A careful examination
of the book of Daniel

composed of two books.

You know, sometimes the
book of Daniel has been divided

into the historical section
and the prophetic section.

The problem with that way
of dividing the book of Daniel

is that in the
historical section
00:10:36.58\00:10:39.11
is Daniel 2 which is a prophecy.
00:10:39.31\00:10:42.18
And so it doesn't
exactly fit that way.
00:10:43.45\00:10:46.32
Others have spoken of four
prophetic outlines in Daniel.
00:10:47.28\00:10:50.76
Daniel 2, Daniel 7, Daniel
8 and 9, Daniel 11 and 12.

But that also leaves many
chapters that are not included

in the structure.

It's far better for us
to take a look at how God

had Daniel structure this book.

The book of Daniel - as
I mentioned - is actually

one book that is
composed of two books.

The two books are
Daniel 1 through 7

and the second book
is Daniel 8 through 12.

The first seven
chapters are very closely linked

and the last chapters

are also very closely linked.

They have a central theme.

mention some things about

deals with four beasts.

They're closely
intertwined and related.

king Belshazzar and
the kingdom of Babylon.

And so Daniel 2

which is the introduction
are very closely intertwined

the Roman Empire.

The Roman Empire is
divided into ten kingdoms.

Then among those ten
kingdoms rises the little horn.

represents the Roman Catholic

papacy rules for 1,260 years

Now I want you to notice
the event that takes place

Where was the Ancient of Days?

In heaven. We pray: "Our
Father which art in heaven. "

He was seated on His throne
in heaven to begin the judgment.

And so clearly here it
says that the Son of Man

comes to the Ancient of Days
and then it continues saying:

the angels... "brought Him

And then verse 14 tells us

what the conclusion
of the whole matter is:

Now if you read this
passage carefully you discover

composed of two stages.

takes place in heaven
