Welcome to 3ABN's Fall Camp Meeting Homecoming 2009. 00:00:24.56\00:00:29.63 Featuring inspired messages from your 3ABN family 00:00:32.00\00:00:35.40 along with uplifting Christian music 00:00:39.23\00:00:41.53 all to prepare your heart for the coming of the Lord. 00:00:41.53\00:00:45.43 I heard a song recently 00:00:46.00\00:00:48.53 that I just fell in love with. 00:00:48.53\00:00:50.53 It was written by Danny Shelton and I've ask Danny 00:00:51.10\00:00:54.93 if he would sing it for us tonight 00:00:54.93\00:00:57.93 and he has considered to do so. 00:00:57.93\00:01:00.36 And the title of it is "I give you all my praise". 00:01:00.36\00:01:05.53 This is one of those things sometimes in life 00:01:06.33\00:01:08.33 when you going along and maybe you hit a bump 00:01:08.33\00:01:10.96 in the road that be easy way of sign it, right. 00:01:10.96\00:01:13.70 Some of you here a bump now and then and sometimes 00:01:13.90\00:01:16.33 you decide you know I can either give up 00:01:16.33\00:01:18.10 or I can keep going and so one night I was sitting 00:01:18.63\00:01:22.46 just week or so ago and was sitting 00:01:22.46\00:01:24.70 with the guitar late at night and I said Lord 00:01:24.70\00:01:27.63 I just give you all the praise 00:01:27.63\00:01:30.00 and he kind of gave me this little song. 00:01:30.00\00:01:32.36 I hope I can do it for you now. 00:01:32.36\00:01:34.06 All my praise, I give you all my praise 00:01:36.40\00:01:46.20 That's all I have to offer you 00:01:46.96\00:01:56.63 I now build a sanctuary deep within my heart 00:01:57.86\00:02:08.26 And all my praise I offer up to you. 00:02:09.26\00:02:18.50 I love you Lord. Oh! Oh! Please fill me Lord with your Holy 00:03:06.80\00:03:21.03 Spirit fill me Lord. 00:03:21.03\00:03:27.66 For I long for your anointing 00:03:28.73\00:03:29.70 that I may work for you. 00:03:34.06\00:03:39.93 Fill me Lord, touch me Lord once Lord. 00:03:42.20\00:03:52.00 All my praise I gave you all my praise 00:03:54.70\00:04:04.40 That's all I have to offer you 00:04:05.60\00:04:15.66 I now build a sanctuary deep within my heart 00:04:17.20\00:04:28.30 And all my praise, I offer up to you 00:04:29.50\00:04:39.86 And all my praise, I offer up to you 00:04:40.46\00:04:52.90 All my praise to you. 00:04:56.10\00:05:08.00 It's my privilege tonight to introduce 00:05:21.60\00:05:24.00 Pastor C.A Murray and I don't know 00:05:24.23\00:05:26.20 if he plays the guitar or not, 00:05:26.20\00:05:27.60 but he wants one here and here's one here. 00:05:27.60\00:05:30.13 But C.A. Murray is one of the best friends 00:05:30.80\00:05:34.63 that I've ever had in my life I consider him 00:05:34.63\00:05:37.46 my brother and the Lord, I consider him 00:05:37.46\00:05:40.56 a spiritual mentor. 00:05:40.56\00:05:42.00 I look up to him in more ways than one some ways 00:05:42.83\00:05:48.56 are obvious his taller than me and but I looked up 00:05:48.56\00:05:52.13 to him and I feel that God has blessed 00:05:52.13\00:05:55.96 not only me personally, but the ministry of 00:05:55.96\00:05:58.53 3 Angels Broadcasting Network and in that sense 00:05:58.53\00:06:02.46 is blessed many many multitudes of people 00:06:02.46\00:06:05.70 around the world are blessed because of the 00:06:05.70\00:06:07.80 ministry of Pastor and author C.A. 00:06:07.80\00:06:10.66 Murray and singer C.A. Murray has a new project 00:06:10.66\00:06:14.00 out and so at this time it is my privilege 00:06:14.00\00:06:17.00 brother C.A. Murray come out and bless us. 00:06:17.00\00:06:19.60 We have had a wonderful sitting together 00:06:26.80\00:06:29.60 and I'm thankful to Danny for using his, 00:06:30.96\00:06:35.30 thankful for those kind words. 00:06:35.30\00:06:36.93 I feel very prayed up my friend and 00:06:37.60\00:06:40.20 Pastor John Lomacang was among the first to pray 00:06:40.20\00:06:42.90 for me this evening and I return an favored him 00:06:42.90\00:06:47.00 on yesterday's good one your Pastor prays for you. 00:06:47.00\00:06:49.46 It's been a long day and yet there is 00:06:50.10\00:06:51.70 a word from the Lord. 00:06:51.70\00:06:53.26 I said I like to talk to you for just a few moments 00:06:54.93\00:06:57.00 on arguing with God. 00:06:57.00\00:06:58.70 I want to tell you how to argue with God. 00:06:59.90\00:07:01.80 It will of necessity be a very short sermon. 00:07:04.73\00:07:07.13 In fact it maybe one of the shortest sermons 00:07:11.30\00:07:13.00 you've ever heard in fact it is so short I will warn 00:07:13.00\00:07:15.16 you when the sermon comes 00:07:15.16\00:07:16.76 because though the sermon is short the preamble 00:07:18.60\00:07:20.83 is somewhat lengthy. 00:07:20.83\00:07:22.10 So, I'll tell you when we get to the sermon 00:07:24.03\00:07:27.66 because we want to talk just a few minutes 00:07:28.93\00:07:30.80 about arguing with God. 00:07:30.80\00:07:33.13 I should like you to turn with me if you will 00:07:34.66\00:07:36.80 to the book of Second Kings. 00:07:36.80\00:07:39.70 I've been preaching from First and Second Kings 00:07:40.66\00:07:43.30 for better part of two years. 00:07:43.30\00:07:45.06 There is much to be found in that particular book. 00:07:45.80\00:07:49.93 We will not read from it just now. 00:07:51.16\00:07:53.16 We will pick it up just a little bit later, 00:07:53.16\00:07:54.80 but I want you to be prepare, 00:07:55.40\00:07:56.83 so put your finger there or your tab there 00:07:56.83\00:07:59.60 and hold on to it for just a little bit 00:07:59.60\00:08:02.00 because there are one or two things 00:08:02.60\00:08:03.70 we need to do with just prior to going to the word. 00:08:03.70\00:08:07.23 Second Kings, we'll read the first several 00:08:08.66\00:08:11.26 verses of that, that very powerful book, 00:08:11.26\00:08:13.80 Second Kings chapter 20, Second Kings chapter 20 00:08:13.80\00:08:18.53 and we will consider shortly 00:08:19.33\00:08:21.73 verses 1 through 6. 00:08:21.73\00:08:24.60 Shall we pray? Heavenly father, 00:08:25.20\00:08:26.83 we just ask now for your presence 00:08:27.40\00:08:29.50 and your power because we need Jesus 00:08:29.50\00:08:32.80 as never before. 00:08:32.80\00:08:34.10 Yeah I was late not only on this particular 00:08:34.90\00:08:37.36 Saturday night, but in the history of planet earth 00:08:37.36\00:08:41.30 and all we want to be ready when Jesus comes. 00:08:42.40\00:08:44.66 Amen. So we call upon you to speak to us 00:08:46.03\00:08:47.63 and give us strength to walk the road that leads 00:08:47.63\00:08:50.93 to glory and we thank you in Jesus name, amen. 00:08:50.93\00:08:56.16 Amen. I should like to ask a question 00:08:56.16\00:08:58.90 It may seem rhetorically, it is not. 00:09:00.56\00:09:02.50 But, I want to ask you is there anyone here 00:09:03.83\00:09:06.13 who has ever argued with God? 00:09:06.13\00:09:08.70 Be honest, if you have; have you ever argued with God? 00:09:10.20\00:09:13.00 The next question, did you win? 00:09:16.26\00:09:18.86 And if you won, how do you know that you won? 00:09:22.93\00:09:29.63 Or you might say well I got what I want, 00:09:35.16\00:09:37.93 I got what I wanted. Now that maybe the 00:09:37.93\00:09:43.13 most salient proof that you lost. 00:09:43.13\00:09:45.80 Arguing with God; if indeed you've argued 00:09:49.50\00:09:54.60 with God you are inferiorly rarefied air 00:09:54.60\00:09:57.30 and good company. Moses argued with God, 00:09:57.30\00:10:00.46 Abraham argued with God, David argued with God, 00:10:00.76\00:10:04.16 most of the prophets argued with God, 00:10:04.16\00:10:06.10 William Miller argued with God, 00:10:06.10\00:10:07.80 and Ellen White argued with God. 00:10:07.80\00:10:11.20 Now, you maybe among that group of 00:10:13.86\00:10:15.26 people, who believe that Christians never argue. 00:10:15.26\00:10:19.53 Are you kidding? Let me give you just a 00:10:21.30\00:10:26.60 peak at one of the most famous arguments in 00:10:26.60\00:10:28.50 the New Testament. Fought by two individuals 00:10:28.50\00:10:32.10 who I have been to know were Christians. 00:10:32.10\00:10:34.60 It is found in Acts chapter 13 verse 2, 00:10:35.23\00:10:37.90 Acts 13 verse 2, the Bible says in Acts 13 00:10:38.93\00:10:41.46 verse 2 in fact let me turn to it very quickly 00:10:41.46\00:10:43.36 Acts chapter 13 and verse 2. 00:10:43.36\00:10:46.06 Mathew, Mark Luke, John, Acts 13 and verse 2 00:10:50.73\00:10:55.83 and as they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, 00:11:01.33\00:11:04.46 the Holy Spirit said, who said the Holy Spirit 00:11:05.16\00:11:09.53 said now separate me Barnabas and Saul for 00:11:09.53\00:11:13.63 the work to which I have called them. 00:11:13.63\00:11:15.50 So, who called them? Holy Spirit. 00:11:15.50\00:11:18.03 Were they Christians? Oh yeah. 00:11:18.03\00:11:20.03 Holy Spirit called Barnabas call Saul to 00:11:22.66\00:11:25.90 a special work. Now let's look what 00:11:25.90\00:11:28.23 happens just two chapters later I mean 00:11:28.23\00:11:29.90 chapter 15 verse 39, chapter 15 verse 39 00:11:29.90\00:11:35.50 in fact to get the whole story started 00:11:35.50\00:11:36.60 verse 37, chapter 15 verse 37. 00:11:36.60\00:11:40.23 Now Barnabas was determined to take 00:11:42.00\00:11:45.40 with them John called Mark. Somebody is determined, 00:11:45.40\00:11:49.83 but Paul insisted that they should take, 00:11:51.10\00:11:58.00 that they should not take with them one 00:11:58.00\00:12:00.50 who had departed from them in Pamphylia 00:12:00.50\00:12:02.86 and had not gone with them to the work. 00:12:03.46\00:12:05.20 So, Barnabas wants him Paul does not. 00:12:05.50\00:12:10.66 Now what do you call determined when it 00:12:11.93\00:12:14.60 meets insisted. That's argument isn't it? 00:12:14.60\00:12:21.00 Two men both ordained by God have 00:12:21.80\00:12:24.73 filled with the Holy Spirit one determined 00:12:24.73\00:12:28.13 he is gonna go, one insisted no he ain't. 00:12:28.13\00:12:31.00 Well, yes he is no he not. Oh! Yeah yes he is no 00:12:32.26\00:12:34.83 way not. He is, he is not, he is not. 00:12:34.83\00:12:37.00 I want him, I don't. So, what happened, 00:12:37.96\00:12:41.43 verse 39 then the contention became so 00:12:41.90\00:12:45.60 short, so what? Short. Umm! Umm! 00:12:45.60\00:12:49.06 The contention became so short that they parted 00:12:50.13\00:12:53.50 from another and so Barnabas took Mark 00:12:53.50\00:12:56.70 and sailed to Cyprus and Paul went the 00:12:56.70\00:12:58.63 other way with Silas. So, do Christians argue? 00:12:58.63\00:13:02.00 Yes. Oh yeah! The question is not if 00:13:02.93\00:13:07.53 you're gonna argue. The question is what 00:13:07.53\00:13:11.00 you're gonna do when you argue. 00:13:11.00\00:13:14.03 You see the burden is to argue and still be christian. 00:13:14.03\00:13:21.30 Amen. Amen. Bible says be angry and sin not. 00:13:21.30\00:13:25.20 So, it's not are you going to get into an argument. 00:13:25.20\00:13:28.80 The question is, are you going to be a Christian? 00:13:30.00\00:13:33.13 Why you argue? I'm saying that a Christian 00:13:36.70\00:13:43.26 fight ought to be better that a non-Christian fight. 00:13:43.26\00:13:48.93 A Christian argument ought to be cleaner 00:13:51.96\00:13:55.20 than a non-Christian argument. 00:13:57.30\00:13:59.10 Non-Christians argue, Christians argue, 00:13:59.63\00:14:03.26 but there ought to be some semblance of 00:14:03.76\00:14:06.23 difference between a christian argument 00:14:06.23\00:14:09.46 and a non-Christian argument because 00:14:09.46\00:14:13.36 after the argument is over things ought to get better. 00:14:13.36\00:14:19.06 Amen. Now I have a theology of arguing. 00:14:19.06\00:14:22.36 To my mind there are only two modalities 00:14:23.73\00:14:25.60 for arguing as when I say there are only two 00:14:25.60\00:14:27.36 reasons for arguing, there are many reasons 00:14:27.36\00:14:29.13 why people argue, but there are only two 00:14:29.13\00:14:30.43 modalities, two modalities. One people argue to get 00:14:30.43\00:14:36.70 to the bottom of the situation, amen. 00:14:36.70\00:14:40.43 You have an opinion, I have an opinion. 00:14:41.53\00:14:44.56 If we're gonna get the truth in light we're 00:14:45.40\00:14:48.06 going to have to juxtapose those opinions, we're 00:14:48.06\00:14:51.26 gonna have to content little bit to try to get 00:14:51.26\00:14:54.16 the truth. So, the first modality for arguing 00:14:54.16\00:14:57.20 is trying to get to the truth, amen. 00:14:57.20\00:15:01.16 Amen. And if we're gonna get to the truth 00:15:01.16\00:15:03.20 sometime we got a work added a little bit. 00:15:03.20\00:15:05.96 Can you say amen? Amen. The second modality for 00:15:05.96\00:15:09.53 arguing is simply to win. 00:15:09.53\00:15:13.10 Umm! There are some people, who argue 00:15:15.70\00:15:19.30 and they are arguing to win. 00:15:19.30\00:15:21.20 They don't care about truth, they don't care about right, 00:15:22.00\00:15:24.83 they don't care about wrong, they are in it to win it. 00:15:24.83\00:15:28.30 And of course your burden for winning 00:15:30.36\00:15:33.13 predetermines the tactics you are prepared to use. 00:15:34.00\00:15:38.50 Amen. Amen. If you want to win 00:15:38.50\00:15:42.60 real bad, you fight real hard and sometimes 00:15:42.86\00:15:48.73 you even fight dirty. But, you don't care 00:15:48.73\00:15:52.93 about truth you care about winning. 00:15:52.93\00:15:55.86 Write this down and hold on to this 00:16:02.16\00:16:05.50 because we are gonna come back to it at the end 00:16:05.50\00:16:06.96 of the sermon. Herman and I have discussed this 00:16:06.96\00:16:10.56 many times, she is sitting right there she will tell 00:16:10.56\00:16:12.06 you. It is my settle belief that when two people 00:16:12.06\00:16:17.63 argue your number one job is to understand the 00:16:17.96\00:16:27.46 other person's point of view. That's your number 00:16:27.46\00:16:33.66 one job why? Because you already know your 00:16:33.66\00:16:40.60 point of view, that's why we are having this 00:16:40.60\00:16:44.33 fight because my point of view you, you forgive 00:16:44.33\00:16:47.83 my perjured of English, ain't your point of view. 00:16:47.83\00:16:50.30 If they were the same we wouldn't be here. 00:16:51.40\00:16:53.70 So, your job is to understand my point of 00:16:55.26\00:16:58.66 view and my job is to understand your point of 00:16:58.66\00:17:03.40 view that's a primary goal in any argument. 00:17:03.40\00:17:07.43 Particularly, when you are arguing 00:17:08.66\00:17:10.70 with your spouse. 00:17:10.70\00:17:11.66 Because just suppose, just suppose your point 00:17:21.96\00:17:28.50 of view is wrong, but how do you know unless 00:17:28.50\00:17:37.60 you, I got to find a nice Christian word for shut 00:17:37.60\00:17:41.36 up. Cease and desist your delightness 00:17:41.36\00:17:47.50 adverbial, long enough to hear my point of view 00:17:47.76\00:17:55.10 and I shut up long enough to hear your point of 00:17:56.40\00:18:00.06 view. That make sense if you never get a word 00:18:00.06\00:18:03.83 in I can understand you, if I never get a word in 00:18:03.83\00:18:06.30 you can understand me. So, my first goal once 00:18:06.53\00:18:09.20 we find out we've got a disagreement is for both 00:18:09.20\00:18:12.40 of us to listen long enough to understand, 00:18:12.40\00:18:16.53 where the other person is coming from. 00:18:16.73\00:18:18.30 We never gonna get to resolution unless I hear 00:18:19.63\00:18:21.86 you and you hear me make sense. 00:18:21.86\00:18:23.56 And we got to watch our mouth, see when you 00:18:27.86\00:18:32.76 use words like idiot, stupid, and fool that 00:18:32.76\00:18:41.86 itigates against resolution. 00:18:41.86\00:18:44.33 And anyway listen if he is an idiot, stupid, fool 00:18:48.83\00:18:51.60 what is that make you, you married him. 00:18:51.90\00:18:53.33 Should before judge and said I will honor, 00:19:01.93\00:19:03.63 love and obey to a depth life partner, the idiots. 00:19:03.63\00:19:06.00 So, we've got to watch our mouth. Amen. 00:19:11.20\00:19:14.33 Amen. James says a little member tongue. 00:19:14.33\00:19:16.96 Ellen White says this, early writings page 119, 00:19:19.43\00:19:24.70 if pride could be put aside most arguments 00:19:26.40\00:19:34.33 would be settled in five minutes. 00:19:34.33\00:19:36.20 If you could get out of the way and put your 00:19:39.23\00:19:40.96 pride down most arguments would be settled in 00:19:40.96\00:19:44.53 five minutes. We got folks not speak to each 00:19:44.80\00:19:48.50 other for years. Amen. Can you remember what 00:19:48.50\00:19:51.83 the original infection was I just don't talk to her 00:19:51.83\00:19:54.20 she don't talk to me. Oh! Well we don't know, 00:19:54.20\00:19:55.73 we just don't talk. Husband and wife sleep on 00:19:55.73\00:20:01.26 one almost fallen out this side of the bed one 00:20:01.96\00:20:03.73 fallen out that side of the bed. You look at him 00:20:04.10\00:20:06.63 into back of the car through the back window, 00:20:06.63\00:20:08.06 he is on this door and she is on that door. 00:20:08.06\00:20:10.36 And Ellen White says we could put our pride 00:20:12.16\00:20:13.63 aside five minutes clear most arguments. 00:20:13.63\00:20:20.10 Amen. Amen. 00:20:21.43\00:20:22.56 Back in 1800s, I'm a big, I'm big ship fan, 00:20:22.56\00:20:24.60 if you go in my office I have a lot of sailing 00:20:24.60\00:20:26.20 ships and the big sailing ship fanatic, but back in 00:20:26.20\00:20:28.66 1800 they, they, they when they had 1700 or 00:20:28.66\00:20:30.93 1800s, 17th, 18th, 19th centuries they had a 00:20:30.93\00:20:34.33 whaling fleets that go out from Long Island rise 00:20:34.33\00:20:37.53 to live. Catch whales in North Atlantic and 00:20:37.53\00:20:40.66 sometimes these whales were larger than the 00:20:41.00\00:20:42.66 ships that caught them and so once the whale 00:20:42.66\00:20:46.13 was harpooned by their original harpoon they 00:20:46.13\00:20:48.23 had to send a fellow out in a little tiny skiff to 00:20:48.23\00:20:51.20 actually attacks the lines to the whale because 00:20:51.20\00:20:54.03 many times they cut the blubber from the whale 00:20:54.03\00:20:55.86 right there in the ocean and it was the most 00:20:55.86\00:20:59.20 dangerous job. He was called the monkey and 00:20:59.20\00:21:04.23 the line that held him was called the monkey 00:21:04.23\00:21:07.20 line was attached to his waist and they put the 00:21:10.33\00:21:11.33 strongest man on deck to hold the other end of 00:21:11.33\00:21:12.60 the line because it was his job to go out and 00:21:12.60\00:21:14.83 stand on the cartels of the whale and actually 00:21:14.83\00:21:16.63 attach the lines to hold that whale still so it get 00:21:16.63\00:21:19.40 pull into the ship and begin to cut off the fat, 00:21:19.40\00:21:22.43 but it was a dangerous job because many times 00:21:23.13\00:21:25.26 the seas were rough, the whale would roar and 00:21:25.26\00:21:27.56 this fellow would drown, because the fellow that 00:21:27.56\00:21:30.56 was the attack that was assigned to hold the line 00:21:30.56\00:21:32.63 would just when the person he just let go. 00:21:33.50\00:21:35.73 But in 1800 about 1832 they decided to chain 00:21:37.66\00:21:43.36 that strongman to the monkey. His waist to the 00:21:44.86\00:21:51.06 monkey's waist. You know after that they lost a 00:21:51.06\00:21:54.23 lot less men because the strong man realize if he 00:21:54.23\00:22:01.30 die, I die, you know, it's the same way in our 00:22:01.30\00:22:06.06 marriages, if she dies, you die, if he dies, 00:22:06.06\00:22:15.36 you die. Christians have to watch their tongue 00:22:16.96\00:22:23.23 not only in your home, but in your life. 00:22:25.80\00:22:29.06 And so I say again a Christian argument ought 00:22:31.13\00:22:32.96 to be sweeter then a non-Christian argument. 00:22:32.96\00:22:38.30 Amen. Amen. 00:22:38.30\00:22:39.73 But my question is today tonight this evening 00:22:41.10\00:22:43.73 can we argue with God. Once God will has been 00:22:44.50\00:22:50.73 revealed do you get any wiggle room is there 00:22:50.73\00:22:53.20 any space in which you can negotiate with God. 00:22:53.20\00:22:57.06 Once God has expressed his will, can you 00:22:57.43\00:23:00.73 question that will? Do you get any kind of 00:23:00.73\00:23:05.30 wiggle room with God, do you have to do it just 00:23:05.30\00:23:08.23 like God says do it? Can you, can you play with 00:23:08.23\00:23:10.90 it, can you adjust it, can you take 9/10 is there 00:23:10.90\00:23:14.00 anything you can do short of the express will of 00:23:14.00\00:23:16.50 God. Well let me ask you several questions one. 00:23:16.50\00:23:20.33 Is there anyone here, who thinks they are 00:23:21.96\00:23:27.83 smarter than God? We had somebody called 00:23:27.83\00:23:33.06 3ABN sometime ago with a new wrinkle on 00:23:33.06\00:23:37.20 face and the response given was Jesus never 00:23:37.20\00:23:41.23 said that, it's not in the Bible, it's it has, 00:23:41.23\00:23:43.86 Jesus never uttered that, it's just, it's just not like 00:23:44.43\00:23:46.80 Jesus and I've heard some what Jesus didn't 00:23:46.80\00:23:48.13 have all the light. Wrong. 00:23:48.13\00:23:52.96 So is there anybody here thinks that they are 00:23:54.43\00:23:55.70 smarter than God. Amen. Amen. 00:23:55.70\00:24:01.36 Is there anybody here whose life is so good that 00:24:02.00\00:24:05.73 you couldn't use a little divine help ever now 00:24:06.30\00:24:09.13 and again. Is anybody here whose made a big 00:24:09.13\00:24:16.10 mistake in their life. No, I'm talking about 00:24:16.46\00:24:20.30 stealing a slice of cake at the potluck or wearing 00:24:20.30\00:24:23.90 stockings with runs to, I'm talking about a big 00:24:23.90\00:24:26.96 mistake, bad mistake, bad decision no were it 00:24:26.96\00:24:32.80 cleaned it up, no were it sanitize it, just bad 00:24:33.20\00:24:36.60 anybody. As you look at that mistake was that a 00:24:36.96\00:24:42.23 God mistake or a man mistake? 00:24:42.23\00:24:44.26 Man mistake. Is there anyone here, 00:24:44.26\00:24:48.23 who feels that the entrance of God into the 00:24:48.23\00:24:50.13 world is case neutral? In another words, 00:24:50.13\00:24:51.93 world have been pretty much been the same 00:24:52.46\00:24:53.83 with God or without him or let's take it to a 00:24:53.83\00:24:58.36 person level. Is there anybody here, who figures 00:24:58.36\00:25:00.80 you would pretty much be here tonight doing 00:25:00.80\00:25:02.86 what you are doing, knowing what your 00:25:04.56\00:25:05.53 knowing, if God had not been in your life? 00:25:05.53\00:25:07.93 So, then you all agree that the insertion of God 00:25:11.26\00:25:15.00 into your life has been a plus positive thing. 00:25:15.00\00:25:19.06 You won't be where you are, you won't be who 00:25:20.03\00:25:22.23 you are, you won't be what you are without 00:25:22.23\00:25:25.30 God. Alright now let me show you something 00:25:25.30\00:25:27.86 very interesting we are in Second Kings chapter 00:25:27.86\00:25:29.20 20, correct Second Kings chapter 20, by the way 00:25:29.20\00:25:31.36 this is not the sermon. Yeah, this is just a little 00:25:31.36\00:25:37.03 Pastor ecclesiological over dictum, just a little 00:25:37.03\00:25:39.53 ecclesiological astrica, little gastroenteritis, 00:25:39.53\00:25:44.80 I'm sneezing at you hoping you to catch up, 00:25:44.80\00:25:46.33 catch you virus. Amen. 00:25:46.33\00:25:49.10 So we are in Second Kings, Seconds Kings 00:25:51.00\00:25:55.53 chapter 20 verse 1 through 6. Try to go 00:25:55.53\00:25:58.26 through fast times with what we are familiar 00:25:58.26\00:25:59.90 with. Alright in those days Hezekiah was sick 00:25:59.90\00:26:02.33 and near death you got that? And Isaiah the 00:26:02.33\00:26:05.30 prophet son of Amos went him and said thus 00:26:05.30\00:26:07.76 said the Lord set your house in order for you 00:26:07.76\00:26:10.13 shall you're gonna die and not live, now only 00:26:10.13\00:26:14.33 you're gonna die you're not going to live. 00:26:14.33\00:26:16.20 Then he turned his face toward the whale the 00:26:18.13\00:26:20.36 wall rather and pray to Lord saying remember 00:26:20.36\00:26:23.30 oh! Lord I pray how I walk before you in truth 00:26:23.30\00:26:27.76 with the loyal heart and I've done what is good 00:26:28.33\00:26:30.83 in your site and Hezekiah did what? 00:26:30.83\00:26:32.86 Wept bitterly and it happened before Isaiah had 00:26:33.80\00:26:37.06 gone out of the middle court that the word of the 00:26:39.83\00:26:40.80 Lord came to him saying return and tell 00:26:40.80\00:26:42.46 Hezekiah the leader of my people thus saith the 00:26:42.46\00:26:45.53 Lord God of David your father, powerful 00:26:45.73\00:26:47.50 statement in his name in itself and signing with 00:26:47.50\00:26:49.66 his own name. I've heard your prayer, I've what 00:26:49.86\00:26:52.60 heard your prayer, I've seen your tears surely I'll 00:26:53.73\00:26:58.83 do what? Gonna heal you on the third day you 00:26:58.83\00:27:02.00 shall go up to the house of Lord and I will add 00:27:02.00\00:27:05.80 to your days how many years 15 years, 00:27:07.90\00:27:08.90 15 years. God gave Hezekiah his decision, 00:27:10.53\00:27:18.03 Hezekiah didn't like it, so he said to God. 00:27:19.33\00:27:23.96 Hey God I'm on your side don't you remember 00:27:25.20\00:27:29.70 I've kept your ways, I've served your people, 00:27:30.80\00:27:32.86 I've done good the best I can all of my life, 00:27:33.30\00:27:36.50 cried, turned his face to the wall wept bitterly 00:27:36.90\00:27:42.13 and God changed his mind. Amen. Amen. 00:27:48.23\00:27:49.43 God changes his mind in response to Hezekiah's 00:27:49.96\00:27:55.46 prayer. God gave him 15 years pretty good 00:27:55.70\00:28:01.56 right, pretty good. He won, God what he wanted 00:28:01.76\00:28:08.93 or did he. Well, I start the Bible 3:4 itself let's 00:28:10.90\00:28:16.93 go over just 1 chapter First Kings 21 and read 00:28:23.86\00:28:24.83 verse 1. Manasseh was 12 years when he 00:28:24.83\00:28:31.40 became king and he reined 55 years in 00:28:31.40\00:28:35.30 Jerusalem, his mother's name was Hepsiba. 00:28:35.30\00:28:38.00 So, when was Manasseh born alright. 00:28:38.60\00:28:40.63 He became king at the death of this father he 00:28:42.00\00:28:44.36 was 12 years old and he became king and we do 00:28:44.36\00:28:46.03 the math he was born three years into that extra 00:28:49.30\00:28:50.30 15 years you got that, so three after God 00:28:50.30\00:28:53.03 changed his mind this child of God's changed 00:28:53.23\00:28:56.83 mind became king. Amen. Amen. 00:28:57.06\00:29:00.76 Alright, he became king. Now let's jump down 00:29:01.03\00:29:03.80 to verse 9, in verse 9 same chapter. But they 00:29:03.80\00:29:08.33 paid no attention. We're looking in James, 00:29:08.33\00:29:12.13 and Manasseh seduce them to do more evil than 00:29:12.56\00:29:16.50 the nations whom the Lord had destroyed before 00:29:16.50\00:29:19.30 the children of Israel. This is the child of God's 00:29:19.30\00:29:23.40 changed mind, the bible is saying he move 00:29:23.70\00:29:27.73 Israel in toward sin then the people who were 00:29:28.00\00:29:31.10 practicing sin, who God used Israel to move out 00:29:31.10\00:29:34.86 you're listening to me. Let's go on little bit 00:29:36.40\00:29:39.60 further verse 10 and the Lord spoke to his 00:29:39.60\00:29:43.86 servant the prophet saying because Manasseh 00:29:43.86\00:29:46.93 king of Judah has done these abominations and 00:29:46.93\00:29:49.63 has acted more wickedly then all the emirates, 00:29:49.63\00:29:52.36 who were before him and also has made Judah 00:29:52.90\00:29:55.36 sinned with his idols therefore thus saith at 00:29:55.36\00:29:58.50 the Lord God of Israel behold I'm bringing such 00:29:58.50\00:30:01.50 a calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah that 00:30:01.50\00:30:06.13 whoever hears of it both his ears will tingling. 00:30:06.13\00:30:09.90 Now there is a sermon in just that line. 00:30:11.03\00:30:12.50 God is saying because this king has done this 00:30:14.13\00:30:16.23 thing because he has turned my people to such 00:30:16.23\00:30:18.56 abomination and such wickedness I'm going to 00:30:18.90\00:30:21.80 have to bring something on Jerusalem that they 00:30:22.10\00:30:24.90 were never expect that when the world is it they 00:30:24.90\00:30:27.63 will know that I'm God. Amen. 00:30:27.63\00:30:30.90 You know what did he do? Well let's back up. 00:30:32.36\00:30:34.56 It's right there in verse 21 times gets off, 00:30:36.10\00:30:38.33 let me just tell you, you can read it for yourself, 00:30:38.33\00:30:40.43 witchcraft, sorcery, astrology, demonology, 00:30:41.33\00:30:46.06 sex worship, homosexuality, 00:30:46.80\00:30:49.23 temple prostitution, infanticide, idolatry, 00:30:49.90\00:30:53.70 seduction, sedition, assassination, terrorism, 00:30:53.90\00:30:58.30 the obituary, cabal and finally sacrifice of his 00:30:58.80\00:31:02.70 own children. Somehow in his mind he thought 00:31:02.70\00:31:07.60 that God would be pleased if he burned his 00:31:07.60\00:31:09.60 own child to death. And so he tortures his own 00:31:09.60\00:31:13.36 children on the altar of God as an act of 00:31:13.80\00:31:15.90 worship. He jails and assassinates all his 00:31:16.23\00:31:21.60 descendents, worships the devil, murders the 00:31:21.60\00:31:25.23 prophet Isaiah, who serve the Lord for over 15 00:31:25.23\00:31:28.13 years and what a strange is that at the end of his 00:31:28.13\00:31:35.43 life in his 70s he gives his heart to the Lord and 00:31:35.43\00:31:41.86 God forgives him. Amen. 00:31:41.86\00:31:45.40 But during that 55 years of reining, he set Israel 00:31:47.50\00:31:50.86 on a course from which they never recover. 00:31:50.86\00:31:53.96 You look at the destruction of the 00:31:55.36\00:31:56.40 southern kingdom of Judah. You can trace the 00:31:56.40\00:31:59.40 end of Judah to the beginning of the rein of 00:31:59.40\00:32:02.46 Manasseh. He got saved the country was lost. 00:32:02.46\00:32:07.46 You see ladies and gentleman sometimes we 00:32:08.86\00:32:10.36 can make decisions and they don't get played 00:32:10.36\00:32:13.23 out in our lifetime. We don't really suffer the 00:32:13.23\00:32:16.00 consequences of our decisions, our families 00:32:16.00\00:32:18.86 do, our children do, our parents do because we 00:32:18.86\00:32:24.86 didn't accept the will of God. So, the damage 00:32:24.86\00:32:27.83 was done the county was bankrupt and this king 00:32:27.83\00:32:34.06 Manasseh's this his son was so evil that his own 00:32:34.06\00:32:39.96 servants took his life after just two years. 00:32:39.96\00:32:42.53 As they we are not taken in the other 55 years of 00:32:42.53\00:32:44.50 this. Hezekiah got what he wanted ladies and 00:32:44.50\00:32:49.00 gentlemen, but he lost what he had. His own son 00:32:49.00\00:32:54.30 was responsible for destruction of Judah and 00:32:54.30\00:32:57.60 setting them on a course from which they never 00:32:57.60\00:32:59.66 recovered you can look at the seeds of the 00:32:59.66\00:33:02.23 Babylonian captivities sown in the rein of 00:33:02.46\00:33:06.10 Manasseh. Do you really think Hezekiah would 00:33:06.10\00:33:10.93 have argued with God had he known what that 00:33:10.93\00:33:15.33 extra 15 years would have brought. 00:33:15.33\00:33:18.06 Can you argue with God? Perhaps why the 00:33:22.70\00:33:26.50 question is should you argue with God? 00:33:26.50\00:33:30.83 By the way this is not a sermon. Second Samuel 00:33:33.53\00:33:37.66 chapter 12, got to go fast Second Samuel 00:33:37.66\00:33:41.86 chapter 12, gonna pick up 14 to 22 Second 00:33:41.86\00:33:47.20 Samuel 12 verse 14 to 22, going to read fast I'm 00:33:47.20\00:33:52.90 in the new king James Second Samuel chapter 00:33:52.90\00:33:54.40 12 verses 14 to 22, However, because by this 00:33:54.40\00:33:57.60 deed you have given great occasion to the 00:33:58.06\00:33:59.70 enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child 00:33:59.70\00:34:03.30 which is born to you shall surely die. 00:34:03.76\00:34:06.50 Another ethic from God. And Nathan departed 00:34:06.70\00:34:09.90 to his house. And the LORD struck the child 00:34:10.13\00:34:12.40 that Uriah's wife bare to David, and it became 00:34:12.40\00:34:15.20 ill. David therefore pleaded with God for the 00:34:15.20\00:34:17.80 child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all 00:34:17.80\00:34:20.43 night on the ground. So, the elders of his house 00:34:20.43\00:34:22.36 arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the 00:34:22.36\00:34:24.16 ground, but he would not know what to eat food 00:34:24.16\00:34:26.10 of. He is laying on the ground, he is fasting 00:34:26.10\00:34:27.76 worried about his child. Then on the seventh 00:34:28.16\00:34:29.93 day, they came to the pastor the child died. 00:34:29.93\00:34:31.66 And the servants of David were afraid to tell 00:34:31.93\00:34:33.73 him that the child was dead for they said, 00:34:33.73\00:34:36.10 indeed while the child was alive, we spoke to 00:34:36.30\00:34:38.50 him and he would not hear our voice. 00:34:38.50\00:34:40.80 How can we tell him that the child is dead? 00:34:41.60\00:34:43.76 He may do some harm. He may harm himself or 00:34:44.06\00:34:46.10 he may harm us. When David saw that his 00:34:46.10\00:34:48.73 servants are whispering, intelligent fellow, 00:34:48.93\00:34:50.70 David perceived that the child was dead. 00:34:51.23\00:34:53.10 Therefore David said to his servants, 00:34:53.86\00:34:55.23 Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead. 00:34:55.23\00:34:57.63 So, David arose from the ground, and washed, 00:34:57.63\00:34:59.60 and anointed himself, and changed his clothes, 00:34:59.60\00:35:01.46 went into the house of the LORD, 00:35:01.46\00:35:02.43 and worshipped, when he went to his own house 00:35:02.43\00:35:03.93 when requested that they set food before him 00:35:03.93\00:35:06.30 and he did ate. And the servant said to him. 00:35:06.30\00:35:08.10 What is this you have done? You were fasting 00:35:08.46\00:35:10.83 and weep for the child, while he was alive; 00:35:10.83\00:35:14.36 but when the child dead, you arouse and eat 00:35:14.66\00:35:17.36 food. Sermon almost here. When you have a story 00:35:17.36\00:35:26.13 that is so familiar at least for me I tried to find 00:35:26.13\00:35:29.80 the back story what is the story behind the story 00:35:29.80\00:35:33.13 and so I wondered for many years about this 00:35:34.53\00:35:36.53 particular story this particular story. My mind 00:35:36.53\00:35:41.90 works like this. How could Bathsheba be so 00:35:41.90\00:35:46.20 close to the palace that David could see her 00:35:46.20\00:35:50.30 bathing in evening light. What were she doing 00:35:50.30\00:35:54.40 that close to the palace you see because in Bible 00:35:54.40\00:35:57.00 times, I known of Bible history to know that you 00:35:57.00\00:35:59.33 have what is called higher article zoning. 00:35:59.33\00:36:01.70 In another words people who live near the 00:36:01.70\00:36:04.60 palace have business with the palace, just like 00:36:04.60\00:36:08.40 that with us today, poor people tend to live with 00:36:08.40\00:36:10.66 poor people, middle class people tend to live 00:36:10.66\00:36:12.73 with middle class people, rich people tend to 00:36:12.73\00:36:14.46 live with rich people. When you go to 00:36:14.46\00:36:16.70 Washington DC all of those buildings around 00:36:16.93\00:36:19.10 the White House are government buildings. 00:36:19.10\00:36:20.66 Well like the same way back in Israel's time. 00:36:20.66\00:36:22.43 David is walking on the roofers palace. 00:36:23.43\00:36:25.06 How did he get to see Bathsheba in fading 00:36:26.30\00:36:29.66 evening light. She must have lived near the 00:36:29.66\00:36:32.80 palace, so my mind says what was she doing 00:36:32.80\00:36:35.76 that close to the palace. So, I began to do some 00:36:35.76\00:36:37.96 research and as I researched every page I'm 00:36:37.96\00:36:40.80 turned made David sin even worst. How could 00:36:41.03\00:36:45.16 David see Bathsheba? Well, she lived near the 00:36:45.16\00:36:47.43 palace number 1, Bathsheba's father was a 00:36:47.43\00:36:53.60 fellow by the name of Eliam route is really fast 00:36:53.60\00:36:55.60 stick with me he has mentioned in Second 00:36:55.60\00:36:58.03 Samuel chapter 23 verse 34 Eliam is mentioned 00:36:58.03\00:37:01.20 as one of David's mighty man. He is one of 00:37:01.20\00:37:04.40 David's mighty man to be a mighty man means 00:37:04.40\00:37:08.03 you have to kill several people in battle. 00:37:08.03\00:37:09.70 You had to be good with the sword, you had to 00:37:09.93\00:37:11.50 be honest, strong, brave, true, and courageous. 00:37:11.50\00:37:14.66 David's mighty men became his praetorian 00:37:15.90\00:37:18.90 guard, in another words they were responsible 00:37:18.90\00:37:21.10 for keeping him alive. So, Bathsheba's dad was 00:37:21.33\00:37:25.30 one of David's 30 hand picked body guards are 00:37:25.30\00:37:29.46 you listening to me? Alright, so her father 00:37:29.46\00:37:33.23 is one of David's mighty man. Her husband the 00:37:33.53\00:37:37.36 Bible says backed up by the spirit of prophecy 00:37:37.36\00:37:39.80 was one of David's most loyal soldiers. 00:37:40.10\00:37:43.06 He prove that over and over again because when 00:37:43.33\00:37:44.96 he was brought home from the front instead of 00:37:44.96\00:37:47.53 going to be with his wife he said I'm not gonna 00:37:47.53\00:37:49.16 enjoy the commits of my own home while the 00:37:49.36\00:37:51.30 armies of Israel sleeping in tents loyal man who 00:37:51.30\00:37:55.10 loved his God. Now these things are good 00:37:55.10\00:37:58.33 enough, but did I day say nail in the coffin was 00:37:58.56\00:38:01.93 this one. Her grandfather was the fellow by the 00:38:01.93\00:38:07.16 name of Ahithophel you know that name 00:38:10.83\00:38:11.80 Ahithophel. Ahithophel was David's personal 00:38:11.80\00:38:15.10 counselor. David didn't make a move without 00:38:15.56\00:38:19.26 talking to Ahithophel every thing that David 00:38:19.50\00:38:22.76 did, he ran by Ahithophel. So, Ahithophel had 00:38:22.76\00:38:26.46 to be on 27/7 call he had to live right next to the 00:38:26.46\00:38:30.23 palace because anytime David needed him he 00:38:30.50\00:38:33.23 had to be right there where you had several 00:38:33.23\00:38:35.40 generations living together so I suspect 00:38:35.60\00:38:37.43 Ahithophel, Eliam, Isaiah and David and 00:38:37.73\00:38:41.96 Bathsheba all lived and has together right next 00:38:41.96\00:38:44.80 to the palace. Now, what did they think of 00:38:44.80\00:38:48.26 Ahithophel? Let's go to Second Samuel 16:23, 00:38:48.26\00:38:50.50 Second Samuel chapter 16 verse 23, Second 00:38:51.40\00:38:55.53 Samuel 16:23, shows a kind of mind set that 00:38:55.53\00:39:01.90 was concerning Ahithophel. Now the advice of 00:39:01.90\00:39:04.90 Ahithophel, which he gave in those days was as 00:39:05.13\00:39:08.90 one who inquired at the auricle of God. 00:39:08.90\00:39:12.16 So, taken to Ahithophel in the minds of David 00:39:14.16\00:39:17.20 and his co-hosts was like getting advice from 00:39:17.20\00:39:20.33 God himself. When Ahithophel spoke 00:39:20.33\00:39:23.36 everybody listened, are you listening to me. 00:39:24.06\00:39:26.16 Ahithophel was honored, he was a talk to, 00:39:26.73\00:39:31.06 he was counseled with, he was right there from 00:39:31.30\00:39:34.30 right there with David, I rather suspect that 00:39:35.20\00:39:38.46 David didn't ask his advice about his 00:39:38.46\00:39:40.60 granddaughter. But my point is Satan couldn't 00:39:40.60\00:39:46.06 have move David to have an affair with a worst 00:39:46.06\00:39:50.06 person then Bathsheba couldn't he. It would be 00:39:50.06\00:39:54.60 like George Bush or Barack Obama trying to 00:39:54.60\00:39:57.73 have an affair with Nancy Pelosi or Condalisa 00:39:57.73\00:40:03.00 Rice. I mean good night David did you think 00:40:03.00\00:40:06.13 nobody would notice. Granted the Bible says 00:40:06.33\00:40:14.00 she was beautiful very beautiful, but she was 00:40:14.33\00:40:18.56 beautiful and married and well connected. 00:40:18.80\00:40:24.30 Bathsheba was no backstreet baby mama 00:40:24.50\00:40:27.26 because of her standing she was easily one of 00:40:29.46\00:40:31.93 the most high profile woman in the entire 00:40:31.93\00:40:34.50 kingdom. There was no way that was going to 00:40:34.50\00:40:36.93 be secret. Satan couldn't have picked a worst 00:40:36.93\00:40:42.90 person for David to cast his eyes upon beautiful 00:40:42.90\00:40:46.50 and married and well connected and you know 00:40:46.50\00:40:51.00 the story. Lust abuse of power, a one night 00:40:51.00\00:40:57.80 stand, inflagranti delicto adultery. In James 00:40:57.80\00:41:05.66 chapter 1 verse 15 says then after desire has 00:41:05.66\00:41:09.46 conceived and gives birth to sin and sin 00:41:09.46\00:41:13.00 wanted to fully grown gives birth to death and 00:41:13.00\00:41:18.60 because David saw something he had no right 00:41:18.60\00:41:21.00 to see desired something he had no right to want 00:41:21.00\00:41:24.86 was given something he had no right to take a 00:41:25.80\00:41:29.36 life was conceived that night and so was death. 00:41:29.36\00:41:33.33 And a good man and a loyal soldier had to die 00:41:35.40\00:41:39.76 to cover up a sin and the Bible says death bring 00:41:41.36\00:41:46.26 it for death. God said in Second Samuel chapter 00:41:46.26\00:41:51.56 12 verse 13 David God has taken away your sin, 00:41:51.56\00:41:56.40 I forgiven you, but because you dug my name 00:41:58.10\00:42:02.70 made me a laughing stock 00:42:02.70\00:42:03.66 before this people, your child is going to die. 00:42:07.16\00:42:10.60 And what was David's response same as 00:42:15.00\00:42:18.30 Hezekiah's response. He wept, he cry, 00:42:18.30\00:42:22.26 he prayed, he begged that's normal. When you 00:42:22.63\00:42:27.80 love a child what is not normal is his response to 00:42:27.80\00:42:34.66 the response. Now is the sermon. Let's found the 00:42:34.66\00:42:40.96 Second Samuel chapter 12 verse 19 to 21, 00:42:40.96\00:42:44.73 Second Samuel 12, 19 to 21. 00:42:44.73\00:42:45.70 When David saw his servants whispering, 00:43:00.30\00:43:02.00 he perceived that the child was dead therefore 00:43:03.06\00:43:06.16 David said to his servants, Is the child dead? 00:43:06.16\00:43:08.20 And they said, He is dead. So, David arose from 00:43:08.20\00:43:11.63 the ground, and washed, and anointed himself, 00:43:11.63\00:43:13.50 and changed his clothes, and went into the 00:43:13.50\00:43:15.60 house of the LORD, and worshipped then he 00:43:15.60\00:43:18.63 went to his own house, when he requested he 00:43:18.63\00:43:21.30 has had food before them and ate. 00:43:21.30\00:43:23.16 Then a servant said to him, what is this that you 00:43:24.46\00:43:27.30 have done? What are you doing? You have 00:43:27.30\00:43:33.96 fasted and wept for the child, while he was 00:43:33.96\00:43:37.53 alive; but when the child dead you arose and ate 00:43:37.53\00:43:44.26 food. What are you doing? And he said while 00:43:44.26\00:43:52.86 the child was alive, I fasted and wept for I 00:43:52.86\00:43:58.53 sake who can tell whether the Lord will be 00:43:58.53\00:44:04.76 gracious to me that the child may live, 00:44:04.76\00:44:08.96 but now he is dead why should I fast, 00:44:10.36\00:44:14.50 can I bring him back again, I shall go to him, 00:44:18.63\00:44:23.36 but he shall not return to me. David makes an 00:44:25.80\00:44:30.80 incredibly powerful point. David is saying God 00:44:30.80\00:44:39.00 has shown me his will. It is now my job to work 00:44:40.66\00:44:49.53 in the will of God. You see ladies and 00:44:50.50\00:44:55.70 gentlemen our job, our duty to God and 00:44:55.70\00:45:00.76 ourselves is to accept and follow God's will and 00:45:00.76\00:45:07.96 way particularly in these last days. Amen. 00:45:07.96\00:45:11.80 Even if it makes no sense to you. 00:45:12.90\00:45:17.90 Amen. Our job is to follow God wherever he lives, 00:45:17.90\00:45:25.46 the secret is trust in God ladies and gentlemen. 00:45:26.70\00:45:29.06 The secret is surrender. I dare say no Christian 00:45:30.26\00:45:33.73 will ever be content until he makes a full 00:45:33.73\00:45:36.86 surrender to God. You wonder why some 00:45:37.10\00:45:41.30 church members are so miserable. You got some 00:45:41.30\00:45:47.13 folk, who really love the Lord it shows all over 00:45:47.13\00:45:49.13 their faces and you got some folk, who are just 00:45:49.13\00:45:52.46 biting time they are miserable. They enters 00:45:53.00\00:45:57.60 every Sabbath miserable. You know what I mean? 00:45:57.60\00:46:02.03 How you doing? Oh! Jesus. 00:46:03.40\00:46:06.70 Miserable, no blessings, no joy, singing out of 00:46:11.10\00:46:15.93 the Saturday night, I hate focus 00:46:15.93\00:46:17.23 sing out this Saturday. 00:46:17.23\00:46:18.20 Miserable, miserable why because you are 00:46:23.33\00:46:26.60 trying to whole valid passports in two countries 00:46:26.60\00:46:28.90 cannot be done you got to surrender one or you 00:46:32.70\00:46:36.20 gonna be miserable, the worst christian I've ever 00:46:36.20\00:46:38.76 seen are those who trying to serve the Lord and 00:46:38.76\00:46:40.80 said cannot be done. You got to make full 00:46:40.80\00:46:45.66 surrender, you got to trust him. no back seat 00:46:45.96\00:46:52.13 driving. Let Jesus get behind a will then you 00:46:52.13\00:46:58.13 want to tell him how to drive, oh! Jesus make a 00:46:58.13\00:47:01.30 left, Jesus slow down, oh! little fast pass him 00:47:01.30\00:47:05.80 Jesus. Can we take a smoother row with him, 00:47:05.80\00:47:13.03 have the shocks on his car to bumping 00:47:13.03\00:47:15.33 and a crux the nexus of the Christian experience 00:47:19.70\00:47:22.66 is trusting in God regardless availability. 00:47:24.03\00:47:30.63 Not questioning him, but once you knows the 00:47:32.33\00:47:35.76 will of God to follow unhesitatingly and 00:47:35.76\00:47:39.40 unquestioningly. And in his last days of secret 00:47:39.63\00:47:44.90 of our success is going to be trusting in God for 00:47:44.90\00:47:49.93 our very lie. In fact your life done your 00:47:49.93\00:47:53.73 Christian life doesn't really begin till you 00:47:53.73\00:47:56.70 trust in Jesus. Amen. 00:47:56.70\00:47:58.70 You can't argue with God for several reasons. 00:48:00.40\00:48:03.26 One you can't see tomorrow. 00:48:04.50\00:48:07.20 God knows what is gonna happen tomorrow you 00:48:11.30\00:48:15.73 don't so you can't argue with God because you 00:48:16.20\00:48:20.93 can't see tomorrow let alone control tomorrow. 00:48:20.93\00:48:24.26 Secondly you can argue with God because you 00:48:27.43\00:48:31.76 cannot determine the long range consequences 00:48:32.06\00:48:35.26 of your action. Once the young Pastor 00:48:35.50\00:48:42.23 Halloween bought a Datsun 280Z same as I had 00:48:43.10\00:48:48.66 in my first evangelistic crusade feeling 00:48:48.66\00:48:50.63 particularly close to the Lord. I said while I'm 00:48:50.63\00:48:56.80 single and a young Pastor I'm get me a sports 00:48:56.80\00:48:58.76 car so I bought one blue man I think with fast 00:48:58.76\00:49:02.76 $1200 in tickets, paid $700 a month for shows. 00:49:03.93\00:49:17.50 Say you gonna go with time you cannot 00:49:20.76\00:49:26.46 determine the consequences of your actions. 00:49:26.46\00:49:29.30 All Hezekiah did he just wanted to live, 00:49:29.76\00:49:32.83 he didn't know he was gonna aside the worst 00:49:33.60\00:49:35.70 king in a history of that country. David saw little 00:49:35.70\00:49:42.43 flesh and no idea that was going to lead to 00:49:42.66\00:49:47.20 adultery, murder, rape, incest, years later his 00:49:47.20\00:49:51.73 son Ammon rapes his daughter Tamar. David 00:49:51.73\00:49:54.00 can't say a thing because he killed a man to get 00:49:54.00\00:49:56.06 his wife and so since he doesn't do anything 00:49:56.06\00:49:59.76 Absalom murders Amnon, Joab murders 00:50:01.60\00:50:03.66 Absalom, Ahithophel plots against David then 00:50:03.86\00:50:06.36 kills himself all because David couldn't control 00:50:06.36\00:50:09.50 himself. You don't know the long range action 00:50:09.50\00:50:12.53 consequences of your actions. How can we 00:50:13.06\00:50:16.03 think to argue with God. You don't know what 00:50:16.03\00:50:19.80 God knows. You know my father's old school 00:50:19.80\00:50:22.60 just before he would get the belt out he would 00:50:22.60\00:50:25.40 say, boy you don't know nothing. 00:50:25.40\00:50:28.20 And I could hear God say that to us sometimes 00:50:32.53\00:50:34.43 you don't know nothing, you don't know what I 00:50:35.70\00:50:38.66 know. You can't see what I see, so how can you 00:50:38.66\00:50:41.93 argue with me. I know what's best for you, 00:50:41.93\00:50:45.33 you see true religion comes ladies and 00:50:45.33\00:50:47.43 gentlemen when you are willing to trust God 00:50:47.43\00:50:49.33 with your money, your time, your life, 00:50:49.33\00:50:51.26 your wife, your health, your car, your home 00:50:51.26\00:50:53.53 everything you have and once God has given 00:50:54.86\00:50:59.73 you his will for you to stand there and say God 00:50:59.73\00:51:03.40 would ever you want that's what I gave you. 00:51:03.40\00:51:05.46 Remember that's at the very beginning, the very 00:51:07.70\00:51:09.83 beginning when you have a disagreement what's 00:51:09.83\00:51:13.50 your job? What's your job? To totally 00:51:13.50\00:51:18.80 understand the other person's point of view 00:51:19.00\00:51:22.80 didn't I said that as the premise for everything I 00:51:23.43\00:51:25.66 have said. Before you disagree with God you 00:51:25.66\00:51:30.20 got to totally understand God's point of view 00:51:30.20\00:51:32.90 and when you totally familiarize yourself with 00:51:34.36\00:51:36.93 God's point of view I guarantee you, 00:51:37.16\00:51:39.83 you'll be on God's side. Amen. 00:51:39.83\00:51:42.56 The reason we have arguments with God is 00:51:44.26\00:51:47.56 because we haven't taken enough time to 00:51:47.56\00:51:50.10 familiarize ourselves with God's point of view, 00:51:50.10\00:51:53.66 heaven point of view. I know what I think my 00:51:54.16\00:52:01.63 job is to find out what is God think and I dare 00:52:01.63\00:52:05.20 say when you find out what God thinks you'll 00:52:05.20\00:52:06.80 think like God thinks. Like my dear departed 00:52:06.80\00:52:12.76 dad boy you don't know nothing, I got to know 00:52:12.76\00:52:18.23 and you can argue with God until you know 00:52:19.76\00:52:22.53 what God knows and when you know what God 00:52:22.53\00:52:25.70 knows you won't argue with God. Isaiah 55:8 00:52:25.70\00:52:31.16 my thoughts are not your thoughts, my way is 00:52:31.66\00:52:33.10 not your ways, higher is yours or mines. 00:52:33.10\00:52:34.80 First Corinthians 13:12 we see through a glass 00:52:36.90\00:52:39.20 darkly. I note you looking that, God knows see 00:52:39.40\00:52:45.33 you got to follow. Ladies and gentlemen in 00:52:45.33\00:52:49.10 these last days there is nothing you can trust, 00:52:49.10\00:52:53.33 nothing you can't even trust yourself, can't, 00:52:55.50\00:53:00.36 you got to trust Jesus. Amen. 00:53:02.20\00:53:04.26 And your trust in Jesus will be tested, 00:53:04.90\00:53:08.06 your metal will be tested everything about you 00:53:08.06\00:53:11.96 will be tested you will go through fiery trial. 00:53:11.96\00:53:14.70 The Bible says think it not strange concerning 00:53:14.96\00:53:19.73 the fiery trial, which is to try you. So, you're 00:53:19.73\00:53:23.60 gonna have to lean on Jesus like never before 00:53:23.60\00:53:26.50 and even when it doesn't make sense. You know 00:53:27.96\00:53:29.90 really it the truth is this you never know Jesus is 00:53:29.90\00:53:33.40 all you need until Jesus is all you got and some 00:53:33.40\00:53:39.36 of us are gonna to get strip down, strip down 00:53:39.36\00:53:43.33 and all you going to have is Jesus and at that 00:53:44.00\00:53:47.10 point you will realize all I ever needed was 00:53:47.10\00:53:51.16 Jesus, Amen. All I ever wanted was Jesus. 00:53:51.16\00:53:57.43 Ladies and gentlemen, I guarantee it's gonna 00:53:59.00\00:54:00.46 come, we can't argue with God. Amen. 00:54:00.46\00:54:04.70 How dare we argue with God. In fact, 00:54:04.70\00:54:08.36 our salvation hinges upon our total surrender 00:54:08.36\00:54:13.56 and trust to God. The question is never been 00:54:13.56\00:54:17.86 can we trust God, you kidding? The question is 00:54:20.90\00:54:27.56 can God trust us, can God lean on us? 00:54:27.56\00:54:32.83 Will we be there when God's needs us in a few 00:54:34.40\00:54:39.83 hours many of us will be going home, we'll get 00:54:39.83\00:54:42.90 in our cars, buses, motor homes and we'll ahead 00:54:42.90\00:54:48.36 back to various places and God is looking for 00:54:48.36\00:54:52.60 you to carry his light wherever you go can he 00:54:52.60\00:54:58.36 trust you? Are you finished arguing with him? 00:54:58.36\00:55:03.36 When God calls you gonna say here am I send 00:55:05.10\00:55:09.86 me, take my money, take my time, take my 00:55:09.86\00:55:17.26 talent, take my all and use it, I'm not gonna 00:55:17.26\00:55:23.46 argue with you anymore, I'm gonna serve you. 00:55:23.46\00:55:27.70 Someone said to me just a couple of weeks ago, 00:55:29.86\00:55:31.36 I've got some money in the bank and I'm 00:55:31.86\00:55:37.80 wondering if I should give it to 3ABN and I'm 00:55:38.30\00:55:43.70 waiting for God to tell me. I said I'm the voice 00:55:43.70\00:55:47.60 of God give it up. 00:55:47.60\00:55:48.56 And I told him don't argue with God you do 00:55:57.16\00:56:01.10 what God says to you. Well, God is making that 00:56:01.10\00:56:04.43 same call to you could be your money, could be 00:56:04.43\00:56:08.66 your time, could be your talent, could be all of 00:56:08.66\00:56:12.13 above, but God is saying stop arguing, 00:56:12.13\00:56:17.10 start following, start surrendering and you'll be 00:56:18.50\00:56:24.96 the happiest people in the world. 00:56:24.96\00:56:27.83 Amen. The question is not can you argue with God, 00:56:27.83\00:56:32.23 yeah you can. Question is should you argue with 00:56:33.06\00:56:37.06 God, no you shouldn't because God knows 00:56:37.06\00:56:41.56 yesterday, today and forever and his got that 00:56:41.56\00:56:46.13 waiting for you.
