it needs to be very clear.

Because we are living in
the days of the Latter Rain.

And what's exciting about
that is Jesus is soon to come.

And we are a people that
must get ready and do our part

to get others ready
for the coming of the Lord.

Let me begin by giving you a
totally different perspective

of the text we just read.

"But as the days of Noah were

coming of the Son of Man be. "

Had they understood the power
of the rain that was coming

the preparation would
have been quite different.

It had never rained
before that day came.

There were no
clouds to even suggest

that rain was on its
way. As a matter of fact,

rain was not even a word
used during the days of Noah.

There were no
umbrellas... no need of them.

The Lord flourished
the earth in ways that were

quite different than today.

So if some said
that the rain was coming,

it sounded
completely odd and out of sorts.

And so when Noah took up
the task to preach that rain

was coming, they did
not understand the power

of the rain that was to come.

In the very same way in our day

if we would only understand the
power of the rain that IS coming

I believe the preparation
will be quite different.

I believe one of the reasons
why the church is not preparing

the way it is; is because
"As it was in the days of Noah

so also will it be in the days

of the coming of
the Son of Man. "

Jesus is getting ready to come,

and we know the world is not
going to be destroyed by a flood

but God has promised to
pour out the rain again.

And if we understand
as they did not understand

in the days of Noah, had
they understood that the world

was going to be
swept away by a flood

they would have responded
differently to the messages.

Had they understood that every-
thing they put their faith in

was going to be
destroyed by the rain

they would have
made different choices.

In the same way,
brothers and sisters,

let's not take for granted
that the end is going to come

in a whimper. It
is going to come in a

grand and glorious
way. Can you say Amen?

It's going to come in a
way more predominantly powerful

than it was in the days of Noah.

The rain that came then
destroyed, but God is going to

pour out a rain today...
God is going to pour out a rain

just before He comes that is not
for the purpose of destruction

but for the
purpose of salvation.

But had they understood
the power of the rain that was

coming, their preparation
would have been quite different.

We need to understand the power
of the rain that is coming.

I took the time to peruse the
Internet, and I like to do that

when it comes to
very important statistics.

I'm a statistic man.
00:08:38.00\00:08:39.66
And I came to discover
that rain is more powerful
00:08:40.86\00:08:43.10
than we sometimes
even lead on for it to be.
00:08:43.30\00:08:45.50
You know, when we have a lot
of rain, the last thing you want
00:08:45.80\00:08:48.16
to see is more rain.
00:08:48.36\00:08:49.83
I discovered just in
the country of China alone -
00:08:50.16\00:08:53.86
and this is not talking
about all of their rainfall -
00:08:54.16\00:08:57.43
but just in the country of China
00:08:57.63\00:08:59.33
in seven significant
events they have lost by rain,
00:08:59.53\00:09:04.56
more people have been
killed in the country of China
00:09:04.76\00:09:07.80
by rain than any
other country on the earth.
00:09:08.00\00:09:10.93
Can you fathom losing 7
and a half million people
00:09:11.23\00:09:14.70
in your country to rain?

Just China!

And I would say, had they
understood the power of the rain

they would have prepared
quite differently for the rain

that was coming.

In one incident alone, one to
three and a half million people

were destroyed -
killed, wiped out of existence -
00:09:29.40\00:09:32.03
just by rain.

And the Lord is saying
to us in the last days:
00:09:34.23\00:09:35.86
He is going to send a rain.
00:09:35.86\00:09:36.93
He is going to send a rain
not to destroy but to save.

The flood - the most powerful
of all the rains that we've
00:09:41.96\00:09:45.40
heard of. But it's
also the most famous flood
00:09:45.60\00:09:47.66
that we've ever
heard of. Genesis chapter 7
00:09:47.90\00:09:49.86
has a few lines
about this great flood
00:09:50.46\00:09:53.70
that we look back on.
00:09:53.90\00:09:55.40
The Lord gave Noah a job.
00:09:55.70\00:09:57.60
He said: "Preach
that the rain is coming. "
00:09:57.80\00:10:00.40
And sometimes I feel like Noah
00:10:00.60\00:10:02.46
because I'm preaching
today that the rain is coming.
00:10:02.76\00:10:05.30
And people sometimes
misunderstand that, because
00:10:05.50\00:10:07.80
we know the world is
going to be destroyed by fire
00:10:07.80\00:10:09.70
the second time.
00:10:09.70\00:10:10.76
But the rain that's coming this
time is going to be glorious.

It's going to ripen the harvest
00:10:16.16\00:10:17.70
in a way that it's
never been ripened before.

And I've... I've
received some encouragement.

See, last time these great rains
fell only 8 people were saved.

But God has given me courage
that a number which no man

can number is going to
be saved. What do you say?

Amen! He's built a
larger vessel this time!

Bigger than the last
ship built by Royal Caribbean.

They just released a
new one coming out here.

Matter of fact,
it's coming out now

in just a few months
called the Oasis of the Seas.

More than 6,000
passengers on that ship!

God can build ships
bigger than Royal Caribbean...

On this next ship there's going
to be a number which no man

can number of every
nation, every kindred,

every tongue, and every people.

When God poured out the
rain last time the Bible says

the Lord told Noah to preach:
"I will cause rain to fall
00:11:13.70\00:11:17.23
on the earth 40
days and 40 nights.
00:11:17.43\00:11:19.53
It will destroy from
the face of the earth
00:11:19.83\00:11:21.96
every living thing
that I have made. "
00:11:22.16\00:11:24.60
And the record is clear.
00:11:24.90\00:11:26.26
Rain was on the earth
40 days and 40 nights.
00:11:26.46\00:11:29.50
But there's something about
the rain that fell in Noah's day
00:11:29.80\00:11:32.70
that exposes something
far greater than the magnitude
00:11:32.90\00:11:36.30
of man's wickedness.
And the rain then revealed
00:11:36.30\00:11:40.63
the tremendous power of God.
00:11:40.86\00:11:43.56
Think about that for a moment.
00:11:43.86\00:11:45.90
Go with me to
Matthew chapter 24 again
00:11:46.20\00:11:48.80
and notice verses 38 and 39:
00:11:49.10\00:11:51.13
the tremendous power of God.
00:11:51.43\00:11:54.06
"For as in the
days before the flood
00:11:54.36\00:11:58.06
they were" doing what, church?
00:11:58.26\00:12:00.33
"eating" and what
else? "drinking. "
00:12:00.66\00:12:03.13
"Marrying and
giving in marriage. " Stop!
00:12:03.33\00:12:07.43
God is about to
pour out His Latter Rain,
00:12:07.73\00:12:10.20
but so many of us are
busy eating and drinking.

"Marrying and giving in
marriage. " Celebration.

And God is looking for
someone waiting and expecting

and praying for the
infilling of His Holy Spirit.

"As it was in
the days of Noah. "

Before the flood came then,
00:12:26.30\00:12:27.96
people were caught
up in day by day life.

I would suggest to you today:
the church needs to wake up

because so many of the
churches today are becoming
00:12:33.56\00:12:36.06
an entertainment center...
00:12:36.26\00:12:37.83
a center where the people come
to have things done for them.
00:12:38.13\00:12:40.50
But God wants to do
more than giving you money
00:12:40.70\00:12:42.96
for your next bill.
00:12:43.20\00:12:44.26
He wants to give you
power to turn your life on
00:12:44.46\00:12:47.10
for the glory of God.

And so we've come to
this place where people come:

what can you do for me?
But I remember the words of
00:12:51.73\00:12:54.00
the now
deceased John F. Kennedy.
00:12:54.00\00:12:55.96
He said: "Ask not what
your country can do for you
00:12:55.96\00:12:59.63
but what you can
do for your country. "
00:12:59.83\00:13:01.40
Ask not what the
church can do for you
00:13:01.60\00:13:04.06
but what you can do
for the church! Amen.

God has called
us not to membership
00:13:06.60\00:13:09.33
but to be
laborers together with God.

And so a few want to be
members rather than laborers

together with God.

We want to be on the rolls
rather than on the battlefield.

We want to be in the church

rather than in
the harvest field.

"As it was in
the days of Noah... "

They were "eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage

until the day that
Noah entered the ark. "

There's going to be an ark,

and before we enter
that ark there's going to be

a declaration: "He that is
unjust, let him be... " What?

"Unjust still. "

"He that is righteous,
let him be righteous still. "

When the ark's doors are closed,

then the rain is over.

Unlike in Noah's day, when
the ark's doors were closed

the rain began.

This time when the ark's
doors close, the rain is over.

And so it says: "They did
not know until the flood came

and took them all
away. " God wants a flood

today to come and take
us away from the humdrum

so-called spiritual
activity of our lives

and take us away
into the glorious field

where the harvest is
ripe but the laborers are few.

He wants the rains to come.

There's another flood coming,
and this time as it was in the
00:14:26.26\00:14:29.86
days of Noah, it's going
to cover the earth again.

Listen to the words of
the apostle Paul as he writes.

In the book of Acts chapter
2 verse 17 we read these words:

"And it shall come to
pass in the last days"

What days did I say?
00:14:43.23\00:14:44.30
"that the Lord
said: 'I will pour out' "
00:14:44.50\00:14:49.13
There are those flood
words. I will do what, friend?
00:14:49.43\00:14:52.26
"Pour out My
Spirit on all flesh. "
00:14:52.56\00:14:56.50
The day is coming
when the windows of heaven

will be opened again.
Can you say Amen to that?

"The days are coming when
the clouds of heaven will gather

in abundance.
The moment is nearing

harvest will be gathered. "

He wanted those blessings today.

I don't want to wait
till some future date.

I want the power of God
to reside in my life today.

for His glory every day.

about winning souls to Christ

the days of Elijah,

before the rains even

"There is a sound

If you've been looking
at the climate of our world,

there's a sound
of abundance of rain.

The world is falling apart,

but there is a sound
of abundance of rain.

The economy is unstable,
but God is still saying

the blessing is there.

There is a sound
of abundance of rain.

Spiritual wickedness
is now in high places

but God is saying there's

that we can still trust,
