Let me define that for you.

Futurism is a
Christian eschatolgical -

eschatological: that
means end-time events -

an end-time events view
that interprets the book of

Revelation and Daniel as
future events in human history.
00:13:22.15\00:13:26.17
It is primarily taking these
prophecies and putting them
00:13:27.26\00:13:30.58
into the future...
especially Revelation
00:13:30.68\00:13:32.27
from chapter 4 onward.
00:13:32.38\00:13:34.14
All that is going to take
place some time in the future
00:13:34.34\00:13:36.65
after the church is
raptured out of this earth
00:13:36.86\00:13:40.05
and the antichrist is set
up. That is the primary focus

of futurism. What it
entails - basically and simply -

is that there is no prophetic
message, no prophetic word

for God's church for His people

There's a huge gap there that

Now preterism... Preterism
is pretty much the opposite.

Preterism is a
Christian eschatological view

that interprets the prophecies
of the Bible - especially

Daniel and Revelation -
as events that have already

first century AD.

By 100 AD it's all over.

All of these
prophecies have been fulfilled.

Nero was the
beast; he had the mark.

All of that has
already taken place.

Now it holds - even though
it is exactly the opposite

God has given to His church

There's no prophetic message...
it's all been fulfilled.

approaches to Bible prophecy

have Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.

God warned them through Moses
"I'm going to do a new thing

here. The earth is
going to be opened up. "

You go all the way
through the Old Testament.

You've got Jonah
being sent to Nineveh.

Over and over again God
always sends His prophets,

His messengers. Isaiah,
Jeremiah: there's going to be

captivity. The army from
the north is going to come.

Babylon is going to come like
a lion and he's going to ravage.

God has always been
faithful to warn His people

through Bible prophecy.

Satan, on the other hand,
takes a different approach.

When he is allowed to work
he strikes without warning.

He comes at a time when
you're the most concerned,

and he takes
everything he can take.

that would be beautiful.

Jesus Christ - comes to Daniel.

That's where Daniel leaves off.
That's the end of his ministry

the end of his
prophetic ministry.

John picks up
where Daniel left off.

John sees Jesus right
