that when Adam and Eve sinned

sinned there was a Savior.

Jesus Christ is the Lamb of
God slain from the foundation

of the world. So as
soon as there was a sinner

God's grace was
extended, His mercy was extended

to Adam and Eve
and to the human race.

Because looking forward to
the Lamb that would be slain,

Jesus Christ, it was said that
He was slain from the foundation

have to ask ourselves

there. You see, the kingdom

of grace was instituted
because grace and mercy

were extended to Adam and Eve.

But when Jesus says: "Repent
ye for the kingdom of heaven

the time is fulfilled"

He's referring to a
prophecy in the book of Daniel.

We're going to
look at that in a moment

we have to look at today.

Now let's look at verse 16.

"Let us therefore come
boldly... " That means we're

confident... "unto
the throne of grace

that we may obtain mercy and
find grace in time of need. "

So it says here that we
should come with confidence -

"boldly" the King James uses -

before the throne of grace.

If there is a throne of grace,

there must be a
kingdom of grace.

So the kingdom of
grace that was instituted in

the foundation of the world

was not established until
Jesus Christ dies on the cross.

Because when you look
at when Adam and Eve sinned

their mercy that they received

was looking forward to the
sacrifice that would be made

on their behalf. So a
kingdom of grace was instituted

but was established when
Jesus Christ dies on the cross

"Repent ye because the time

is fulfilled" you see
God had been working for

hundreds and thousands of
years with the Jewish people

preparing them to do a
special work in all the world

to bring the
everlasting gospel to the world.

It was through them.
They were to be the vehicle
00:13:14.16\00:13:16.38
to bring the
everlasting gospel to the world.

So God worked with them

for hundreds and a
few thousand years.

Eventually because of their sin,

their rebellion, time
was allotted for them to get

things right.

But first let us
look at a scripture

In Galatians chapter 4 we are
going to read verses 4 and 5.

"But when the
fullness of time was come

"to redeem them

that we might receive
the adoption of sons. "

God wants to adopt
each and every one of us.

We have a choice to make.

The Bible says that
"when the fullness of time"

so that means that
God has a time table.

God has a heavenly clock.

And this clock... when the
time came His Son was sent.

But He told God's
children that this would happen.

He gave them a prophecy
by which they were to guide

themselves to know
when that time was coming.

And this is why we have
to go to the book of Daniel.

This... When Jesus
says "the time is fulfilled;

the kingdom of God is at hand"
He's talking about establishing

the kingdom of grace that
was instituted at creation

but He's talking also
about the time was fulfilled

that you must repent before
your time of mercy is closed
00:15:06.27\00:15:11.93
as far as being the people to
bring the gospel to the world,

the everlasting
gospel to the world.

And so let us turn in your
Bibles to the book of Daniel

chapter 9. In the
book of Daniel chapter 9.

If you look at the book of
Daniel and you begin in verse 1,

we're not going to start
there, you will notice that

Daniel is praying. The
people of Israel were in Babylon
00:15:34.00\00:15:37.99
and he knew that
they were placed there
00:15:38.09\00:15:40.50
because of their sins.
00:15:40.60\00:15:41.98
You should read
that prayer of Daniel.
00:15:42.18\00:15:44.10
He identified himself with
the sins of the people of Israel
00:15:44.50\00:15:48.51
even though there are no sins
recorded in the book of Daniel
00:15:48.81\00:15:53.41
that he committed.
00:15:53.61\00:15:54.71
But the Bible says
that "all have sinned
00:15:54.91\00:15:57.11
and have come short
of the glory of God. "
00:15:57.31\00:15:59.19
But we see here that
Daniel has been praying.
00:16:00.17\00:16:03.57
Tears were
flowing from his face.
00:16:03.87\00:16:05.84
He knew - he was
reading the book of Jeremiah -
00:16:05.87\00:16:08.10
he knew that the time was coming
00:16:08.30\00:16:09.94
for the deliverance
of the people of Israel
00:16:10.14\00:16:12.39
and he was asking the
Lord for understanding.
00:16:12.69\00:16:14.90
Furthermore, he was
also pleading with the Lord
00:16:15.20\00:16:18.03
to understand the prophecy:
the vision he was given
00:16:18.13\00:16:21.54
in Daniel chapter 8
00:16:21.74\00:16:23.31
specifically verses 13 and 14
00:16:23.51\00:16:26.29
which we hope to
look at near the end.

Because it says
there: "Unto 2,300 years
00:16:30.09\00:16:33.72
then shall the
sanctuary be cleansed. "

But today we're going to
focus on Daniel chapter 9

beginning in verse 24.

prophecy brought to Daniel

seeking for understanding.

And God sent an angel
to help him understand.

He actually came to bring him
more detail about the prophecy

So he was going to be a symbol
of what was going to happen

to Israel and Judah.

And then the verse
finishes with these words:

thee each day for a year. "

Each day for a
year. So in Bible prophecy

prophecy of Daniel chapter 9

we have to ask ourselves

we'll see that on the screen

So the people of
Israel had 490 years

through His Son Jesus Christ.

So in the prophecy - when
you look at Daniel chapter 9-

you will notice
that verse 24 says that

"they must make an end of sin. "

In other words,
stop their rebellion.

It says: "finish transgression
and make an end of sins. "

They had 490 years to
accept God's message and repent

and believe the gospel

and to accept God's
invitation to continue to be

the people - the instrument
- that He would use to bring

the gospel to all the world.

At that point they had
been keeping it to themselves...

even though it seems to
appear that they would send out

missionaries from time to time.
