52:37.11 where she says: "If you're not willing to lay down your life 00:52:37.31\00:52:41.07 for that person, you need to think twice about going to 00:52:41.27\00:52:43.46 talk to them. " Because you have to have the right type of 00:52:43.56\00:52:46.82 motive and the love in your heart. 00:52:46.92\00:52:48.93 So that is very important. 00:52:49.13\00:52:50.93 I truly believe - that's why this is a burden on my heart - 00:52:51.23\00:52:54.07 I truly believe that some of the heartache and the difficulties 00:52:54.27\00:52:57.61 we are experiencing in our lives as Christians 00:52:57.71\00:53:00.37 would we redeem if we spent more time calling out sin. 00:53:00.67\00:53:05.17 We need to be shaken and convicted as Christians 00:53:05.47\00:53:08.46 when we come to church, when we spend time with God alone. 00:53:08.56\00:53:11.98 All of these we need to be in situations where we're 00:53:12.18\00:53:15.57 shaken up to see ourselves. 00:53:15.67\00:53:17.14 We've been hearing a call for revival. 00:53:17.35\00:53:19.07 Thank God for President Wilson who's been telling us 00:53:19.17\00:53:21.92 we need revival. But brothers and sisters, 00:53:22.12\00:53:24.54 revival is also connected to calling out sin. 00:53:24.74\00:53:27.31 And we look through the Bible and we see when John the Baptist 00:53:27.94\00:53:31.05 came he called out sin and others. When revival occurred 00:53:31.25\00:53:34.30 amongst God's people connected with that was also 00:53:34.40\00:53:37.49 calling out sin. And we have to put the two together. 00:53:37.69\00:53:40.60 Some of us are shackled by sin; we're imprisoned. 00:53:40.90\00:53:43.87 And unless we identify the sin in our own lives 00:53:44.18\00:53:47.02 we will never get out. 00:53:47.12\00:53:48.69 Another thing about calling out sin that I think is important 00:53:48.89\00:53:51.86 is that... do you believe that we can have victory over sin? 00:53:52.06\00:53:55.32 Amen. Amen! I'm glad to hear that 00:53:55.62\00:53:58.09 because there are some people who don't believe that. 00:53:58.19\00:54:00.17 Because we don't see it happening a lot we think 00:54:00.57\00:54:02.84 it can't happen... but I believe we can. 00:54:02.94\00:54:05.24 But the way that we get to call- ing out sin is by first what? 00:54:05.64\00:54:10.33 I'm sorry... victory over sin is by first? 00:54:10.63\00:54:13.36 Identifying sin and calling out sin. 00:54:13.56\00:54:16.25 If we don't do that, we won't have victory. 00:54:16.45\00:54:19.11 None of these things can occur without God's power. 00:54:19.41\00:54:23.97 The Holy Spirit has to convict us when our sin is revealed 00:54:24.17\00:54:28.29 and then the Spirit drives us to repentance. 00:54:28.59\00:54:31.61 Sweet repentance. We are told in Steps to Christ 00:54:32.49\00:54:36.30 "We can no more repent without the Spirit of Christ 00:54:36.60\00:54:40.98 to awaken the conscience than we can be pardoned 00:54:41.18\00:54:45.38 without Christ. Every conviction of our sinfulness 00:54:45.58\00:54:50.30 is an evidence that His Spirit is moving upon our hearts. " 00:54:50.60\00:54:55.51 Every time we are convicted of our sin, 00:54:55.91\00:54:58.51 brothers and sisters, it is because the Holy Spirit 00:54:58.62\00:55:01.11 is moving on our hearts. And you don't have to be 00:55:01.21\00:55:03.32 a Christian for that to happen. The Bible tells us 00:55:03.42\00:55:06.54 that it is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance. 00:55:06.84\00:55:10.61 And she says in Steps to Christ that when we contemplate 00:55:10.71\00:55:13.52 what Christ has done for us and we focus on the cross 00:55:13.62\00:55:16.37 and we see and understand God's goodness 00:55:16.67\00:55:18.76 it helps us to see who we are 00:55:19.06\00:55:20.64 and then we start to see our sinfulness 00:55:20.84\00:55:22.58 and we are drawn towards Him. 00:55:22.68\00:55:24.21 But we have to make sure that we get to that point 00:55:24.31\00:55:26.53 where we love each other enough to call out sin 00:55:26.83\00:55:30.39 and then we ourselves are open enough to the Holy Spirit 00:55:30.59\00:55:33.90 to call out sin. You know, there's a song... 00:55:34.10\00:55:36.38 I wanted my girlfriend to sing it with me. I was going to 00:55:36.58\00:55:39.14 surprise you all, but she didn't want to 00:55:39.24\00:55:41.12 come and sing it with me. She's here today. 00:55:41.22\00:55:43.68 Have you heard this song? I Lay My Sins on Jesus. 00:55:43.88\00:55:47.64 Can you all sing it with me? 00:55:49.00\00:55:50.75 I'll say the words: I lay my sins on Jesus... 00:55:51.05\00:55:53.49 I lay my sins on Jesus, 00:55:53.69\00:55:59.20 the spotless Lamb of God... 00:55:59.51\00:56:00.54 the spotless Lamb of God. 00:56:00.72\00:56:05.59 He bears them all and frees them... 00:56:05.69\00:56:07.55 He bears them all and frees them 00:56:07.96\00:56:13.52 from the accursed load... 00:56:13.73\00:56:15.42 from the accursed load. 00:56:15.62\00:56:21.06 Repeat that again: from the accursed load... 00:56:21.16\00:56:22.56 from the accursed load. 00:56:22.96\00:56:27.74 I bring my guilt to Jesus... 00:56:27.84\00:56:30.23 I bring my guilt to Jesus, 00:56:30.63\00:56:36.51 to wash my crimson stains... 00:56:36.71\00:56:38.26 to wash my crimson stains 00:56:38.56\00:56:44.34 white in His blood most precious... 00:56:44.54\00:56:46.02 white in His blood most precious 00:56:46.32\00:56:52.25 till not a spot remains... spain remains... 00:56:52.66\00:56:54.80 till not a stain remains. 00:56:54.93\00:57:00.66 Repeat that with me... Till not a stain... 00:57:00.86\00:57:02.39 till not a stain remains. 00:57:02.70\00:57:08.64 Isn't that beautiful? Amen! 00:57:08.74\00:57:10.45 We can bring our sins, we can bring our guilt to Jesus. 00:57:10.56\00:57:14.68 But the only way we can do it is if we know what we're bringing. 00:57:14.88\00:57:18.42 How many of you all today - 00:57:20.37\00:57:22.25 and the Holy Spirit is moving on hearts, I know that - 00:57:22.45\00:57:25.91 the angels are watching. How many of you today 00:57:26.11\00:57:29.00 want God to help you to deal with sin in your own life? 00:57:29.21\00:57:32.23 See if you're bold enough? 00:57:32.46\00:57:33.75 I know I do. I have some things in my life 00:57:33.95\00:57:36.90 that I want to be able to deal with. 00:57:37.10\00:57:39.07 And I don't want to be too offended if someone 00:57:39.18\00:57:42.33 points it out. I don't want to be like Adam 00:57:42.44\00:57:46.17 blaming Eve and then Eve blaming the serpent 00:57:46.20\00:57:49.30 when their sins were pointed out. 00:57:49.60\00:57:51.58 I want to be open with the Lord because I don't want a spot 00:57:51.88\00:57:54.93 of sin to remain. Amen. 00:57:55.03\00:57:56.85 And I pray that that is the same with you. 00:57:57.05\00:57:58.83 Do you all still love me? Yes! 00:57:58.93\00:58:01.17
