00:24 Welcome to 3ABN's Fall camp meeting,
00:27 Homecoming 2010, featuring inspired 00:31 messages from your 3ABN Family, 00:35 along with uplifting Christian music, 00:37 all to prepare your heart for 00:39 the coming of the Lord. 00:46 Well, good evening and welcome to 00:48 Thompsonville, Illinois. The home of Three Angels 00:52 Broadcasting Network and to this fall camp 00:55 meeting and we have been looking forward 00:58 with real expectation for this week haven't we? 01:01 Well, we certainly have. This is our homecoming 01:04 weekend and this is the time when we get 01:06 together and it's the warm time, isn't it Danny? 01:10 That's right. The time when we 01:11 all get to know each other better and learn 01:14 from each other and just renew our friendships 01:17 and relationships and we want to welcome 01:19 everyone of you, it's a joy to have 01:21 you here and we want to welcome all of you that 01:23 are joining us on 3ABN television as well 01:26 as 3ABN radio. We welcome you 01:29 from around the world. Amen. 01:31 We're having the Fall camp meeting where 01:33 originally we only had one a year but you all 01:36 said why can't we come back with, 01:38 we enjoy the spring so much why can't we 01:41 do the fall? So we said well 01:42 kids are in school, not as many 01:44 people can attend, but somebody who is 01:46 wise enough say, well what about the 01:47 people around the world, they still can watch, 01:50 so we can be there with you. 01:51 So we said, yeah we will do. 01:52 As Molly said, its kind of more of a 01:54 down home more relaxed spring camp meeting, 01:57 how many were here at spring camp meeting? 01:59 Okay, a lot of folk here was there, 02:01 it was pretty crowded and we were really running 02:04 back and forth, so we're more relaxed, 02:05 got time that we can spend with people getting 02:07 to know you all better. Those of you at home as 02:10 always we are so thankful that you 02:11 are joining us, allowing us to come 02:13 into your home as you do each and every day and 02:15 thank you for your love, your prayers and 02:16 financial support of 3ABN as we continue to 02:21 take this gospel, the kingdom into 02:23 all the world. We know, 02:24 we couldn't do it without this folk absolutely, 02:27 so my dad used to say some of us here, 02:31 he would say son, I'm so poor that I 02:32 couldn't feed a sick chicken, 02:34 so we couldn't do it on our own it takes all of 02:37 you around the world. Now, chickens don't eat 02:38 much if any of you know anything about chickens 02:40 but a sick one would eat even less, 02:42 but my dad said he didn't have enough money 02:43 to feed a sick one, so those of us here 02:46 at 3ABN that's on the frontlines put all the 02:49 money together and we probably really couldn't 02:52 put out one day of programming. 02:53 No, we couldn't. But, thank you all 02:55 of you here and all of you around the world 02:57 for your support that make this a reality. 02:59 You know Danny, a while back the 03:02 coffers were low, I know you can, can, 03:05 can any of you relate with that, 03:07 the coffers were low and it was Brian Hamilton, 03:11 Jim and myself we were in Jim's office and we 03:13 were praying and the realization came 03:16 to us if we, everyone of us liquidated 03:19 everyone of our assets, so three of us together 03:21 may be able to keep the ministry going 03:23 a day or two, so we knew that our 03:25 confidence had to be in God and I want you 03:27 to know God is our source and he's our supplier 03:30 and he provides all of our needs according to 03:32 his righteous and glory through Christ Jesus, 03:34 can we praise God for that. Amen, Amen. 03:36 And its been miraculous, that's right, 03:38 the way this fall has continued and day by day 03:43 we have been totally just in the hands of Lord 03:46 saying we go forward, Lord there are so many 03:50 great opportunities to take advantage of and 03:54 everyday he's made that oil to be there, 03:57 so that it has been sure. It's a faith ministry 04:01 and it really is that people think a ministry 04:04 that you know is reaching people 04:06 around the world, we're told we are 04:08 the second largest owner of TV stations in 04:10 America and all the radio network of a 100 04:12 and some odd channels, not only here but 04:14 around the world you would think well you have 04:16 a lot of money in the bank, 04:17 you guys, we don't. We start every month 04:20 without knowing there's not enough money there 04:22 to go forward yet, somehow God has 04:25 provided in this November and just 6 04:27 weeks or so what's gonna be 26 years, yeah, 04:30 since the idea to build this television station 04:32 to reach the world, so we have no doubt 04:34 that God is in it and that God blesses us 04:37 in spite of us. Amen. And so again thank 04:39 you all of you for your prayers and your 04:42 support of this ministry. And we're so glad 04:43 that you are here and if you are watching 04:45 and you're within driving distance, 04:47 you like to join us for this weekend I 04:49 know that many, many more are gonna 04:51 be here this weekend and we're gonna have 04:54 a tremendous time of blessing, 04:57 spiritual blessing together, 04:59 why don't we have just a little word of 05:01 prayer before we continue. 05:03 Father in heaven, we just thank you 05:05 today that we can come to you in the name of 05:08 Jesus Christ our Lord. Father, 05:10 I thank you for this ministry, 05:13 I thank you for the way you have used it 05:16 to touch lives all around the world that we hear 05:19 from this people on a daily basis, 05:22 miracles that have taken place over and over, 05:26 people receiving the channel, 05:29 getting the television picture they don't even 05:31 know how they're getting it. 05:33 Miracles that take place, we thank you for 05:36 it Lord, it's reassuring to us. 05:39 We pray that you will help us to be every bit 05:43 as dedicated to you and to declaring your gospel 05:48 around the world as when this ministry began 05:51 26 years ago. We thank you Father 05:55 for his hearing us in Jesus wonderful and 05:58 powerful and his loving name. Amen. Amen. 06:02 Twenty, about 25 years ago literally this 06:06 month September, October we were 06:09 building a road and at the up link site which is, 06:12 have any of you been to the up link site, 06:14 the original facility, yeah, you need to go, 06:17 it's still, still there, still standing and which 06:20 we're happy about, still using it. 06:22 For sure Jay's over there with radio and 06:24 they do a lot of our Latino programming 06:27 from their studios, but it's been about 06:29 25 years ago, when we were 06:30 actually building the roads and putting up a 06:33 shell of a building and once we saw how big 06:36 this building was you know, 06:37 you put it out on the ground and didn't 06:39 seem all so big but when you start getting the 06:41 walls up and it's two storey and it was 06:44 a big building, we used to go 06:46 up because it suddenly hit us, 06:47 here we are saying that we are gonna build 06:49 a television network to reach the world 06:52 but we don't have any money, 06:53 we're carpenters and we're used to 06:55 shelling up buildings, we call it shelling when 06:57 we get the windows and the doors and you 07:00 know the roof on, and all of that. 07:02 But where is the money gonna come from 07:04 and how are, is this all gonna happen? 07:07 Every Sabbath when we were home, 07:08 we travel some, but every Sabbath 07:10 when we were at home we would get together 07:12 with our families, people from the 07:13 local church, we would join hands 07:15 together because people that visited say it over 07:19 and over and over. I feel like we're standing 07:21 on Holy Ground. And so when we 07:24 thought of a theme song and this is nearly 07:26 our anniversary time for 26 years, 07:29 I asked CA yesterday, we had something else 07:32 and I said can we just, why don't we just 07:34 sing Holy Ground, use that as our theme song 07:36 because I still believe that this is 07:39 God's Holy Ground. Amen. And if you agree with 07:42 that with us, we want you to sing 07:43 this chorus as we have Lisa here and she's 07:46 gonna be singing Holy Ground. 07:47 John and C.A, can you come up 07:49 and help us here. If you know it, 07:51 we want you to sing it Holy Ground. 07:55 We're just gonna do the chorus. 07:59 We are standing On Holy ground 08:10 And I know that there Are angels all around 08:22 Let us praise Jesus now We are standing 08:38 In His presence On Holy ground. 08:43 That's so good, let's do it again. 08:46 We are standing On Holy ground 08:58 And I know that there Are angels all around 09:10 Let us praise Jesus now We are standing 09:26 In His presence On Holy ground. 09:34 Get me an E-flat Lisa, we want to if you 09:36 know this, sing it with us, 09:38 I'm sorry to surprise all of you but. 09:40 Thank you Lord for saving my soul 09:49 Thank you Lord for making me whole 09:58 Thank you Lord forgiving to me 10:07 Thy great salvation so rich and free 10:15 Oh How I love Jesus I know how I love Jesus 10:34 How I love Jesus Because he first loved me 10:50 So I thank you Lord for saving my soul 11:00 Thank you Lord for making me whole 11:09 Thank you Lord for giving to me 11:18 Thy great salvation so rich and free 11:26 Aren't you glad, he touched you tonight? 11:28 He touched me Oh! He touched me 11:37 I know the joy that was my soul 11:47 Something happened and now I know 11:55 He touched me and made me 12:01 We said, it's a relax meeting, 12:02 if Jesus has touched you, why don't you stand on 12:05 your feet and show him you love him? 12:06 And sing it again He touched me 12:10 Oh! He touched me I know the joy that was my soul 12:25 Something happened and now I know 12:34 He touched me and made me whole 12:42 And all how I love Jesus Oh How I love Jesus 12:59 Oh How I love Jesus Because he first loved me 13:14 I don't know if you've heard this verse 13:16 He loved me when I was so lonesome 13:25 He loved me when I was so blue 13:33 He loved me when no one could help me 13:41 When no one knew just what to do 13:48 And Oh! How I love Jesus And Oh! How I love Jesus 14:06 And Oh! How I love Jesus 14:14 Because He first loved me 14:23 And all the people said, amen. 14:25 You can be seated, alright, thank you. 14:28 I'd like to introduce my daughter Melody, 14:31 come up here Melody Dawn. Melody is half the 14:34 woman she used to be they say. 14:38 Everybody's been asking so okay, 14:40 how'd you do it? Weight Watchers Online. 14:43 Weight Watchers Online, are they paying you 14:44 to say this? No, I wish. 14:46 No, you might as well wish she's saying this, 14:48 so she doesn't have to say it a hundred or 14:49 two hundred times as you all come up and say, 14:52 how did you it. It takes an awful lot, 14:55 you know, I don't think I 14:58 have that Melody, what do you call that, 15:00 to stick to something like that, perseverance, 15:03 you know strength, all of those things 15:05 I'm really proud of you not because of that 15:07 I'm proud of you because as my daughter you 15:09 love Jesus. You've given us 15:11 a wonderful family, wonderful grand kids 15:13 and we could talk about those forever, 15:15 and we get to in heaven sometime. 15:17 But if we start in, then they all wanna talk 15:19 about their grand kids and stuff, 15:21 you know what I'm saying, so we gotta, 15:22 we gotta just brush over that a little bit. 15:24 How many of you got grand kids, 15:26 kids or grand kids? There ain't nothing 15:27 like them right? And so I'm so 15:29 thankful for Melody and for your love for Jesus 15:32 and you got a brand new CD out that's supposed 15:35 to be out, is it gonna be 15:36 here tomorrow, supposed to be 15:37 here tomorrow. Tomorrow, 15:38 what's some of the songs and that's on there. 15:41 It's called Count it as Joy, 15:43 that's one of them, I'm getting to do one of 15:45 them that I wrote count it as joy and 15:47 also wrote this one, we have this hope. 15:50 I did, He'll find a way, okay, 15:53 change me now, yeah. A number of songs, 15:55 so they'll be here tomorrow, 15:56 so during non-Sabbath hours, 15:58 we all wanna see Melody's new product, 16:02 it'll be out here before you along with the other 16:04 folks out there. So tonight the song you're 16:06 getting ready to sing, you all wrote it. 16:08 Yes. Okay. Alright thank you honey. 16:26 They say what doesn't kill us makes us strong 16:32 And I've heard it's always darkest 16:40 before the Dawn But all that know is that 16:42 God's promise says the truth 16:48 And He only wants what's best for you 16:54 We have this hope that all hurting will be gone 17:01 We have this hope that all 17:04 tears will be left behind 17:09 I know down here life is hard 17:13 And the world is so one kind 17:17 But hold on because we have this hope 17:23 We have this hope 17:28 Every one of us has hard aches and trials 17:35 Just remember we are only here for assured one 17:43 Sometimes I feel I have had more than my share 17:50 But He won't give us more than we can bear 17:56 We have this hope that all hurting will be gone 18:03 We have this hope that 18:06 all tears will be left behind 18:12 I know down here life is hard 18:16 And the world is so one kind 18:19 But hold on because we have this hope 18:26 And this hope for us is Jesus 18:39 So hold on because we have this hope. 19:00 Alright. I'm supposed to introduce my 19:03 Pastor John Lomacang. I thought, 19:06 now what am I gonna say, I don't talk. 19:08 My sister told me to introduce you as the 19:11 man whose shoes I could never fill. 19:18 Well I guess, if you had feet 19:21 as large as mine I really be concerned. Yeah. 19:23 So that's a good one. I'd be tripping. Okay. 19:25 Yes, this is my Pastor, a wonderful speaker, 19:28 wonderful singer, I appreciate it so much, 19:30 I just want you to know that. Okay. 19:31 Thank you Melody. Well Melody for a 19:34 person who doesn't speak when she does, 19:36 it comes from her heart and I really appreciate 19:37 that so much. You know when you 19:39 think about what to sing when you have a 19:41 larger up to 12 songs I think that a theme 19:43 connects them together. Just also to answer 19:46 many of the questions that will be answered after 19:48 the program is done tonight. 19:50 My wife is not here with me tonight, 19:51 she is at home recovering, she was in the 19:54 hospital for four days wondering what exactly 19:57 was wrong with her and the doctors are still 19:59 checking so I know she's watching, 20:01 I want you all to continue praying for her, 20:04 honey, I love you, and we're praying for you. 20:06 But you know when I think about what happened 20:07 this September just a year ago, 20:11 last fall camp meeting we were hit 20:14 with illness again. I was injured, 20:17 almost lost my voice permanently and 20:19 the doctor told me had I been hit a little higher 20:21 I would never sing again. And I'm still healing, 20:24 have got six more months to go but 20:26 I want to say praise the Lord, 20:28 God works faster than man does, 20:30 can you say amen, amen. So I'm believing the Lord 20:32 for my wife's healing, a complete healing as 20:35 she recovers continue to keep her in prayer. 20:37 And this song I think puts it together. 20:40 When you think about the injuries, 20:41 Jim, my wife and many of us who are struggling 20:44 with injuries in our life that could have 20:46 been avoided, this song puts it together 20:48 in a wonderful way. Lord, whatever the case, 20:52 heal us and make us whiter than snow. 21:03 Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow 21:09 Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. 21:22 Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole; 21:29 I want Thee forever to live in my soul. 21:38 Break down every idol, cast out every foe 21:46 Now wash me and I will be whiter than snow. 21:55 Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow 22:01 Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. 22:14 Lord Jesus, look down from 22:18 thy throne in the skies 22:21 And help me to make a complete sacrifice. 22:30 I will give up myself and whatever I know 22:38 Just wash me and I will be whiter than snow. 22:49 Lord Jesus, for this I most humbly entreat; 22:57 I wait, blessed Lord, at Thy crucified feet. 23:04 By faith, for my cleansing I see they blood flow 23:13 Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. 23:24 Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow 23:31 Now wash me and I will be whiter than snow. 23:39 Yes, whiter than snow Now wash me and I 23:45 will be whiter than snow. Amen. 24:13 You know the Shelton family is quite 24:16 a large family. I don't know sometimes 24:18 I'm driving through West Frankfort and I 24:21 meet someone that claims to be a part of 24:22 the Shelton Family, I'm not exactly 24:24 sure about it, but then later on 24:26 Danny tells me yeah we were related. 24:28 But if you have been here at all through 24:30 the years, there's a wonderful in, 24:33 I call this a tit for tat kind of relationship of 24:37 Danny and Tammy. Tammy jokes on Danny 24:41 and Danny jokes on Tammy and I never forget 24:45 this story when Danny tells us about how when 24:47 Tammy was young and mom and dad would go out, 24:49 and they would say now watch over your sister. 24:53 And when they'd come back home, 24:55 she always knew how to get them in trouble. 24:57 She would always say, they're aggravating me. 25:00 And so even to this very day Danny says he's 25:03 the youngest one, Tammy says she is 25:04 the youngest one, but one thing I know, 25:06 no matter their age Tammy really knows 25:09 how to minister. And so tonight she 25:11 is gonna sing for the reason of our hope, 25:14 had it not been for what Jesus had done, 25:17 that tit for tatting would have been gone and we 25:19 would all have been brought together by his 25:21 great love for us. So Tammy tonight, 25:23 why don't you just bless us with this 25:25 wonderful song. Thank you John. 25:33 Just suppose God searched through heaven 25:44 And couldn't find one willing to be 25:56 The supreme sacrifice that was needed 26:07 That would buy eternal life for you and me 26:18 Had it not been for a place called Mt. Calvary 26:29 Had it not been for the old rugged cross 26:41 Had it not been for a man called Jesus 26:52 Then forever my soul would be lost 27:04 I'm so glad He was willing 27:08 to drink his bitter cup 27:14 Although he prayed, Father let this pass from me 27:26 And I'm so glad he didn't call heaven's angels 27:37 From his hands bore the nails that torment me 27:46 Oh! Had it not been for a 27:52 place called Mt. Calvary 27:59 Had it not been for the old rugged cross 28:11 Had it not been for a man called Jesus 28:22 Then forever my soul would be lost 28:34 Then forever my soul would be lost. Amen. 29:03 It's my job to introduce to you C.A Murray, 29:06 and when I was told this I laughed because I 29:08 was thinking of all the bad things that I could 29:10 think of to tell you about him, 29:12 but then I couldn't really think of anything 29:14 too bad, he's a pretty decent 29:17 guy all the way around. No, he's a wonderful guy 29:21 and a good friend and a wonderful pastor 29:23 and I hope you're blessed now by his song. 29:28 Thank you Tammy. I thought this is gonna 29:30 be a roast for a second, I got a little worried. 29:34 I should like to proffer to you now a 29:37 prescription for depression. 29:40 It's a very simple prescription, 29:42 take two heaping tablespoons of Jesus. 29:47 And whenever you lift up Jesus, 29:51 Jesus will lift you up. Regardless of the 29:54 time the place or the situation, 29:56 you're feeling a little down, 29:58 just take a little Jesus I guarantee you, 30:00 you lift up the name of Jesus 30:02 and Jesus will lift you up. 30:22 He lifts my burdens whenever I'm down 30:31 He gives me joy when I'm wearing a frown 30:40 He is my hope in the midst of despair 30:49 And He, He is my comfort For he's always there 31:05 So I sing not because I feel like singing 31:13 And I praise him though the end I may not see 31:24 For whenever I lift the name of Jesus 31:31 Jesus reaches down and He lifts me 31:47 He is the music that makes my heart glad 31:57 He whispers peace whenever I'm sad 32:06 He is the sunshine that brightens my day 32:14 And He, He is the light house to show me the way 32:25 So I sing not because I feel like singing 32:34 And I praise him though the end I may not see 32:45 For whenever I lift the name of Jesus 32:52 Jesus reaches down and He lifts me 33:02 So I sing not because I just like singing 33:11 And I praise him though the end I may not see 33:21 For whenever I lift the name of Jesus 33:29 Jesus reaches down, turns me around 33:35 And he lands my feet on a higher ground 33:42 He reaches down and He lifts me. 34:11 Since this is the night for telling the truth, 34:16 I get to introduce a very dear friend. 34:20 I met her when I was Pastoring the 34:21 Ephesus Church; her grandmother was 34:23 the director of the most famous choir I think 34:26 in New York City, The New Believers Chorus. 34:28 And it was designed as a choir to keep new 34:30 believers in the church once they got baptized 34:33 her grandmother would put them in this choir 34:35 and they were supposed to stay six months 34:37 or so and then move on but it so happened 34:39 that they loved the choir so much, 34:41 some of those new believers are in 34:42 that choir 20, 30, 40 years. 34:45 But her granddaughter began to come to church 34:48 then I met Yvonne Lewis. She stood up for a 34:51 number of reasons. First of all she 34:52 is an excellent, fabulous singer with 34:54 an pedigree equal to any in the world, 34:56 has sung with many of the great artists in 34:59 the world and was one of the top jingles singers 35:02 in New York but she always stood out because she 35:05 always came to church late. 35:07 Always came late. But I forgave her 35:10 because she always brought visitors. 35:13 See a pastor will forgive somebody who comes 35:15 late when they bring visitors, 35:16 she would bring a line of people, 35:18 five, six, seven visitors every Sabbath. 35:21 She sang in the world and when she came to 35:23 the Lord she went back to the world and got 35:25 those same people from the world and brought them 35:28 to church with her and we baptized any number 35:30 of those individuals. All of them made great 35:33 sacrifices for the Lord but she is a great singer 35:35 and a great person. And I could name names 35:38 that she would know, she has sung with them are 35:40 some of the very best, her wall is lined with 35:42 gold and platinum records, 35:44 she is a fabulous singer but more than 35:46 that she is a fabulous Christian. 35:48 It is my pleasure to introduce 35:50 to you Dr. Yvonne Lewis. 36:16 Your only Son No sin to hide 36:24 But You have sent Him, From Your side 36:31 To walk upon this guilty sod 36:39 And to become the Lamb of God 36:50 Your gift of Love They crucified 36:57 They laughed and scorned him as he died 37:05 The humble King They named a fraud 37:12 And sacrificed the Lamb of God 37:20 Oh Lamb of God, Sweet Lamb of God 37:27 I love the Holy Lamb of God 37:35 Oh wash me in Your precious Blood 37:42 My Jesus Christ the Lamb of God 37:54 I was so lost I should have died 38:01 But You have brought me to Your side 38:08 To be led by Your staff and rod 38:16 And to be call a lamb of God 38:23 Oh Lamb of God, Sweet lamb of God 38:31 I love the Holy Lamb of God 38:38 Oh wash me in Your precious Blood 38:46 My Jesus Christ the Lamb of God 38:53 Oh wash me in Your precious Blood 39:03 My Jesus Christ the Lamb of God. Amen. 39:32 Wasn't that wonderful? Can't you just see the 39:36 Lamb of God when the chorus came to fruition. 39:43 Had it not been for Lamb of God where would we 39:44 tonight. We think about 39:48 ministries and all the work that we put into 39:50 the day by day operations of 3ABN. 39:55 But what value would any of it have had it not 39:59 been for the Lamb of God. 40:01 You think about John the Baptist, 40:02 one of the greatest introductions, 40:03 we all introduced each other but the greatest 40:06 introduction ever made was when John 40:08 the Baptist says "Behold the Lamb of God 40:11 that taketh away the sin of the world." 40:12 What an introduction. I've seen 40:14 presidents introduced; I've seen heads of state. 40:18 I've been to ambassador's homes, 40:20 I've been in very important circles but 40:21 there's no introduction that made more of 40:24 an impact on humanity then when John the Baptist 40:27 at the River Jordan outside on a 40:30 dusty setting, almost seemingly 40:34 unimportant to those who looked on, 40:37 "Behold the Lamb of God that takes away 40:39 the sin of the world." And so that song put it 40:42 all together for us tonight, 40:43 the reason why we are all here is because 40:47 Jesus came down, took off his divinity, 40:51 hid it in humanity, came on a mission where 40:54 He knew He was going to be killed, 40:57 but His love for us was greater than His 40:59 love for himself. And so the Lamb 41:02 of God slain from the foundation of the world 41:05 came to tell the story how precious 41:07 that blood is. And so Peter, 41:10 one who was very redeemed, one who had a hard 41:13 time staying on tap with Christ, 41:16 one who denied Jesus and disappointed Him so many 41:19 times finally converted, made it very clear 41:22 with the message, we were not redeemed 41:25 with corruptible things like silver and gold. 41:29 But with the precious blood as of a 41:32 spotless lamb. Peter knew after 41:35 he denied Jesus, what I like about Jesus 41:37 so much friends is that whenever we failed Him, 41:39 He never fails us. Can you say amen to 41:42 that friends? Amen. 41:43 So when you think about the Lamb of God 41:46 you think of one of the most helpless animals 41:49 on the planet. They tell me 41:53 I've never done this before but they tell me 41:55 that when you lay out a lamb on his back 41:56 it just surrenders. Thus we see another 42:00 picture of Jesus, betrayed and tormented 42:04 for our redemption, He did not open his mouth. 42:07 But as I think of the songs that we 42:09 put together tonight all, telling a piece of the 42:11 story of Jesus I think of a very touching story 42:14 in the New Testament of a man who was determined 42:17 to get to Jesus, a man by the name of 42:20 blind Bartimaeus, we know him that way. 42:24 And Jesus heals so many people that were blind 42:27 but this one man was determined to 42:30 get to Jesus. And you know 42:34 when you're determined to get to Jesus, 42:37 Jesus doesn't run from us He makes himself 42:39 available to us. But what was so 42:41 touching about this particular story was that 42:46 this was the last journey that Jesus is going 42:48 to take before He went to Calvary. 42:52 And every attempt this man made to get to Jesus, 42:55 there was a great crowd but Jesus knowing He 42:57 was looking for Him so ordered His steps not 43:01 to create a distance between he and the one 43:04 who needed salvation but to come close to him. 43:07 And when the crowd got together with all 43:10 the strength this man had, he looked at Jesus and 43:12 he said, son of David, have mercy on me. 43:18 And I believe that, that was the inspiration 43:19 for this song, Pass me not O 43:22 gentle savior, hear my humble cry. 43:27 While on others thou art calling do not 43:30 pass me by. How strange it is that, 43:33 that song was written by someone who didn't 43:35 have her sight either. Fanny Crosby. 43:39 One who knows that real sight is not 43:41 physical but spiritual, one who sees Jesus 43:44 with eyes that are closed shut, 43:47 one who has an inner vision that is created by 43:49 the connection between her and Christ. 43:51 And so tonight as you listen to this song think 43:53 of that man who made it his determined will 43:55 to get in touch with Jesus and I wanna say 43:57 to you tonight if you're watching by whatever 44:00 means or listening by the radio, 44:02 don't hesitate to make up your mind to get 44:04 in touch with Jesus because you know it 44:06 just maybe in a similar situation, 44:08 it was the last journey that Jesus is going 44:10 to take on that route before His way to Calvary. 44:15 Listen to the story so wonderfully told, 44:17 through the eyes of one who didn't have 44:19 vision but had a clear 44:20 picture of Jesus. Pass Me Not. 44:23 Savior, Savior, hear my humble cry; 44:37 while on others Thou art calling, 44:44 do not pass me by 44:56 Pass me not O Gentle Savior, 45:02 hear my humble cry; while on others 45:13 Thou art calling, do not pass me by, 45:24 Savior, Savior, hear my humble cry; 45:39 while on others Thou art calling, 45:46 do not pass me by, 45:58 Let me at Thy throne of mercy 46:04 Find a sweet relief, Whiling I'm Kneeling there 46:14 in deep contrition; Lord, help my unbelief. 46:26 While I'm trusting only in Thy merits, 46:33 Would I seek Thy face; Heal my wounded, 46:44 broken spirit, Then save me by Thy grace. 46:54 For I'm crying Savior, Oh my savior, 47:03 Hear my humble cry; Lord while on others 47:13 Thou art calling, Just do not pass me by, 47:28 You're the Spring of all my comfort, 47:34 And you are more than life to me, 47:43 Whom have I on earth beside Thee 47:50 And whom in heaven but Thee? 47:56 So I'm crying, Savior, Oh my savior, 48:04 Won't you hear my humble cry; 48:11 Lord while on others Thou are calling, 48:19 Just do not pass me by, For I'm crying Savior, 48:30 Oh my savior, Hear my humble cry; 48:40 Lord while on others Thou art calling, 48:48 Just do not pass me by. Do not pass me by. 49:25 Amen. Thank you John. 49:31 I don't know about you but I'm blessed already as 49:33 I was sitting there. I've been enjoying the 49:35 music of all of these folks so much but a very 49:38 solemn thought hit me. George Bozarth, 49:43 the operator, master control operator, 49:46 worked for 3ABN for, I think it's close to 20, 49:49 between and 20 and 22 years, 49:51 George was here almost in the very beginning. 49:53 Yesterday morning, he didn't make it 49:55 to work so they asked the son Stewart who works 49:58 here to go check on him, and George, 50:00 he found his father dead and George had 50:03 asthma and it appears that he had an asthma 50:05 attack and couldn't get help tomorrow, 50:07 we're doing a funeral. And George and 50:11 I've known each other since high school, 50:12 we went to high school together, 50:13 graduated together West Frankfort High School and 50:17 I was thinking about you know life and how 50:19 uncertain life is. And this past week 50:22 we saw the Marianne Presley, 50:24 at West Frankfort passed away. 50:26 And it's undoubtedly as George drove the 50:29 last day or two to work through West Frankfort 50:31 so his name at Park, written at the Marquee, 50:35 thinking boy this is you know what a shame 50:37 Marian's a great guy and then today assures 50:39 tomorrow could be you and me, 50:40 tonight it could be you and me, 50:42 only by the grace of the God are we still here. 50:45 But the important thing is not what happens to 50:47 us that whether, how long we live, 50:50 it's a matter of what happens to us 50:52 when we die. And we have a hope and 50:56 3ABN is committed to giving this hope that 51:00 there is a solution to this world's 51:02 problems today, that when we die 51:04 we don't have to die and stay dead as they 51:06 say right, that we have a hope of what? 51:09 A resurrection in the Lord Jesus Christ. 51:13 And today each and everyone of us as we 51:14 said this camp meeting is kind of, we can take 51:17 time to relax a little, be a little more 51:19 personal and talk from our hearts. 51:22 And mine today is sitting there, saying, 51:24 Lord if you were to come today, 51:27 if you came this evening in the clouds of glory, 51:30 or if I die tonight what would I be thinking 51:33 the next moment? Because when we die 51:36 as we know, we sleep in the grave till 51:37 Jesus comes, but it's gonna be 51:38 like this, right. No conception of 51:40 time and death. People say well 51:42 I thought you went straight to 51:43 heaven or hell, no that's not the case. 51:45 But in the sense what difference does it make 51:47 because when you die we don't know how long 51:50 we're in the grave, it will be like the very 51:52 next moment we will see Jesus Christ coming 51:54 in the clouds of glory. And what will we be 51:57 able to say, will we be able to stand 51:59 up and look and say, lo, this is our God 52:01 whom we've waited for, He has come to save us 52:04 or are we gonna run for the rocks and mountains. 52:06 It doesn't make any difference, 52:07 we can be pastors, we can be whatever, 52:09 we can be teachers, we can be Sabbath school, 52:11 Sunday school teachers, we can do all of these 52:14 things in the name of the Lord and still miss 52:16 the boat if you will, still miss that 52:19 heavenly boat. And so tonight I think 52:22 it's the time in this weekend to remember not 52:25 only we standing on Holy Ground but we are 52:27 serving the Holy God. You see that's what 52:29 makes separates God from all of us, 52:31 is that He is Holy. Right. He is everlasting. 52:34 He says I'm the alpha, the omega, 52:36 I'm the first and the last, 52:37 I'm the beginning and the end. 52:40 Without God there is no hope, 52:41 with God there is life everlasting, 52:43 so it's a simple choice, but as Satan compounds 52:46 all of these things to make us sometimes not 52:49 even know what direction where we are because 52:52 the Bible says, He is coming about 52:54 like a thief. Like a roaring lion, 52:56 seeking those whom He may devour if it were 52:58 possible He would to see even the very elect. 53:01 Tonight folks many of us like to think we're a 53:03 part of the elect group in a general term. 53:06 While we're Seventh-day Adventist Christians, 53:08 we're Baptist Christians, we're whatever and 53:10 we believe this and that. What doesn't matter 53:12 what we believe because even the 53:14 devil believes right. And the demons in 53:17 hell believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, 53:19 what is important is who are we sold out to. 53:22 So tonight I'm gonna encourage you to sell out 53:26 if you can use that term or why don't I say 53:28 give back to God what is rightfully his. 53:31 Because God created us from the very dust 53:33 of the ground. What has happened here 53:35 we just talked about a few moments ago, 53:38 should the Lord, tell everyone of us 53:39 are gonna meet the same end on this earth but 53:44 where are we and where we will stand 53:46 when Jesus comes back in the clouds of glory. 53:50 All that God expects us to do is to come 53:52 to the foot of the cross, not only talking to you 53:54 but those of you at home around the world, 53:57 maybe you are watching for the first time, 53:59 I have talked to people who said, 54:01 I've never watched Christian television I 54:03 turned on 3ABN and someone was preaching 54:06 and I accepted Jesus from that. 54:08 Maybe in this next moment or so somebody 54:10 is watching if you are it's not by accident and 54:13 you are in a valley of decision, 54:14 you don't know what to do, let me tell you 54:16 something, the gospel is very simple. 54:18 You don't have to gone to the schools, 54:19 you don't have to gone the seminary, 54:21 you don't have to done all these things, 54:22 you don't have to know and memorize Revelation 54:25 and all the Bible. All you have to do Jesus 54:28 says is realize that we are sinners in need 54:30 of a Savior. Confess our sins the Bible 54:33 says and He'll be faithful and just to forgive us 54:35 from our sins and to cleanse us from 54:37 all unrighteousness. And when that happens 54:40 all we have to do is go and tell. See the Gospel, 54:44 isn't that so simple, is come and go. 54:46 Come to the foot of the cross, right, 54:49 literally get down on our knees, say Lord, 54:51 forgive me, I'm a sinner, 54:53 I'm sorry for what I've done. 54:55 Then go and tell, well what do we go and tell? 54:57 Somebody says, well I don't know 54:58 anything about the Bible, I don't even know where 55:01 to begin, what did Jesus 55:02 just do for you. Ellen White makes 55:04 a statement, our greatest asset is 55:07 our own personal testimony of what 55:09 God has done for us. And yet sometimes folks 55:13 we hide it under a bush. Everyday we pass people 55:17 on the streets and this is reality, 55:19 maybe we met somebody at a gas station, 55:21 we met somebody as we're traveling, 55:24 they didn't make it through that night. 55:26 Maybe they're now resting, waiting the 55:28 second coming. What did we do to 55:30 help that person, to lead that 55:32 person to Jesus, do we talk about 55:34 ourselves and all the things we can do, 55:36 but did we point them to Jesus. 55:37 I believe Jesus is coming back for a 55:39 purified bride, a purified church, 55:41 that's what the Bible says, 55:42 am I right? And right now folks I 55:45 don't think we're there. And that's why 3ABN camp 55:47 meeting I'm excited about it because it calls us 55:50 back and it's a renewal to come back to the 55:54 Lord and say Lord, why are we here 55:56 in the closing moments of earth's history? 55:58 I'm thankful God has people in all churches, 56:00 aren't you? But God has always 56:02 had present truth, He's entrusted that 56:04 present truth to Sevent -day Adventist Christians 56:07 to take the three angels messages into 56:10 all the world. And that three 56:12 angels messages, the center of the 56:14 three angels messages is what, or who, 56:17 it's Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 56:19 Today folks, I want to encourage 56:21 each and everyone of us, let's resubmit, 56:24 recommit our lives to Jesus. 56:25 I'm not perfect and never claimed to be, 56:27 have lots of faults and failures, 56:29 but you know what, I'm a sinner 56:30 saved by grace, by the grace of the God. 56:33 You can be a sinner saved by grace 56:35 if you're not, I'm gonna ask you 56:36 to literally come to Jesus and today is the day 56:40 of salvation and say, Lord save me because 56:43 I'm a sinner. There is nothing 56:44 that you've done that's so bad that God won't 56:46 forgive you, isn't that great? 56:48 We don't forgive each other, 56:50 that's the human trait. But see I'm glad 56:52 God's not human, I'm glad He is divine 56:54 aren't you? And I'm glad that 56:55 He is now ever inner seating at the right 56:57 hand of the Father for you and me today. 57:00 That's the kind of God that we serve, 57:01 so today I'm gonna ask you to resubmit and 57:04 recommit your life to Jesus. 57:07 If you're already a Christian, 57:08 I'm gonna ask you to say Lord what is it that you 57:10 want me to do, surely there is more 57:12 of a work for me to do and say Lord, 57:15 get me out of this little box I'm in, 57:17 I wanna do something that makes a difference in 57:19 this world for you. I'm thankful for the 57:23 opportunity to be a Christian today I know 57:26 that you are and I'm gonna ask you and those 57:28 of you at home that if you need a new 57:29 touch from Jesus, ask Him, 57:31 I promise you that He'll give it to you. |
