Amen. 06:30 Good morning. Good morning. 06:32 It is a pleasure to be with you here this morning. 06:35 I trust you had a good rest. 06:38 Are you ready for a Bible Study? 06:40 Yes. Well, that's what I think the Lord has in 06:42 store for us this morning and so I hope you 06:45 brought your Bibles with you today 06:47 because you're going to need to use them. 06:50 I was trying to, well I was praying, 06:54 and I said Lord what do you want me 06:57 to share today with your people 07:01 and as you know this has been a year of prayer, 07:03 and my hope is that you, 07:06 the God's people that his saints have been 07:09 praying this year. Have you been praying? 07:11 Yes. Praise the Lord. You know, 07:14 I'm trying to in my own life create more, 07:17 some more prayer list to and things that 07:20 I can do to influence my attention to prayer 07:24 and my prayer is that you do that as well 07:26 in your life because all that more also so much 07:30 more important as the day we are drawing 07:34 very close the day to the Lord returned 07:36 and I just pray that you are appealing to him 07:39 as your Lord and savior today. 07:42 Will you bow your heads with me 07:43 as we begin with prayer, father in heaven 07:45 I pray for your special blessing here today. 07:49 First of all that you would speak through me 07:51 that it would be your words and not my own, 07:53 this is your message. The Lord also that 07:56 you would open the hearts of your people 07:59 even when we have trouble holding back 08:01 and keeping it somewhat close that you would 08:03 open our hearts and speaks straight to us, 08:07 we pray in Jesus name amen. Amen. 08:12 Some of the most important words 08:15 that someone can share with friends, 08:18 with family, or often shared 08:22 when they are about to die. 08:25 Now, isn't this a bit of shame that we wait 08:28 till our closing days on earth 08:31 to share some words that we really 08:34 have been to share for a long, long time, 08:37 but you know what just, 08:39 it's just something that we do 08:41 when we sense our life drawing to a close 08:43 we just feel compelled, 08:45 our heart is moved to share with our friends 08:48 and family something that would encourage them, 08:51 something that would help them, 08:53 if we are, once we are gone 08:56 and you know this is no different 08:59 with Jesus in his life, 09:02 as his days drew to that time 09:05 or he knew he would be crucified 09:07 and taking from his disciples he shared 09:10 some very encouraging words with them. 09:13 And this although what happened two million ago, 09:18 I believe that the audience 09:20 the intended audience that we read 09:22 in scripture is not just the disciples 09:25 who are with him those closing days 09:27 but you know brothers and sisters it was us. 09:30 Amen. As you read these words, 09:33 these words are meant for you and for me. 09:38 And if Jesus felt moved to share these words 09:41 at the closing days of his life, 09:45 his life on this earth, 09:46 don't you think we have to listen 09:47 to what those words might be? 09:49 Amen. I invite you to turn with me to Luke Chapter 21, 09:54 Luke Chapter 21 and as you turning there 09:59 I want to ask you a question if Jesus 10:00 brought you into his presence 10:04 and he said word similar to this 10:06 to you I want to tell you something, 10:08 I want to give you some council about 10:11 something specific that you need to do 10:13 to ensure that you survive in the last days, 10:17 the troubles that are coming upon 10:18 this earth would you listen? 10:20 Yes amen. Would you listen up? 10:23 Amen. Would you say you know this is 10:25 something I've got to hear? 10:27 Let me tell you brothers and sisters this is 10:29 something we all need to hear, 10:32 Luke Chapter 21 beginning with verse 34, 10:36 verse 34, "but take heed to yourselves, 10:41 lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, 10:44 and drunkenness", you know most of us 10:47 don't struggle with those things, 10:50 at least we don't think we do, 10:53 you now, hopefully if the heart 10:54 or the spirit of God is drawing us to him 10:56 he starting to put away those carousing ways 10:59 those drunken parties which, believe me, 11:03 I've been a part of in my past 11:05 praise the Lord for his deliverance. Amen. 11:08 But you know the next thing we'll catch 11:10 kind of all of us, the cares of this life. 11:16 You know we all get caught up with the cares 11:18 of this life and the Lord is saying I don't want 11:21 you to be weighed down by the cares of this life 11:24 and that day come upon you unexpectedly, 11:27 speaking of the day of Christ, verse 35, 11:30 For it will come as a snare on all those 11:34 who dwell on the face of the earth, 11:37 watch therefore, now listen to this 11:39 verse 36 carefully, watchful therefore 11:42 and do what, pray always 11:47 that you may be counted worthy to escape 11:49 all these things that will come to past 11:52 and stand before the Son of Man." 11:56 Some important words I believe for us today 11:58 several times Christ repeated these words 12:00 to his disciples I want you to watch 12:03 and I want you to pray amen. Amen. 12:06 And again we know after upper room supper 12:10 Christ took his disciples down of the garden 12:12 with him and Mathew 26 verse 41 records 12:16 these words again the words of Christ 12:19 encouraging his disciples watch and pray 12:22 unless you enter into temptation 12:25 the spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak. 12:32 You know as I've contemplated 12:34 the challenges that the disciples faced prior 12:37 to that test of Christ to being taken him 12:42 being tried and in crucified 12:45 the more I look at those experiences that they 12:48 each went through a come to realize that they 12:51 resemble so closely the experiences of 12:55 what God's people real endure at the end of time. 13:01 And instead if you remember the story 13:03 correctly instead of watching and praying 13:05 in the garden that night 13:08 what that his disciples do? 13:11 They slept. 13:13 They slept. Jesus said won't you just 13:17 stand with me in prayer tonight 13:20 I need your prayer you need your prayer 13:24 and they couldn't do it. They fell asleep, 13:30 you know after all if we're going to parallel 13:32 this two struggles of God's people in the last days 13:35 what would we fine that the parable of the 13:38 ten versions tells us about God's people. 13:40 Amen. Aren't they sleeping? Yes. 13:45 Well I believe that, that parable is that 13:47 necessarily supposed to be a self filling prophecy. 13:50 I think it supposed to be a wake up 13:52 call for God's people. Amen. 13:54 Instead of sleeping we need to be watching and praying. 13:58 And you know here is another thing as last day 14:04 Christians seventh day Adventist who are looking 14:07 for the soon appearing of Christ 14:10 we do a very good job I think too degree 14:13 a pretty good job of watching. Yes. 14:19 We are called to be watchmen on the walls 14:22 to sound and announce the Lord soon return 14:24 and I believe that our preachers, out teachers, 14:28 our pastors and all our people are doing a 14:31 pretty good job of watching, 14:35 but I cannot say the same about praying. 14:39 Alright. Will you fess up with me today? 14:45 You see watching is only half the council 14:47 Jesus gave his disciples and his giving us. 14:51 He has counseled us to pray always. 14:56 And I believe if the disciples failed in the faith 15:00 failed the test because they did not pray could be 15:03 brothers and sisters could it be that we could 15:06 fail the test if we are not on our knees praying. 15:09 Yes we. We all love the thought of Jesus 15:15 standing to defend his people at the end of time. 15:17 Don't you love that picture end of the time 15:20 Michael were stand up, 15:24 but you know sometimes it's' strikes me that 15:27 as he was standing up for us 15:30 and sooner will stand up for us 15:32 why don't we why can't we stand up 15:36 for him and for others in prayer. Amen. 15:41 Well I can confesses a pastor I don't pray 15:43 is often as I should can you admit that? 15:47 Yes. I don't think all of us would say 15:49 you know what I pray plenty enough. 15:53 I think you are in dangerous position 15:54 if you ever get this at point I pray enough. 15:57 I need to pray more and what you'll find 16:01 in this message today 16:03 is that the book of Revelation 16:05 is actually calling us to prayer. Amen. 16:10 You gonna have to look hard 16:13 but you'll find the Book Of Revelation 16:15 repeat especially the passages 16:17 we're talking about today 16:18 with a call to God's people to be 16:20 on their knees praying. 16:25 So I entitled this message today 16:26 standing with Christ God's last day prayer warriors. 16:32 Do want to be a prayer warrior? 16:34 Yes amen. I believe his calling all of us to 16:36 prayer today. 16:40 I love studying the Book of Revelation 16:41 all of us do I think, you know, watching 16:44 some instinct in us 16:46 and as I've been searching it's pages looking 16:49 for looking for something to share with each of 16:53 you on prayer I believe the Lord bless 16:57 in a very special way in a way that I had never 16:59 seen or thought about prayer before 17:01 you want to see it. Amen. 17:03 Turn with me in your Bibles to Revelation chapter 6, 17:08 Revelation chapter 6 and we're going to read 17:11 specifically one passage in Revelation 6 17:14 as you know Revelation 6 is about the seven 17:17 seals actually six of them the seventh appears 17:20 at the at the end of after chapter 7 17:25 at he beginning of chapter 8, 17:30 but we're going to read to 9 or from verse 9 17:33 through verse 11. 17:36 Now this passage has been difficult for us the times, 17:41 common fess up you who have been doing 17:44 bible studies with your neighbors or your friends 17:47 or those who have been interested in knowing 17:49 what the Bible says about the variety of topics 17:52 is there exploring the relationship with God. 17:54 We've all struggle with this passage almost 17:57 wondering a why is it here he? 18:00 But is I want to read it for you here 18:03 and then spend sometime today talking about it 18:06 verse 9 of revelation chapter 6 18:08 when he open the 5 seal I saw 18:13 under the alter the souls of those who had been 18:16 slain for the word of God and for the Testimony 18:19 which they held and they cried with 18:22 a loud voice saying how long o Lord 18:25 Holy and true until you judge in avenge our blood 18:30 on those who dwell on the earth. 18:34 Verse 11 then a white robe was given to each of them 18:37 and it was set to them that they should rest 18:39 a little while longer until both the number 18:42 of their fellow servants and their brothering 18:45 who would be killed as they were was completed. 18:52 This 5th seal has post challenges because 18:56 if reading it just on the surfaces seems to 18:59 contradict was scripture clearly tells us 19:01 and that as when you die you don't have a soul 19:04 apart form the body you are a soul and when you die 19:08 you rest in the grave until the coming of the Lord. 19:12 So why does this depict the souls on to the 19:15 altar crying out to God. 19:20 First of all we can't miss the fact 19:22 that this is the altar if incense. 19:27 These are prayers from the moderate saints over 19:33 the ages over the past 12,60 years in time. 19:38 Now you, if you read all the seven seals 19:40 the first four are commonly known as 19:42 the four horsemen right 19:47 and we understand as Seventh Day 19:49 Adventist Christians that those four horsemen 19:51 depict the mission being carried out by the church 19:57 of sharing the Gospel wit the entire world 20:01 and in response to that rejection of that 20:03 message by a great portion of that world 20:06 and the judgment stead result. 20:09 But then all the sudden we get to this 5th seal 20:12 and the topic completely changes 20:14 give a wonder why in fact in this 5th seal 20:19 nothing really is happening 20:22 nothings is happening to the earth 20:23 there doesn't seem to be any judgments 20:25 in fact in the 6th seal judgment is continue 20:29 so something is going on with the 5th seal. 20:33 We've got to ask ourselves what is the Lord 20:37 trying to teach us. Amen! Amen. 20:41 Because we know that there are souls can find under 20:43 the alter just crying out to God Lord 20:46 when will you avenge us there, there yet. 20:51 So something else we've been missing 20:55 and I believe that you understand a little bit 20:57 more today what that missing part 20:59 is when we're done. 21:05 After the 1260 years of persecution 21:09 the period of time where millions of Christians 21:11 were murdered, I believe that Jesus heart 21:15 was moved with compassion 21:20 it was predicted he knew his people would suffer 21:23 persecution and they have, they've been moderate 21:26 to great degree and Jesus is up there 21:30 without the companionship now 21:32 of those who've stood for the right 21:34 in spite of opposition 21:39 and so this text uses the inanimate 21:41 to describe something incredibly personal to him 21:45 understand where we're going. 21:47 Amen yes. The prayers of his saints who determined 21:51 to keep their faith on this times of terrible 21:54 crises are something that Jesus could never forget. 22:00 Their cry still echo in his mind. 22:03 In fact, David, the sonnet says at this way 22:07 I'm reading from Psalm 9 verse 12 22:11 that when God avenge his blood it says 22:13 he remembers them, 22:16 he does not forget the cry of the humble. 22:22 Now God could never forget 22:24 we've been read in the Book of Genesis 22:26 after the very first murder 22:28 that Jesus appears to king 22:30 and what does he say to king? 22:34 He says what have you done, 22:36 the voice of your brothers blood does what, 22:39 cries out to me from the ground. 22:44 Now because we know that there are not 22:47 modders under the, the alter there in heaven 22:50 because we know that the modders to heaven lived 22:53 on there has been no resurrection yet 22:55 we must conclude that God is teaching us 22:58 that he does not forget the prayers of his people. 23:01 Amen. Although he may not answer 23:05 their prayer according to how they would like 23:08 it done his heart is moved with 23:11 compassion for his people. Amen. 23:15 And at this day even after they are gone 23:17 at this point and time he is still moved 23:22 as if those prayers were being held there by the 23:25 alter mixed with the righteousness of Christ 23:28 ready to be answered when the time is right. 23:35 I've got to ask you 23:39 where do you think your prayers go? 23:43 What do you think your prayers 23:45 do to the heart of God, 23:48 when you pour out your heart to him 23:50 and you ask him for deliverance 23:52 whether it would be for yourself or 23:53 your loved one a family member, a spouse, 23:56 a son or a daughter maybe a straight from 23:58 the face when you pour out your heart to God 24:02 and he doesn't give you an answer right away 24:06 what happens to those prayers? 24:08 I want to assure you today that he is not forgotten. 24:12 Amen. He will always remember your prayers 24:18 and then encourages me to pray more. 24:22 I mean if every prayer I pray 24:26 a sends before God's throne 24:28 mixed with Christ righteousness 24:31 to be answered at the time he sees fit 24:33 I want to pray as much as I can 24:37 even though I mean I'll see results right away. 24:43 Wow, when you know in this cry for vengeance 24:49 this cry for vengeance these modders are 24:53 appealing to God to save them Lord help 24:57 and he didn't but it didn't mean that he didn't care. 25:01 Amen. Because he still sees, 25:05 he still hears those prayers. 25:10 In fact they trust him so much they committed 25:13 all judgment in vengeance to him 25:15 after all he is the Lord that says 25:17 vengeance is mine I will repay right. Amen. 25:24 Listen to this, 25:25 from manuscript releases 20 page 198, 25:28 we have every evidence that the humble 25:31 contrive prayer offered to God is regarded 25:33 as precious in his sight not one is lost. Amen. 25:42 Now this is a message about prayer, 25:49 but also it comes with it some complications 25:52 because Revelation can be a struggle 25:55 to understand at times amen. Amen. 25:58 So I want you to go back now with me 26:00 to the Book of Revelation 26:03 and I want you to listen to this 26:09 this court from inspiration that kind of gives us 26:12 some inside is to the timing of this 5th seal. 26:15 You see we've already seen at the four horsemen 26:17 which represent the church in sharing the gospel 26:20 on the persecution that comes from the modders 26:22 that suffer for those 1260 years 26:25 and then now this transition during this 26:27 5th seal letting us know that God to God 26:30 our prayers and the prayers of his modders 26:32 are important to him. 26:34 but then we find in the 6th seal 26:38 something that were you noted on as far as 26:40 what the 6th seal is telling us 26:43 which is the time of trouble. 26:47 So the 5th seal tense seems to be this transition 26:49 from for former Erin to the time of trouble. 26:58 In fact by the time we get to Revelation Chapter 19 27:02 and the verse chapter 19 what's in chapter 19 27:06 the return of Christ by the time we get 27:08 there we read this in verses 1 and 2 27:10 if your have your Bibles still turn with me 27:11 Revelation 19:1 and 2 after these things 27:15 I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in 27:17 heaven saying Halleluiah Salvation and Glory 27:22 and Honor and Power belong to the Lord 27:24 our God for true and righteous 27:26 are his judgments because he has judged 27:29 the great harlage who corrupted the earth 27:30 with their fornication and listen to these words 27:33 he has avenged on her the blood 27:36 of his servants shed by her. 27:39 What is happened by the time 27:40 you get to Revelation 19? 27:43 Judgment and vengeance has been completed 27:47 beautiful picture, but listen to this 27:51 servant of the Lord manuscript release 20 27:54 again page 14 listen what she says 27:58 when the 5th seal was opened 28:00 John the Revelator invasion saw beneath the altar 28:04 the company that were slain for the word of God 28:06 and the testimony of Jesus Christ 28:09 after this came to seems described 28:12 in the 18th chapter of Revelation 28:18 when those who are faithful and true 28:20 are called out from Babylon. 28:24 Amazing, she puts the 5th seal 28:28 just before the loud cry did you see it? 28:30 Yeah. What is that tell you about how important our 28:33 prayers are before the loud cry, 28:37 if we acknowledges or if his heart moved by 28:40 the prayers of his modders throughout history 28:43 how do you think he is going to be moved 28:45 by God's last stay people praying to him 28:47 that God would save, save the lost. 28:51 Amen. Isn't that would our mission is? 28:54 Amen. Redemption for the lost 28:57 God's last stay people sharing the Gospel 28:59 with the world Jesus is about to come 29:03 enter into his Salvation. 29:07 Wow, but notice now we're going back to the 5th seal 29:12 got to kept it moving I 29:13 see don't have a lot of time 29:15 Revelation Chapter 6, but we're going to spend 29:17 some time on verse 11 here 29:20 you want to get somewhere insiders 29:21 to what's going on in this 5th seal, 29:25 which is this apparent transition time 29:28 form the persecution before 29:29 to the time of trouble persecution later. 29:34 Verse 11 then I white robe was given to each of them 29:39 remember they've been crying for vengeance 29:41 they've been crying for justice 29:43 a white robe was given each of them and 29:45 it would set to them that they should rest 29:47 a little while longer until both the number 29:49 of their fellow servants and their brothering 29:53 who would killed as they were was completed. 29:57 You see when they were crying out to God, 29:59 God did not deliver them immediately 30:01 he told them they had to rest, 30:06 they had to wait and those words 30:09 wait resting are so similar. 30:13 In fact rest is a bitter description of 30:15 what waiting on the Lord really means right. 30:20 Come on we've all been there 30:24 waiting for the Lord to respond. 30:27 And you know we believe in the Sabbath, 30:31 a Sabbath day rest where we rest in Christ 30:33 rest in his salvation for us right. 30:35 Amen. How often do we rest while we're waiting 30:39 in urgency for Christ to respond to our prayers? 30:47 You've been there maybe you would there right now. 30:51 something needs to be done now my son my daughter 30:56 there in the world that's going to take them 31:01 my husband is got cancer he is slipping away 31:04 or you got to do something now, 31:08 it's stuff to hear wait when you desperately 31:12 need an answer from the Lord. Amen. 31:15 But notice that the response to rest 31:18 is accepted by the cry who save they will wait 31:22 for God to meet out judgment 31:24 and vengeance according to his well. 31:26 We need to trust we need to rest in God's 31:29 sovereign plan for not only our life 31:33 but for the life of all. Amen. 31:36 In fact those who your praying about 31:38 may not be ready for what you want 31:41 God knows when they are ready. 31:47 Now I want you to notice in this passage 31:49 two specific groups read this very carefully go back 31:53 to verse 11 Revelation 6 verse 11 31:57 they were to rest a little while until both, 32:00 what is both mean? Both. 32:02 Two there is two right. 32:06 Until both the number of their fellow servants, 32:12 number one and their brothering 32:16 who would killed as they were was completed. 32:19 Two things has to happen to two groups both right. 32:25 Now here is the amazing part of the scripture 32:27 that first group the number of their fellow servants 32:30 can also be read as their fellow servants in number. 32:37 When you think of the servants of God being 32:40 numbered in a book of Revelation 32:41 what do you think about? 32:44 The 144,000 just take a look at Revelation 32:47 Chapter 7 the beginning of that were very he calls 32:49 a 144,000 to servants of God right. 32:55 Wait until the number or the number of the fellow 32:58 servants so their fellow servants in number 33:01 are completed and their brothering 33:04 they are not part of the number 33:06 of the fellow servants, 33:07 but their brothering who would be kill 33:09 as they were was completed. 33:11 Let me ask you question according to this verse 33:13 are their going to be modders again? 33:15 Yes. Absolutely, 33:20 but for the grace of God go on amen. Amen. 33:26 I believe not only is God trying to teach us 33:28 that our prayers are important to him 33:31 that the move upon his heart but he also wants 33:33 to teach us that we can trust in him 33:35 no matter what happens. Amen. 33:40 Now I want you to note here that these two groups 33:44 or identified in Revelation Chapter 7, 33:50 in Revelation Chapter 7 after the time of trouble 33:53 the sixth seal there is an interlude almost telling us 33:56 that during the sixth seal time 33:57 they are going to be a couple groups that are 33:59 impacted or at least that we need to 34:02 understand our going to 34:04 our going to be impacted by these events. 34:08 We find of the beginning of that 34:10 or we should have time to read 34:12 we have at the beginning of that the 144,000 34:15 the servants of God then we have the great multitude 34:20 which no one could number 34:22 who would says goes through great tribulation. 34:28 By the way that's a reference to a time such 34:29 as never was the time of trouble those two groups 34:34 at that time come together and then what 34:38 happens I think that the word of God 34:40 is clear then judgment and vengeance can be 34:45 meted out can have set God can move in that way, 34:56 but it's interesting here as we go on 34:58 to Revelation chapter 8 35:00 that we find ourselves back to somewhere familiar 35:04 to all of us now. read with me Revelation 8 35:08 begin with the verse 2 and I saw the seven angles 35:12 who stand before God into them we're given 35:15 seven trumpets then another angels having 35:18 a golden censer came and stood at the what? 35:22 Altar. Altar we are re-back at. 35:25 We are back at the altar of incense aren't we? 35:27 Listen the what happens, 35:29 the stood of the altar he was given much incense 35:32 that he should offer it with the prayers 35:34 of not just the modders this time 35:36 but all of the saints. Amen. 35:39 Upon the Golden Altar which was before 35:41 the throne and the smoke of the incense 35:44 with the prayers of the saints ascended before 35:47 God from the angel's hand 35:49 then the angel took the censer filled it with 35:51 fire form the altar and this time 35:53 instead of just answering he throws it to the earth 35:56 and they were noises thundering, 35:58 lightenings and an earthquake. 36:03 This is exciting because you know what 36:07 the Lord is asking you he is asking me to mingle 36:10 our prayers with those throughout the ages 36:13 who have stood the test of time have stood for 36:16 our faith to pray and appeal and plead 36:20 for God to move upon hearts. Amen. 36:26 Why would he ask why would he become 36:29 before these humping judgments come? 36:31 Why would become back to the altar? 36:33 I believe it's because before the time of trouble 36:36 comes God is calling you he is calling me 36:39 to being engaged in prayer. Amen. 36:45 I don't pray as much as I should. Amen. 36:50 If I accomplish nothing else today 36:52 but to encourage you to pray to be on your knees 36:56 God has finished his work at least today. 37:03 My heart was moved I can tell you honestly 37:07 if there is I put this together I started to think 37:10 and I started to see no way is this true? 37:17 And then my heart begin to think 37:21 because I had to day Lord forgive me 37:23 I have not prayed as I should. Amen. 37:27 Or here my prayer now and you maybe 37:30 praying the same thing here my cry 37:34 here my heart make me a prayer a warrior to stand 37:38 with you in these last days. 37:42 I believe that we spend more time praying 37:47 that we would have more success in what are mission 37:51 is which is to reach the world with a gospel. 37:56 I'm going to read this code for you 37:58 and I want you to think in your own mind 37:59 where this came from. 38:01 okay this is while ago you see the all language. 38:04 The Lord Jesus is the high priest of the church 38:07 having a Golden Censer and much incense fullness 38:11 of married in his own glorious person 38:14 wouldn't that men studied to know the 38:16 fullness that is in Christ and endeavored 38:19 to be aquatinted with his excellency 38:22 with the they were truly persuaded that Christ 38:25 has such an office and that of an inner censer 38:29 which he now performs with deep sympathy. 38:33 No prayers thus recommended was ever 38:36 denied hearing and acceptance. Amen. 38:40 These prayers thus accepted in heaven 38:43 produce great changes upon the earth 38:48 Matthew Henry Commentary. 38:56 You see I believe God's moving his church 38:59 for quite sometime he has been moving his people 39:02 to pray and do understand how important prayer 39:06 is to move the heart of God. 39:10 We don't understand all of it we don't understand 39:12 the details how our prayers can move the heart of God 39:14 that that's what he says. 39:18 Now notice a couple other things I want to kind 39:20 of make this very well rounded as I pull 39:22 it together with regard to the alter of incense 39:25 that were write now in Revelation Chapter 8 39:27 it's says in Hebrews chapter 9 verses 3 and 4 39:35 that the golden censer was part of the most Holy Place. 39:43 Did you know that? it was used daily 39:47 for administrating the fire and the incense 39:49 and then the prayers that were costly setting 39:51 before God but it says here in verses 3 and 4 39:55 behind the second vale the part of the Tabernacle 39:58 which is called the holist of all which have the what? 40:01 Golden censer. Golden censer 40:04 and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides 40:07 with gold in which there was the golden 40:09 pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, 40:11 and the tables of the covenant. 40:14 We find in M.L. Andreasen classic book 40:18 the sanctuary service that has we read the Old 40:22 Testament descriptions of this altar incense 40:26 and in the golden censer with it, 40:28 he says here that why located in the holy place 40:32 it "belonged" here, used by revised 40:36 to inter version, to the most Holy 40:39 and that is generally considered the correct 40:41 rendering did you understand this? I didn't. 40:45 We therefore understand the statement of 40:47 Exodus 30 verse 6, to be that the altar of incense 40:50 was located before the vail in the Holy 40:52 Place before the Mercy Seat, 40:54 but that it's use was such that it is in certain 40:57 sense belonged to the Most Holy. 41:01 And we see the in example of that 41:04 turn with me the numbers I told you, 41:05 you used Bibles are big today 41:07 numbers chapter 16 41:09 beginning with the verse 43 41:15 number 16 verse 43 speaking of our God's people 41:20 the Israelites were complaint against Moses 41:24 and Erin and it really having a tough time 41:26 with their leadership in fact wanting to pull off 41:28 a cue to replace them. 41:31 Well it says here picking it up in verse 43 41:33 that Moses and Erin and can be for the 41:36 tabernacle of needing and the Lord spoke to Moses 41:39 saying get away from among this congregation 41:41 that I may consume them in a moment 41:45 and they fell on their faces that is Moses 41:47 and Erin fell on their faces so Moses and Erin 41:51 in sit there and take the censer and put fire 41:53 in it from the Altar put incense on it 41:55 and take a quickly to the congregation 41:57 and make what? Atonement. 42:00 Atonement for them and now look what's happening. 42:05 For wrath has gone out form 42:08 the Lord the plaque has what? Began. 42:11 Began then Erin took it as Moses commended 42:15 and ran in the midst of the assembly in it 42:17 already the plaque had began among the people 42:20 so he put the incense and made atonement for the 42:22 people so he stood between the dead and the living 42:25 so the plaque was what stopped. 42:33 We didn't spend a lot of time or anytime reading 42:35 Revelation Chapter 7, but if you remember 42:37 or if you read it before you see at the beginning 42:40 there it says that the four wings are being held 42:42 back until the servants of God a number 42:49 are sealed and then what happens 42:52 we can presume before wings are let go 42:56 when the other time shall be begins 42:58 here we find the same context in which the censer 43:02 which had fire put in it that Erin high priest 43:05 it he took it out because plaque story 43:07 and it castled out amongst the people 43:09 to make what atonement for them. 43:14 Isn't that were finding here 43:16 in Revelation Chapter 8 43:19 to censer casting it to the earth 43:22 the spirit of time the people 43:24 of God need atonement. 43:29 It's a transition to this period of atonement 43:31 and we know brothers and sisters that we are living 43:34 in the antitypical day of atonement today. 43:45 For manuscript releases 16 page 269 43:50 inspirations tells us the similar work would 43:52 accomplished when that other angel 43:54 represented in 18 gives his message 43:59 the first second answered angels 44:01 will need to be repeated. 44:05 Now what I would bring that out, 44:08 because you know when we read the first second 44:11 and third angels messages we apply them today 44:13 I only preach in the three angels messages 44:14 I mean common I says 3ABN not only supporters 44:17 but as those who have heard our model for sometime 44:21 we believe in preaching the three angels messages. 44:25 Amen. Well she says during that next angel that loud 44:29 cry angels that they will all be what? 44:31 Repeated. Repeated, repeated. 44:35 That tells me that when you read Revelation 14:7 44:39 fear God and give glory to him for the hour of 44:41 his judgment has come it has not only a 44:46 application with regard to the investigate of judgment 44:49 occurring now but it has a last day application 44:51 in that God's judgment finally 44:53 apart out upon the earth. 44:56 Do you see it? Yes. 44:59 Powerful, powerful. 45:03 But I want to go back to the reason I', 45:05 sharing this message with you today 45:08 and that reason is that God is moved 45:13 with compassion with a personal 45:16 heart fail desire to act when God's people pray 45:22 and prayer is what is depicted prior to the time 45:26 of trouble as the book of revelation describes. 45:32 Do you think we out of be praying. Yeah. 45:39 Don't miss the reason for the time or trouble 45:41 brothers and sisters don't miss the reason 45:43 for the time and trouble 45:46 the time and trouble includes both the early 45:48 time and trouble the probation closing 45:50 and the time of Jacob's trouble when the seven 45:53 last plaques are poured out, 45:56 but that early time and trouble is a time of mercy. 45:59 Can you say with me again? Mercy 46:02 Mercy, Amen! No I look around today 46:05 and I wonder what's going to awake up 46:07 the people of the earth to the time 46:08 and which mean that 46:11 ands then I read the scriptures 46:12 and I see that God has done 46:13 at the same way he always has 46:17 he woke them up through trials and struggles. 46:20 What do you think this last financial crisis 46:23 we've had over the last couple of years 46:25 is intended to do wake us up 46:29 so what is the time the early time and trouble mix 46:31 with mercy what isn't designed to do. 46:33 Wake us up. Wake us up 46:36 then I think maybe the message that were 46:38 preaching so well with God's 46:41 power will have and effect. 46:45 Now it's having in effect don't write me letters 46:47 and say it's not you already having an effect 46:49 yes it is but common let's face it 46:53 doesn't God desire a global 46:55 evangelistic success. Amen. 47:03 But also a time appear when God's read will finish 47:06 the work taken the ever lasting gospel 47:08 the three angels messages to the world. 47:11 A time of that's conversions 47:14 of those who hear and respond 47:15 to the three angels messages 47:17 the greatest time of evangelist 47:19 and the world is ever known. 47:23 Is there any wonder why God is 47:24 asking his people to pray. Amen. 47:28 To pray that we expect to see hearts 47:32 change by the gospel 47:35 during the closing days of worst history. 47:38 Don't you think our greatest need 47:39 is that we beyond our knees 47:42 a pleading for last souls. Amen. 47:46 After isn't it prayer that result in labors 47:49 for the harvest field. 47:51 Pray the Lord of the harvest 47:53 and he will send labors into his field. 47:58 No prayer no harvest. 48:03 Maybe this is what Jesus is waiting for, 48:10 maybe this is what Jesus is waiting for 48:14 that God's people would pray 48:18 and not only just pray but know what their prays do 48:22 what kind of an effected has on God's heart 48:25 to move him to save lost souls. Amen. 48:34 We would like to win an argument 48:38 over doctrine but now we winning a soul 48:43 when I was young I was dogmatic 48:46 someone didn't believe what I thought was Bible truth 48:50 I give you 20 text maybe some 48:53 of you been there. Yeah. 48:54 You want should done 48:56 poured my heart out and pray with that man 48:58 a woman open the scripture shared a few things 49:01 but walked away. Amen. 49:05 Just telling you the way I see it. 49:09 My father understood prayer 49:13 I wouldn't be here today 49:14 unless my father prayed for me. Amen. 49:19 He is passed away he died in 2003 49:23 but years before that about 1991 1992 49:28 I was the world of heavy partying it up 49:33 you know I mean I was in it. 49:36 So I don't want to go back there I'm just telling 49:38 I knew about it not proud of it. Amen. 49:41 But I had the goal to have a party 49:46 yeah it's funny I mean to share this 49:47 and there people are hear that can be saying 49:49 you did that I had a party at PUC 49:53 for Halloween and 50 students came out the party 49:59 next to the president's house. 50:07 I can't believe it. I mean, 50:09 I am shocked by my own, 50:12 you now, by my own actions, 50:15 but I did, you know what, 50:16 my dad could have come down and he could've said 50:18 John stopped and everybody out. 50:20 He did, you know what he did, 50:22 he gone on his knees upstairs 50:25 and he poured out his heart to God for his son. 50:29 And the very night as he was pouring out his heart 50:33 for me I was sitting him the control room 50:37 where the music was bring DJ or as they were 50:41 plugging out the music for the rest of everybody 50:43 outside by French doors who were dancing 50:46 and all of the sudden I heard a voice 50:49 I can tell you it may lot of been audible 50:51 but it was certainly audible in my head 50:53 how much longer would you do this. Amen. 50:58 Are you going to party on until I come 51:02 and I could I could have told you someone 51:06 was stand right next to me 51:08 and my dad kept praying and I heard it again 51:12 how much longer will you persist in doing this 51:16 I've so much better for you Oh 51:20 that was the last drink I ever took. 51:23 Praise God. Amen. 51:25 I put my bear down I sat there with the reality 51:29 of what I just heard I picked up my Bible 51:33 I picked up the great controversy 51:35 and I read myself and studied myself 51:38 to the spirit of God into conversion, 51:41 into the church and as a preacher 51:43 now for God's people. Amen. 51:46 All because my father prayed. 51:54 If my father's prayer can change my life 51:59 through an incredible experience as that 52:02 was to hear the voice of God moving me to make a 52:05 decision what can our prayers united 52:08 do for lost world. Amen. 52:12 I think we forget that God's that there are people 52:15 out there are need to have their hearts soft 52:17 and before they can hear the message 52:21 and this already enough people championing 52:24 you know sinners killers murderers 52:29 you know in your face gospel type of preaching 52:33 that I tell you right now I in America 52:35 Christianity itself has bad name. 52:40 I was watching recently a one who has held 52:44 herself up as a "woman of great faith" 52:47 who just braving cursed a poor linesmen 52:54 out for making a wrong call 52:57 and those who act in ways that are unbefitting 53:00 as a Christian to the next day stand up 53:02 and say I'm person or man or woman of great faith, 53:05 what is that due for Christianity? Right. 53:08 Don't we need the true version 53:11 of Godliness of Christ? Amen. 53:13 As evidence in the world today? Amen. 53:17 I believe we do but I believe it's gonna take 53:20 more than just effective truth preaching 53:24 a solid argument for our doctrines 53:27 it's going to take much more than that is 53:29 going to take God's people united in prayer. Amen. 53:34 In behalf of hearts around the world. Amen. 53:43 I want to challenge you today 53:47 can I challenge you? Amen. 53:49 I wouldn't fulfiller or complete my job as 53:53 to preach you if I didn't challenge you 53:55 because I've challenge myself 54:00 I want to challenge to spend more time 54:02 deliberately setting aside more time to pray. Amen. 54:09 And specifically not just pray that the gospel 54:12 would go to the whole world or pray for 54:13 the missionaries overseas 54:15 good prayers but not that way 54:17 I'm talking about within understanding of knowing 54:20 that your prayer will not just dissipate in the air 54:25 but that the Lord who is our high priest 54:29 by the alter if incense is waiting for your prayer 54:32 so that as his heart as moved then the hearts 54:36 of those or other people around the world 54:38 can be moved. Amen. 54:40 To praying such away that with forever 54:43 and with earnest desire for the lost souls 54:48 that were on your knees everyday in the morning 54:51 at noon and at night praying for those who need it. 54:57 I want to encourage you to develop a pray list 55:03 get out a piece of paper who do you know at work 55:05 who do you know in your family that needs prayer 55:08 who your friends in unconverted, 55:11 meet Jesus and pour your heart out over those 55:16 names in prayer everyday or every week 55:20 bringing them up frequently before the Lord 55:23 now knowing in the time and I don't need the time 55:26 in which we live but knowing what that does 55:28 to the heart of God. Amen. 55:31 Can I encourage to do that today? 55:34 Because you know in my life as a pastor 55:39 I'm not going to be effective 55:42 in my own Ministry in my own church 55:45 unless my heart is first before God in prayer. 55:52 I can tried up squelch all the complaining and 55:56 all the back biting and the things that we all 55:58 the churches suffer from whether the Adventist 56:02 or any other denomination we have all got that going on. 56:05 I can do my best to stop 56:07 all that but unless I'm praying, 56:10 I'm pleading and pouring out my heart to God 56:14 I restrict him in a way from solving those issues 56:18 uniting his church and allowing to move forward 56:22 for God to accomplish his great work of 56:26 not only preparing the harvest but then one day 56:31 harvesting that great harvest 56:35 so that we all that day 56:37 can finally go home to be with Jesus 56:39 and I believe one that day you're going to see 56:41 where your prayers have done. Amen. 56:44 You may not see it now but don't let yourself 56:47 get discourage pour out your heart to God. 56:49 Will you pray with me now? Amen. 56:51 Dear father in heaven. |
